The funny thing about that joke is that it literally happens in the game.
Vinny went from: "Oh YES!"

In my abject horror, I only realized after my body had taken over that once the trailer revealed the release date was upon us already did I begin hooting like a monkey in uninhibited primal jubilant celebration.

i honestly cant imagine that only this will be remastered. granted thats me just TODAY being hopeful after all the years of a rumored remaster and me never believing it. and now its here, like wtf?

it starts with Prime being shadowdropped, then we get the same with Prime 2 later this year, then Prime3 in
the direct during that would "coincidentally" take place around E3...and they finally announce Prime4 will be coming in 2024.
now that is HYPER wishful thinking, but it would be real similar to what they did with the Xenoblade franchise where they got all 3 story connected games on the same system.
I can live without Prime 3, it was honestly pretty mid since it was actually just a glorified version of a motion control tech demo. Lots of good ideas, but very few executed well.
Prime 2, though? We need that immediately.
Oh yes, also Elysia...I really hope they upgrade the other two the same. The better Prime 1 sells, the more likely it is

The fact that this was shadow-dropped makes me worried, but on the optimistic side, this might be Nintendo's way of serving up an appetizer to keep us at bay until Prime 4.
I mean, one of the key features they talked about was being able to play it like a normal FPS game on console, might be that Prime 4's controls are similar.

Typical Nintendo fashion to hype up half-assed remasters like Mario 3D Allstars and Skyward Sword HD, and then shadow drop an amazing Prime 1 remaster
doesn't get a special announcement section either, just "oh yea here's metroid" ... i think Nintendo is biased to out of country dev-teams lol
And it's $20 less than Skyward Sword! It's so refreshingly unlike Nintendo in that regard.
Hearing Vinny say "I am so happy," the way he did in this and during the Banjo Smash reveal gives me a strong sense of satisfaction I can't describe. It's just so wholesome, dare I say, adorable?
Nintendo is just feeding us Metroid, and I love it.
Not quite the shadow drop of this one, but I also remember that we didn't have to wait long at all for Metroid Dread to release after it was announced.
Vinny's reaction at 2:15 is exactly how i felt. There are so many damn good games coming out this month, and now a remake of one of the best nintendo games ever made? god damn it my wallet is going to be crying. (im gonna wait for physical preorder though!)

Been playing it all evening, it's a solid remaster. Vinny should be happy
What's better is that this is not just a port of a game with a little bit of upscaling and slapped as a $60 product. It's a fully fledged remaster that looks gorgeous, has a ton of customizability that you don't see in a Nintendo game, AND is $40.
What drives me crazy is that this got so little fanfare from the Big N in comparison to some of the other remasters/HD editions of other classics of theirs. How is it that we live in a world where utter garbage like the Silent Hill HD Collection, GTA Trilogy "Definitive" Edition, and that godawful remake of XIII garnered more significant fanfare for their announcements and yet this excellent remaster doesn't?

Fellas, help me out. I absolutely love Metroid and especially Prime 1, one of my favorite games ever. I was beyond hyped at this… But I just beat Prime 1 like three weeks ago. So… Do I bite the bullet and get the remaster, or nah? I love it’s existence by principle though.

I thought about getting the retail version but just couldn't wait; I still can't believe how good this remaster turned out. And it came out so casually and out of nowhere, no prior announcement, no "Please take a look at this" before the trailer, it was just one of the Direct's headlines.

@@gold_spin1639 Nintendo was still evolving from its N64 mono stick era with the GameCube kinda... sorta. You had to hold down the left shoulder button for vertical look. The C button stick was used for weapon selection

I cant wait till I get paid in the morning gonna buy it when I first played it I was very young and played the gamecube version on the wii and I would always replay the first level because it was easy for me and I watched my cousin and dad get farther but never beat it
