- Most DAWs should have a stock Lo Fi plugin for you to try this technique on.
Your DAW may not have this particular one, but the Lo Fi Plugin in protools can be useful in many ways.
One way I like to use it is to tame harsh vocals and cymbals.
You can bring down the sample rate, add just a little distortion and saturation, and then bring back in the presence with the “Anti-Alias” slider but without the harshness.
It’s kind of like magic… well maybe not, but it’s cool!
Someone please tell me what the Anti-Alias means and is actually doing.
Let me know what you think!

That plugin can make a vocal sound legit in seconds.
Yo this is amazing ! Gonna try it. If I figure out why and what it is I ll share my findings, cheers !
Very cool trick
I'll try using it
Remember when using saturation and distortion compensate the gain, because every 0.1 ads 1db ish, so when louder it sounds “better”
Its sounds like analog with lofi effect cool
Yeah! Nice trick!
Can you do this with decimort?
wonder if this was how it was meant to be used? Cool trick anyway.
Does any body know if ...the parameters of this plug in can be automated and how????
