landr has the clause mentioned in 26:00 because AI-generated stuff is treated like corporate copyright in the UK (AI's operator/custodian gets copyright for 50 years after creation, unwaivable royalty)

We need a Songtrust Video Series - They have 2 -4 with delay on registrations , they were also banned from some perfoming rights organzation , also a lot of unpayed Royalties , On my case i was paid 12, millions views or streams , only because i signed in another PRO (GEMA) they collected and songtrust has to pay these royalties , is the last scam in publishing services..

I think the ToS part about the cover art was saying that the art generations are theirs until you select one to use. This means if it gives you 3 images to choose from per generation, and you select one for cover art, the other 2 don't become yours as well, they just disappear into the electronic ether.

I’ve used Landr purely as a distributor on music that we 100 per cent own. Landr have been very good at paying in a timely manner and their reports seem to reflect reality of streams across the DSPs. In reality I have had a choice over which countries to distribute in and have been able to choose not to distribute in Russia. They are quite good at communication and have help with any problems that crop up. They are based in Canada and I am in the UK - so the time difference in communication is a bit inconvenient. I haven’t touched the other services.

You're great! I am from the UK but live in US and a musician. There is a big push in the UK right now to get this whole AI music business thing sorted out. Unlike the USA where musicians are just business, the UK govt kinda views music as of cultural significance. Consequently you will get $75 if you get a song played on a popular BBC radio show but absolutely diddly squat in America because....well culturally the musicians have always been ripped off in America. I am interested to see how this will go because I cannot see the laws being the same cross Atlantic, eg Duran Duran losing the legal case to get their American rights back in their dotage. How do you stop someone just firing up a VPN and using an American location to create the music? I reckon there needs to be a clearer definition on producer v musician with Wee Davie in the basement on AI being termed a producer because actually he is creating nothing. In other words, the AI company is actually the musician that gets musician rates and Wee Davie is just a producer getting producer rates, whatever they may be

Great video; I really appreciate this! Thanks for the explanations and filtering the jargon into easy terms to understand! Out of curiosity, as a person who is pursuing sync in reference to the non-transferrable ISRC and UPC from Landr, does this mean that the song is forever ineligible for opportunities? Do I have to take the song down and register it with a third-party entity to get UPC and ISRCs that are transferable, etc.?

Why the excitement about the Fair Trade AI Program terms…? It says “proportional to their data contribution in AI models that we host within our AI Tools in operation”, now what does that mean…? How big is your contribution to a given set? What is considered ‘data contribution’ when it comes to ‘training’ AI models? What models are or are not used in production? 🤷‍♂️

Hello, I’ve been following your content for a minute now, and I’ve found myself in need of some legal counsel! Recently I’ve decided to take my music career very seriously. After consistently marketing myself through social media over the last 6 months, I’ve generated over 250,000 Spotify streams. Expecting my first major payout from my distributor CD baby, to my disappointment my songs were removed from Spotifys platform. CD claims there were false streams and marketing malpractice but cannot provide any proof. From a legal and professional standpoint what steps would you advise I take to get paid my royalties and distribute my music moving forward? Please advise thanks!

Okay so this ai music thing is great as a tool to better production, but it’s shit as it is & most distributors won’t touch it even if you actually do own it all. I suggest instead of uploading ai songs, use them as a template & re create them without ai, use them as a reference and put your own voice and instruments, sounds & samples to it and do it almost exactly the same way but manually with a DAWS! Then when you’re done delete the ai version and roll with your own human version of it! That’s the way forward! The labels &distributors & publishers are terrified of ai music because of the evolving legal ramifications of it! Anyway cos I adore Ms.Krystle I thought I might help her followers find the best way to tackle it without upsetting those who are invested in real music eg the labels distributors & publishers. just use it as a reference to recreate the tracks in a traditional way. Did I mention? I’m High Mensa, I know! terrifying huh!!! I piss a lot of people off, but believe me they totally had it coming!!! 🙏🕊️✨✨🛸

She literally never says not to use these platforms. She simply tells you the rules you have to follow, and the things they can do, then the recourse you can take. Then you can decide to use the platform or not. If all you want to do is sell your songs, some of these platforms aren't suitable, others are. She's also working for change in the industry so there's less dodgy stuff in there
