      Man, I kind of bristled at Adam's comment that CEE does the same things he does at a larger scale. I mean, yes, it's a milling and turning and pressing and troubleshooting and both are impressive in their own way. But, I don't know, most of what Adam does is stuff for fun because he's successful enough to not really need to do "work" to put food on his table anymore (and even when he was doing stuff to put food on the table, a lot of it was "fun" stuff). Adam is like a professional hobbyist and Kurtis is a professional ... professional. They don't seem that similar to me. No offense to Adam or anything.

    • @trikstari7687
      @trikstari7687 6 місяців тому +1

      @@delucain I think his comment was more along the lines of "Holy shit, I'm really just playing around with tonka trucks while this guy is driving a full sized mining excavator" kind of thing.
      I think it was more of his gaining a bit of context and self awareness of the small scale of what he does compared to someone like Kurtis.

    do not worry about not talking much in the video. at this point, after watching countless of your videos I am pretty much an expert on this field and everything is narrated in my head in Kurtis voice. (never touched lathe in my life :)

    I have watched CEE from almost the beginning. I am amazed how much Kurtis has improved in his matching, welding and assembly skills. His camera presentation has improved as well. Karen's skills as a videographer and film editor have improved as well. I think she is on par with the best Hollywood has to offer. I still can't figure out how Homey knows what packages are his and how did he learn to open them as fast as Kurtis.This is my favourite commercial machine shop video and the only one on my favourites list. Keep up the fantastic work.

    I'm a very young girl from Cleveland, Ohio USA 🇺🇸 always amazed with your work, Karen cinematography is TOP NOTCH! and of course the little Officer....priceless. Now F@@K OFF TRAINS and get to work, 😂 we want to see part 2,3,4....of the crane project.
    Your channel is awesome! A suggestion, you should paint the crane the color of your shirt....blue/new orange/original with white and black raCING STripes.
    Have a great weekend🍻

      You must not know Adam's politics, or what he's said about anyone that doesn't think exactly like him. Down-to-Earth is the very last thing Adam Savage is. He is a phony. The person on you see on TV is not who he really is. Imagine that!...

    I love the fact u put the bloopers in shows us that things are not perfect all the time and makes us more relatable. That’s why I love watching you. It’s really interesting because you never know how hard it is just to make things run because everything we see half the time goes, smooth, special machinery, the one that goes bad who fixes it, and how they fix it I never knew want to tell. I started watching your channel. Keep it up the great work you do.

    Great video, Kurtis! As a mechanical engineer and a fellow UA-cam creator, I really appreciate the level of detail and craftsmanship you put into your projects. The process of rebuilding the boom lift cylinders on the Franna crane is fascinating. It's impressive how you're able to fabricate new rods, cylinder rod eyes, and barrels to restore the crane's functionality.
