- Jandy AE2000T electric pool heat pump heater with leaking service ports. Didn’t even need to use the Elitech leak detector - if you see oil residue, chances are there is your leak.

Zilla this is where you ask for a raise cuz look how happy mp is. He secretly doesn't want you to go.:D
Please stay Godzilla you and Mikey make a good team 😀
Pete from UK
Give the zilla a raise. Keep Godzilla
Mikey you gotta keep the kid with the Skinny Jeans. From what I’ve seen of your crew ( no disrespect to the other Mike) and the replacement guy. I think Skinny Jeans is your future. He is like a sponge, soaking up everything your teaching him. Hard to find guys like that who seem to have the knack for the work. Don’t think Kelvin is coming back and he doesn’t appear to be too big a loss.Steven will be hard to replace. Give him a few bucks more and keep teaching him. Ten years from now he could be your biggest asset( if he stays) or your biggest competitor ( if he leaves) . Just some food for thought.👍🇨🇦
I may have misunderstood but I thought it was lawful to recover the R22, do the necessary repairs and system tightness test and then transfer the recovered R22 back into the unit, topping off as required with ‘new’ R22 to achieve specified system performance? Of course I am ignoring the economics of the situation. Good video.
I would agree looking for a leak pressure testing and so forth but at least try to tighten up the Schrader valve or replace it . Leak repair can be costly on split systems. This one is a small unit . You gave the client options there choice , nice call 👍
Yes I'm a licensed contractor.
Mikey Pipes, Great videos !!!!!
Have you run into many Jandy JE3000T Heat Pumps that start hammering randomly when in operation ? Shutting the unit off and re-starting clears the noise but it will occur again in a few days/weeks. Is this the start of compressor failure ? This is the second unit in 5 years. The first one was completely replaced by a new unit by Jandy. Have you run into this issue in your service experience ?
@@PipeDoctor if you have time would you be able to watch a video and let me know what you think ? i could email you....Absolutely no rush as everything has been shutdown and winterized
Godzilla is always awesome , like you tech level always Diligent aware of your surroundings all cost
Why not just change it with the tool, schraeders valve cost $1, easy peasy
Honest call.... Mikey you remind me of the drummer from the Monkees lol Micky Dolenz
Oh come on Mike, you like crawling up 4 foot walls to get to a unit in the attic. We know you love it !
Good video mike 👍🏼
Nice panel work brotha 😆 😳
Must be for that mini split
You look happy with the zilla !
Hope he sticks it out this( IMO) the best business to be in!!!
This is for the zilla, bring a small note pad and just scribble everything down don't be afraid to take notes!
Nobody and I mean NOBODY KNOWS EVERYTHING.
You will be fine if you get overwhelmed just ask the question than write it down!!
I still get that funny feeling before every job!
You have the 3rd best U- tuber on my list😆😆😂🤣😅👀
Jk👀🤔

Stay safe.
BTW pool heaters are needy like navi's
Retired(werk'n) keyboard super tech.
Wear your safety glasses.
@@PipeDoctor they don't beat it's a slide scale!!😆😂
1-THE LAV he's a lone wolf for 30+ years!
2- and I think I saw yOu creeping on his channel - Chris from HVACR videos because he does similar things that I use to only he is way more thorough(lots of nuggets)
And then you 🤔😂😂🤣🤣😅!
You can't be mad with that!!🥃🥃🍺🍺🍺🍇🏌
The panel in the background in you office?
You could have change schraders, leak check with electronic leak detector again and if no other leaks, topped of system and left unit working. If there were any significant leak found, do a 407C conversion. Just saying. 🤔
is the Schrader core loose?
Riddle.... what makes the seal? The Schrader core or the schrader cap?
Well done!
Zilla back for good?
Could you replace a fan run capacitor with a dual run capacitor as long as the mfds are the same and just not use the herm terminal?
You could have used some of that fake drop in r22 for that and got him up and running instead of leaving the customer without! With no equipment available because of the pandemic that would be cost effective! Bad for business to leave a customer without Mikey pipes!
maybe even suck out the 22 and put something else in ya that bad but if it needs replaced anyways what is there to loose
407 conversion
Alot of solutions to be considered except for leaving the customer without anything!
@@jefferygrady3181 Then again,it's not really an emergency to have 80 degree pool water
Can supply on this also be affected by the IC chip shortage the whole world is facing? Appliances are an arm and a leg now cuz .. there is just no supply of chips just like Ford F150's - no trucks cuz no chips. I'm sure the lack of labor has a contribution, but certainly not the lions share for supply shortages market wide.
Miss ya Zilla!
Mikey. 427a direct R22 replacement is less that 10 bucks a pound. No need to do anything just drop it in.
@@devnull7550 not sure what you saw or read. But I have been dropping in 427a like a B2 bomber in World War Two. Never any issues what do ever. New and old systems alike.
Keeping it real, very informative.
Damn mike at least throw those wires in a junction box on top of the panel.
Throw some MO99 in there. The efficiency of MO99 is a major Loss though
Can I have this guys number I want that heater I'll just fill with nu22 after recovering the r22
Zilllllllllllla
I missed something somewhere, did Godzilla get a new job?
Just dump some MO99, much cheaper....
Godzilla 🇸🇻🇸🇻
