The main reason I created the Insty Connect as a modular RV internet device is so you can have all the options available to get the fastest internet on the road. Introducing the Insty Connect Binoculars antenna!
In this video I'll show you the difference between your phone, the standard Insty Connect Angel Wings and the Binoculars antenna for getting the fastest internet on the road.

    Nick:
We’ve been enjoying the Angel wings with our 19 ft EPro we purchased in January. Fast forward 9 months and we’re going to pick up our new 41 ft Grand Design 5th wheel and planning on going full time. Your binocular antenna looks like a great addition. I still need to work remotely and you guys have helped a lot.

My family and I are enjoying the 4g12 with visible. Ping Is around 70-110, down is around 25-30, and up is around 10. That's with the angel wing sitting inside next to the window. When I have time I will put it up on the roof. I'm saving up for the 5g20 and the binoculars atm. As great as the insty and angel wings are I do have one suggestion, for the power cable that plugs into the router. You should shrink wrap it or if possible change the plug all together so it would be more sturdy where you plug it in the router. Take care and keep up the great work nick and family!

@@taterfab8845 at first I noticed some throttling but when I watched a video posted by larry K explaining to change the TTL (time to live) settings in advance to 64, I didnt notice any throttling after that but i did notice that after every few hours it would cut out completely and thought it was being throttled but I decided to test out the TTL setting Linux 64 and ever since then it's been working flawlessly with no throttling until yesterday something happen and I'm still trying to figure out the problem. I talked with visible and they said the sim was working normal so I figured maybe the Insty Connect needs an update and I tried logging onto it but kept getting notified that the IP address couldn't be found so I made a ticket with Insty Connect and I'm hoping Nick or someone can help me out because the routers lte lights are still lit up. Hope my router didnt get hacked. :(

100% agree. The power cables are very cheaply made. I've gone through 2 of them already. The wires are very small guage and they break off where they are crimped at the plug. I'm now using the 12v hardwire harness that it came with and was extremely delicate when installing it so as not to break the wires off. Other than that, no complaints.

@@tonyking3742 I have only been using the 12v hardwire on mine. I wired it into a fuse in my panel so it always has power. Then the router is mounted under one of our bunks.

@@bennguyen24 Yeah, i think that Nick sent out an FAQ update email yesterday that one part of the firmware updates it supposed to help with the timing out / disconnecting. I am currently using Google Fi and I have a sim for both of our lines giving us a total of around 44gb before we are throttled so i switch between the sims manually. The good thing is that we are weekend warriors and only use our camper a couple times a month a max. Full timing would definately be more challenging.

@@snookrookie Hi Robert! Yes, in my usage of the binoculars antenna, it has allowed me to acquire a better signal. I'm using the InstyConnect with AT&T and Visible (Verizon). I also have a Winegard Togo that I use with T-Mobile. The Togo is the same as a Connect. I use the data from the InstyConnect most of the time as I get a better signal strength with the binoculars antenna. It takes a few extra minutes to get the best direction set but it's worth it.
