@@wbat5816 A Pupu is a cute blue alien that first showed up in a sidequest in FF8. In FF13-2 you fight a bunch of them along with their UFO in a DLC arena battle.
@@Vallandriel there are two other tracks that resemble this one. Ff12 Giza Plains and Lightning Returns' The Saviour. I think there was another too but I forgot now. Giza Plains is the original one though. But paradigm shift is still my favourite overall FF track
@TheFanMark the song itself is called paradigm shift because i think it's because if you remember how paradigm shift works in the gameplay, it gives the feeling that you want to hasten the battle and get to the objective quickly imo. idk how to describe it really but it's like a song that gives a good beat to the song.
in japanese version they mentioned that they've decided to change from "optima change" to "paradigm shift" because it more sensible than their original name.
@TheGhettoTheory Yeah, it fits perfectly because it's the battle theme in a word affected by a paradox. That's why it's just a different version of the last hunter, the original battle song for ff132
Actually, I listened to them. Knowing how dangerous behemoths are from the previous game, I knew it wouldn't be a good idea for me to fight one as I was at the time. People say these games are easy, but... yeah, they really aren't. The bosses especially can be pretty difficult if you don't know what you're doing. -_-
@mrlk13141 if ur recalling the demo where they're in the dead dunes just take into consideration that the ost played during that demo could possibly be placeholders but they could prob still be in the game but im sure those where just placeholders for that specific area and fights
This is probably going to sound silly but I liked the song soon much I replaced ALL the bgms in the ps3 game fundamental unicorn with this song on my first gameplay....just to make sure I heard it when I was charging into battle. This song has that ability to suit any genre of game..fighting, mech, or RPG. Very fitting name if you ask me :D
The song transitions between main instruments such as violin to emphasize that feeling of action and urgency. The musical instruments in a way are the paradigms you're shifting to XD
erm i prefer paradigm shift because the name itself has meaning behind as you play, you keep switching paradigms as "paradigm shift" is switching over to a new role. optima change was a name that they came up but it sounds a bit too random.
hmm, you make a good point, but really i liked it due to its originallity and the fact it had its own life lesson. lightnings choice is not like her but in some ways it made sence...and maybe she just cracked, i guess bitter sweet was a better feeling for what i felt, sorry.
....Hmm...I honestly feel like ''dancing'' or how you people may call it, This is what Noel & Serah would usually listen to? No wonder when i fought them, they started to dance for no apparent reason...I at least thought they were dancing...Hmm...
I have two beefs with the ending: It gave them too obvious an opening for a THIRD sequel so SE could milk it for more cash instead of creating a satisfactory conclusion. Also, when you fight for something, especially to such great music as this, you hope that when it finally is ready, it doesn't ruin your day. Serah's death upset people me more than Aeris'. At least we knew Aeris wasn't totally gone by the end of the game. ...I'm not the only one who hopes Noctis is the one to save her, am I?
Nope. You're just being spiteful because you didn't like this. Lightning's character in this game developed just fine. The reason she fought so hard for a future was for Serah. Everytime something happened with Serah, she spiraled downward emotionally. Even with Serah's death, the world ending, she decided to live for her in a way that would span all time, anything. Alyssa was always twisted, even the first time she's met, she was only interested because of what she could gain from Serah&Noel.
***** All I'm gonna say about the story is that the game's setting leads itself to plot holes considering it a story about paradoxes ie plot holes in space and time. Also too much of the back story is in the supplementary material
Hmmm idk. I guess but I do agree that the characters for the most part suck. I liked hope as an adult though. But I don't think the villains motive was childish. Like watching the person you love die young over and over again knowing you can't do anything to stop it fucks you up. And to know it was all because some god made a decision that completely flicked the time line and caused this whole game to start kinda mAkes you want to destroy god
***** I personally enjoyed 13-2 but after that they should have just made a movie or something for 13-3 to killed the 13th series for good i bet them sales wasn't all that good although i am picking up FF15 cause everything,
In all honesty, this is the best song I've heard from this album so far.
this loops is soo clean
Love this soundtrack
@@spiritualak5147 ME TOO!
I still jam to this tune even now ....there is also a techno mix of this track that i adore
It might appear on pandora on my end like how *FFXIII* 1 did... LOL
Heres a ping if you havent listened to it in a while
I have not played Final fantasy 13 2 yet I really like this battle theme I am really looking forward to playing this game can't wait
For some reason, this song makes me feel like I'm in an emotional space adventure in the future.
they should really use this song as a soundtrack for a game like that
@@CErra310 I don't think SQUARE would allow that...
@@wbat5816 they could make one themselves
I've had this game for I dunno how long, and I can STILL jam out to this!
KEEP 'EM GUESSING! >:D
Hearing this for the first time in the game really made me think 'Square. You have made your final fantasy fans happy again.'
Ever notice how the Daemon type enemies seem to dance perfectly with this song?
damn what? i never realized that until now
espcially those weird synergist dancing bird things
Why is this not 10hrs?
I agree 😔👍🏾
Because Square Enix is like video game music FEDS. They've taken down a lot of Final Fantasy music videos, because of "copyright"
Omg...i love this..
ok
COBRADOR DE ONIBUS 🙄🖕
I love this stuff
more technorchestra music must be created
best final fantasy battle music ever!!!
im so happy their putting this song back in lighning returns

man, i fucking love this
@Yaenipponcover nope it's still called "Paradigm Shift" in Japan. they renamed it to that instead of Optima Change.
Don't lie, as soon as they told you not to go in the dark you went in to the dark to fight the behemoth didn't you?

not yet but i will be working on it. I repeat, "WILL" so expect it to be coming in the future.

The place where you fight the proto fal'cie in 200af is what I think of when I hear this song
:D and it goes well when your actually paradigm shifting :D
Fiddle sawing on top of funky bass... what will the Japanese think of next?
Whatever it is they think of next, it will probably be as awesome as this.

"Paradigm Shift",huh? I love it.
I supposed the Japanese version of this track is "Optima Change" then?
yes, and they mean Asaruto + Basutaa(Assault + Buster)
the first time no cuz i knew how strong that thing was (played FF13) then the others times pretty much yea
im working on it atm.
Take note that the characters right below "Paradigm Shift" are Japanese katakana characters.
Hell yeag cause a behemoth at that stage in the game would make a diffrence.
Seriously, this song, I would play endlessly if it was available on Theatrhythm. But sadly, it is not. :/
I can't believe I just realized that...
this sounds like the music in final fantasy revenant wings
erm i prefer paradigm shift because the name itself has meaning behind as you play, you keep switching paradigms as "paradigm shift" is switching over to a new role. optima change was a name that they came up but it sounds a bit too random.
This is just FFXI's track on an alternate universe where it has a futuristic setting instead of a medieval one.
I'm talking about the whole 'to be continued' thing.
