"Allies of the leaf, shinobies of the sand." I've seen this scene no less than 100 times, and it still gets me hyped af.
the writer perfectly lined up Temari's response in the most perfect way.
Gaaras father was the leader of the sand people, but orochimaru killed him and pretended to be him and ordered the sand people to attack the leaf. After orochimaru was revealed the sand people became allies with the leaf and are at war with orochimaru
They were allies before also. That's why they held the chunin exams together.
I remember when I saw this on Twitch. I didn't destroy my chair but I felt like I opened the 1st gate of hype as well! I want to thank you again it really feels like I am able to enjoy this show for the 1st time again when watching your reactions. So thanks!!!

God, this brings back so many memories of my own hype watching Naruto as a kid. We had just gotten internet and learned i could watch anime online, like before it was officially subbed and could be streamed (cuz streaming services didn't exist back then.) The OG's were watching Naruto on UA-cam, episode's split into 3 parts, fan subbed, in 360p (480p if the uploader was good.) i know yall remember. The Sasuke retrieval arc was so hype. I remember reacting just like you to Lee's appearance and the reintroduction of the Sand Siblings. Your reactions fill me with such nostalgia.

Funfact, this kind of battle is a reference to drunken Kun Fun (Zui Quan). It's a real method of fighting. The idea is, that the moves are so random, that your opponent can not say, what you are planning to do next in battle. And Sorry for my bad English 😅

Your excitement is justified. When kishimoto is really cooking he’s one of the best in business. Make NO mistake , naruto when it was still ongoing WAS the most popular of the big three. Zoomers think because one piece has the most Japanese manga sales that it’s the biggest, that idea is simply false. Naruto as an anime was massively more popular than one piece . And don’t even get me started on dragonball , the global fanbase of that ip dwarfs all of the big 3 combined. The difference is dragonball fans don’t buy as much manga (because we don’t read lol) but it does have more fans (mostly from the anime) worldwide than naruto, bleach AND one piece combined. That’s not hyperbole , I’m dead serious. TLDR thinking naruto is the best of the big 3 isn’t a hot take, it’s completely justified and accurate, and I say this as a pretty big bleach fan as well. Naruto is simply better than the other two and was the ACTUAL heir apparent to dragonballs legacy back in the day.
Lets go! The power of the Drunken Fist! Rock Lee is such a good fighter even when drunk lol but the way the Sand Ninja show up after to help was so cool, I can't wait for the episodes coming next!

Temari jumped right into that with an attack, the other two sand ninjas didn't attack, but she was aggressive right off the bat. Hopefully the three kids of the former Kazekage can save our ninjas, maybe they can come and save your poor chair next lol.

The “just in the nick of time rescue” is definitely a played out trope in anime… but hfs, Lee and the Sand Siblings are two of the best uses of that trope in the entire genre!

Drunken fist is a real form of chinese martial arts that was popularised by none other than Jackie Chan!
It imitates the form of a drunk person to make their movements unpredictable. You can google Jackie Chan drunken fist to take a look at a live action version if you want.

Happy seeing your reaction, that's how I felt too when I was watching the show. I just literally started watching anime last year since it's not really my thing. After watching one piece live action people kept recommending to watch op anime too but I tried watching naruto instead thinking that I won't be able to finish it. But to my surprise, the first episode got me and everything follows. Regretted that i'm not watching it when I was a kid. The motivation this show has and all the emotions they put in the show is just amazing. I even tried watching other animes but nothing pulled me the way naruto did.

Lol imagine a 13 year old me having these same breakdowns lmao I was obsessed with this anime growing up and it still gives me shivers to this day after being an adult. I love Bleach too but there is something about Naruto that is above other animes. Now you know why it is the most popular anime in history.
13:00 Kimimaro has been sick and bed-ridden for God knows how long...he understands the importance of taking your medicine. If it had been anyone else, they probably WOULD have cut Lee down. But Kimimaro allows it because he knows what it's like.

Now, I can FINALLY say, that you can officially like Gaara. (and his sand siblings, if you wish, too) As a little recap, so it makes a little more sense (if you missed anything ) It was the sand Kage's decision to attack the leaf village, and partner with the Sand Village. HOWEVER, it was under false pretenses, because the REAL KazeKage had been killed by Orochimaru, and Orochimaru was impersonating him. When the Sand village realized this, they UNCONDITIONALLY surrendered to the leaf. This was mentioned as a sort of throwaway line. In other words, the Sand siblings were just following orders, when they attacked the Leaf. It wasn't personal. Naruto definitely had an effect on Gaara. You will finally see what the new and improved Gaara can do.

This is certainly Naruto's best arc, in my opinion no other comes close to this level of emotion, Shippuden for me only has a few specific arcs but with a different feel.
