You are absolutely correct about the feeling of flipping in public and how you are so self conscious, when I first started flipping in public I was wondering what everyone around me was thinking and I messed up a lot in my flipping and the fear of losing a Balisong to confiscation or other issues just made me think “it’s gonna suck to replace this” cuz Balisongs are EXPENSIVE, but that’s my personal experience :)
The ideal public flipper would a squiddy al v2 with jimping and better grip with the balance of a kraken or smth hopefully they make it happen one day🙏
really like your videos, keep up the good content! i would add to this that i think a helpful factor for public flipping is a purpose(bottle opener, comb, etc) that way should you be questioned one why you're carrying it with you in public, it actually serves an undeniable function.

Fire Baldi Bias video as always, your view on easy replacability almost being an alternative to straight durability was really well-articulated, same with the matter of no current knife being perfect in all three pillars. Couple points I want to add though (yap incoming): 1. I am wholeheartedly of the opinion that bali-combs dominate above everything, including the Squiddy-AL, when it comes to being non-threatening, for one reason in particular: you can prevent strangers' concerned looks and questions from occurring immediately and from a distance. Just stop flipping when someone notices you and/or looks worried, comb your hair, and unless there's some comb-knife hybrid everyone but me is aware of, all qualms disappear on the spot. Granted, there then comes the issue that there's really no phenomenal or even great choice in this category at the moment besides the Orion V1 comb and some of Maxace's stuff, which aren't the easiest to obtain, or, for some reason, the MXNIUM Swordfish V2.5, which is a thing that happened (not the best flipper and it kind of really needs the Zippy Weight Caps, but it's workable enough, the comb's effective, and it's apparently 7075 for $41-$43 [I'm doubtful but that's what the one site I found it on lists it as so we're gonna roll with it], so it's my current EDC alongside the Canyon trainer). What I'm trying to say is that a performant Nabalis comb would be a literal money factory for them and I'm seriously surprised they haven't gone for it by now. 2. Somewhat related, if you end up getting sent one or picking one up, I'd be really curious to hear what you have to say about the LDY Frank, especially when it comes to this topic. From what I've gathered and seen, it's the closest currently available product I can think of that's the total opposite of a false edge live blade (besides maybe that friggin' sharpened Arctic, I wish I knew where I could see that thing in action), yet its potential worse case scenarios are a lot... well, worse. I still think it's a fun idea that deserves to be out there, and I trust the community not to be stupid and/or psychopaths when it comes to handling it, but the possibility is ultimately still there.
I agree with everyghing in this video, but about the cheese coating durabliity, it's definitely not as durable as something with an ano, but un-anodized is surprisingly soft metal, like scratch-with-your-finger type soft
Personally I jus go for 1am walks and jus do what I want cus it’s literally pitch black they can’t see and if they can slightly see that I’m flipping then they will either think it’s a toy or a knife but they ain’t gonna come up to me 😂
Hey Ethan. Just got a superfly and I’ve noticed the pins moving around and I can hear them jiggling around. I was just wondering if you had any issues with that and what you might do to fix that
I prefer to keep my money and my support to makers that show a little passion or care for the good of the hobby rather than companies that steal designs and care about nothing more than making a quick buck off of us. Also please point me to a single Will Hirsch clone review that isn't some 30 dollar Amazon thing, it won't exist because they have a similar mindset

Canyon trainer might be the best public flipper, it’s cheap, durable and flips fine

You can loctite or just put some cotton/tissue under the weights :)
