I used to watch this song on a certain channel on Direct Tv that played Christian rock, this was one of my favorites that played on there. Can’t believe it’s been 12 years!
Count me in as well, from India. I listened to this in the early 2011 while kids of my age listened to Vh1 hits. Abracadavers, Coldest heart, Salt in the Snow, my all time favourites. Underrated band. I'm going to cover songs 'Salt in the Snow in my channel.
It's like I never had time to look away. Bodies stuck between death and decay, Are plastic and set up on display. And their eyes are wide and they are looking my way. Each ligament exposed, each muscle connected. And every organ that I proudly neglected. I've been arranged for the common collective. Stomaching the sight of human flesh resurrected. It seems we're fearfully made and designed. But it's a shame we can be so blind. We're all the same, Made of hair and bones and water and blood cells. We're all to blame, For spending way too much time on ourselves. I have been blessed and now I'm blind. A veil's been pulled over my eyes. Now every bad season that kept me believing seems so contrived. There's more glory to be seen And savored through suffering Than ever was through self-serving escape. It seems we're fearfully made and designed. But it's a shame we can be so blind. We're all the same, Made of hair and bones and water and blood cells. We're all to blame, For spending way too much time on ourselves. Ashes to ashes And dust to dust! 'Cause we're all the same, Made of hair and bones and water and blood cells. We're all to blame, For spending way too much time on ourselves.
Over a year ago, I remembe turning on my tv to this random christian music channel, and by chance, seeing only the last forty or fifty seconds of this music video. I've been in love with everything by this band ever since.
I first saw them when they opened up for Emery/Anberlin five years ago - Easily the best opening act I've ever seen. They opened with "The Fight", followed with "Blisters & Coffee" and the whole place went nuts. One of the best bands I've ever seen live. What's even better is that their lyrics are Godly.
I love this song... They came and played at my school [Pierce college] and were even entertaining to watch there. Like... really small lunchtime concert where everyone was really too busy getting to class to pay attention... but I recorded part of one of their songs on my cell and looked up the lyrics when I got home [I'm short and couldn't see their name on the drums] and now am hooked. Keep rocking TCC!
First song I ever heard was Blindfolded and I loved it. Looked up the lyrics and found out about these guys. This is the second or third song I ever heard from them. This is the first time I've ever seen the band and the lead singer kinda caught me off guard with the beard. I'm used to people in bands of this genre being clean shaven for the most part. It was a pleasent suprise in my opinion.
Wow, you couldn't be more wrong. Christ speaks powerfully and relevantly today in our lives. You just need to be listening. I was at a camp where I was able to speak prophetically into people's lives where I could never have known what was going on, but they knew, and God touched their hearts. God is talking if you're listening. And on the music topic, Classic Crime rocks! :)
The person that in charge of an autopsy is a coroner or a medical examiner... but most coroners and m.e. 's are forensic pathologists,so in that perspective you are correct. Pathologists test for, diagnose, and research diseases in living humans by testing bodily fluids and biopsies
@nephets64 Quoted from wikipedia: "Some fans have assumed that The Classic Crime is a Christian band due to being signed on to Tooth & Nail Records .... However, The Classic Crime does not label themselves a "Christian" band." They're not a christian band.
@@gitghetto They don't label themselves as Christian because some of their members aren't decided on their religion. Their music is essentially indie/alternative rock with Christian elements. A pop-genre equivalent would be Owl City. Both lead singers of both bands have testified to this. They themselves are Christian, but they wouldn't call their bands totally Christian. And yet, there is a subtle undertone of Christianity in the lyrics, regardless of your views.
Thousand Foot Krutch is a great band that has covered a lot of ground with their music, ranging from Linkin Parke-esque Rapcore to an Alternative Metal feel in their music. Haven't really heard much of PiLLaR though, but their new album "Confessions", out the 22nd, sounds great...
i totally agree. it just sucks sometimes when you go to watch/listen to a video and the band is one of those where there's the "Christian or non-Christian" debate/question & almost EVERYONE is arguing about it. but, yeah, i like to find out a band is/has christians b/c their lyrics seem to sometimes have more meaning-to me, but that doesn't mean i'll stop listening to a band that isn't Christian-only if the lyrics are bad/vulgar.
@youreigngod95 It's a play on words. A cadaver is a dead body, usually referred to as such when it's in a morgue getting an autopsy (reason why music video is in a morgue). And abracadabra - well, we all know what that is. Just a play on words.
@xbox360crazed If you read their bio on wikipedia or look up their genre on itunes, they're not a Christian band. You're right though, this song has great lyrics :)
Creepy. Reminds me of the Satanic backtracking a lot of musicians have been doing since the 80's. Also, dance of death? Uhh… no thank you! I'd rather live forever in Heaven.
to all who are arguing about whether The Classic Crime is a Christian Band or not, it really depends on how you interpret the lyrics. In my opinion, they are a Christian Band but it really depends on what the lyrics mean to you. :)
yep thats straight from the bible: Psalms 139:14 - I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
I bet a lot of people have said this already but this band is legitimately one of the most underrated bands I’ve ever known.
💯
Definitely
At least deserves to be up there in anberlin in my opinion
I used to watch this song on a certain channel on Direct Tv that played Christian rock, this was one of my favorites that played on there. Can’t believe it’s been 12 years!
Was i utv or something like that? Miss that channel 😢
Ugh I loved TVU. I'd watch that late into the night on the weekends!
I still think of this song often
I've been trying to find this song for years. No amount of Google search could fix my mistakes when typing in abracadabraers lol
This song seems to be more relevant today than it was then and I still love this wonderful and underrated gem
2023 this still is the best song ever
these guys are the greatest band ever
Oooooommmmggggg!!!! I have been searching for this song for a year!!! Thanks UA-cam!! I first this song like 10 years ago.....
Still a certified banger
I love watching music videos and seeing all the ridiculous places they decide to stick the drum set...
I love bands that are from Seattle!!!! And this is one of the bands!
Sad that they couldn't come as far as other mainstream rock band of 2000s era. I may be the only one listening to this band from India..
Oh no, you're wrong; count me as well.

+Anna Howell We've been listening to these guys for a while - heavy influences for us. Agreed that it's as good as the first listen

This video always showed on the Gospel Music Channel on Saturday nights! Good times watching those music video shows.
I love this song...

They're not a christian band.
Just most of their band are Christians and the sing about morals and some times hint at God.
@@loverfromlove They also sometimes sing about food.
They must be food then, right?

First song i heard from TCC c: 3

this ROX!!!
fosho
i don't know if it's an actual word but my guess on it was that it is a mix of "abracadabra" and "cadaver"
Almost the end of 2023. Something tells me that everyone here in the comments is gonna remember eachother next year and on 😂❤
i think christian bands always have the best lyrics no matter what style of music
3:03 best guitar spin ever
@iRawrAtMonster I think it was actually. I don't really watch the channel, I just flipped to it one day and by chance it was when this song was on.

Matt is soooo awesome!!

@gitghetto ya they are
wat genre is this
just curious
"It seems we’re fearfully made and designed
But it’s a shame we can be so blind"
Fun Fact: One of the whispers when reversed say "Everyone must dance the dance of death". Any thoughts?
can't avoid it might as well dance lol

@eleventhousandfour GMC's Rock Block? Haha
That awkward moment when your well-dressed cadaver starts to sing The Classic Crime.

@bigsgamer Your awesome, i love you.
Oooooooor we can ignore religion and focus on the fact that The Classic Crime ROCKS. :)
@gitghetto but it is a band of christian guys; you are right tho
