Sadly grapplinks wouldnt work as the stages had to work for all weapons
they put grapplinks in the same game as the hero blaster
@@acer1kylesf943 and then they learned their lesson. Plus blaster was good with the aoe, whereas something like roller is gonna struggle without range chips

I honestly don't mind the stage repeats. You learn the stage layout, then get that stage for a different objective and can strategise/modify existing strategies to pass it in a new way
So I first found out the Parallel Cannon’s use pallets based on your past runs is when I encountered one with a max fire rate blaster
I remember getting a cruel Sisyphean splatzone floor on divided, It was also a danger level and had lights out and no item drops
THAT THING TOOK ME 19 MINUTES JUST TO GET A INK ATTACK BUFF (it was +5% btw)

Atleast you completed yours lol. I swear I only beat that map once! And it was only because I had a good pallet. And even then, I had to be on my A game the entire time

Mountain Ascent (13:21) and Combined Forces (13:39) are definitely my favorite levels in Side Order. I don't know what it is about them, but both stages are just so fun to beat

Ok so cruel sisyphean is actually not that bad. Thats because the sprinklers always follow a pattern: the sprinklers that spawn on top go to one side to ink the zone, and go down to the other side. The sprinklers that spawn down, go first to that other side and then on the top path to the other side. If you know where every sprinkle guy comes from and goes, it is pretty managable
CS still sucks tho
Until you realize your weapon has no range
I beat it pretty fast with roller, because I didn't need to go from zone to zone but from zone to top spawner
Sisyphean is a range or mobility check that filters people with either bad builds or short ranged weapons. SIsyphean is manageable if you're mobile enough to cycle between both zones or long-ranged enough to cycle between both zones without moving away too much from the top center.
Unless the floor rewards you with the chip you DESPERATELY needed, I'm not sure why people would actually push for Sisyphean especially considering it's graded Rigorous
it only shows up towards the end of your run and functions as a mobility check. it's good 👌
3:31 if you have some splash radius increase then all of the pufferfish will pop in a chain reaction making it super easy
You honestly don't need it, just pop the balloons as you go around and take the rails 1 more time as they get stuck in the ink from the last pops
Pretty sure smollusk spawns enemies based on the floors you visited.
After having dome 2 runs with the same pallet, I can confirm that one spawned tons of the snipers while the other spawned tons of the thing that spawns homing arpegios.

The Sisyphean floor is the MOST intense floor ever, even worse with a short range weapon, and I simply AVOID it at all cost even IF they have the color chip I want. If I were to pick my personal floor as my favorite..... Unreasonable Mountain without hesitation. Add the Ultra Stamp, and I'm gonna play PACMAN Splatoon edition. As for my least favorite..... surprisingly NOT Sisyphean, but Elusive Bounder 20F variant

My favorite stage is definitely the five portals stage where each portal is placed higher and higher. My least favorite is splat zones crosshairs. This stage is so bad I remembered it’s name just so I can make sure what I’m getting out of it is worth it or not.
Its kind of funny that a stage titled "unreasonable mountain battlefield ascent" is actually one of the most fun and beloved stages in the game
The reversal floor intends to you to not go up to the uninkable part, if you stay down, only the beyblade guys will spawn so you can take both portals out no problem
Careful_Aim_Reversal is the one I hate the most. It's what killed my very first run, and it generally makes any of the bonus objectives impossible.
I don't mind Coverage_Between_Crosshares . . . or I didn't until I got it during an Ultra Stamp only challenge run. Took over 45 minutes and cost 2 lives, single handedly bloating that run into my longest one yet.
Yeah, my VERY first run after the tutorial WAS Careful_Aim_Reversal in Lights Out, which TOTALLY screwed me since, like many players, I had no clue what was it gonna be since ??? was shown
@@lozangekitten-gamer7626 Mine had a no main weapon bonus I didn't abandon, and I'd only swapped Storm for Kraken. Not exactly the kind of kit that can pull off a win under those conditions.
Also the high tower floor has two portal variants for some reason. One with a portal in the bottom middle and top left, and the other with one on the very top and one halfway up on the right
Rising Ground floor has 2 portal variants as well, one of the rigorous
My favorite floor: The grass I get to touch after finally clearing the tower with all the weapons (even the spoiler pallet)
8:47 Pro tip: unless you get the 'No Drone' Danger modifier, the weakness of a short-range weapon on this floor can be overcome simply by gliding to the upper ledge at the start.

For Bombarded(Constant), I like to hang out in the uninkable part for the entirety of the round. Pearl drone can just barely get you on top, and from there you can pretty much always paint the zone from the high ground and gain a permanent advantage in completing the stage with any range. Make sure to spawncamp the sprinklerfish, though!
Nintendo got tired of asking us to buff Sprinkler. So they showed us what a buffed Sprinkler would look like and made us fight it😂
For the orbit rail, you just need splash radius and explosion damage and then it will be quickly easy to destroy them. A little tip for anyone who has been wondering why you can't beat it that much so yeah.😊😅❤
I actually really love Cruel Sisyphean, because it really holds up to the Relentless tier.
I really think it and Relentless Mountain deserved their S.
A little disappointed for On the Run Eternally Hunted didn't get S, but can't argue, the floor layout isn't really that exciting.
It was the first floor I ever struggled with (I think it took me 10-15 minutes my first run), so every victory now feels amazing
I like that zones is basically the new 8-ball
tbh i don't think stage variety is the issue here i think there is just enought, HOWEVER it would have been nice to have more bosses, a unique boss for each weapons for exemple, 4 boss total is way too few for a roguelike, i also think that more danger variety would have been nice idk something like giant inkstorm, jelleton rain (falling from the sky), slippery ink, etc ... (also a danger only mode/hack would have been awesome)
On fortress if you have wall as your sub weapon you can just put it in the only place the jelletons come in from and focus on the sprinklers. You just need to remember the wall breaks after time

okay but the proper way to play fortress floor zones is to ink a path up both outside walls in to each highest point in case you fall while then jumping between both points to thin out the mob and spawn camp sprinko dudes. my fave floor mode combo 🥲👍✨
My favorite is the battle field ascent floor. It feels the most memorable and is always a blast.
I personally think they needed to just include more of everything. There should have been Break the target stages, rainmaker stages where you have to hold the rainmaker for a certain amount of time, and could drop it. More stages with unique designs. I personally don't really like that one long ball rolling stage, but more unique layouts like that would have been rad. And most of all. more than 3 bosses. There needed to be at least 6 IMO to keep things feeling more distinct. Honestly they should have just reskinned some of the bosses from salmon run and added some of them to specific stages. A steel head floor, a steel eel floor. Scrappers and even big shot like enemies. It's a really fun mode still, but the lack of variety really kills a roguelite experience like that.
Yo vasko by the way, for reversal the big boys won't spawn if you don't go up to the second layer, I think its meant to be played by only poping the spawners with the tops, as for orbital rotation the way I find easiest is to just always be on the rails shooting the pufferfish at best it takes like two rotations for me, at worst only like 3. Parallel Canon is my favorite boss in the game because of how many cool details it has. I honestly reccomend it with as few hacks as possible because that makes it last long enough to show off its best moments.
I like the Intensifying Harmony one the most. The music is amazing, and I like fighting the clones. Even if they’re easy.
Can you do another video on the levels as multiplayer stages? I think especially the parallel canon one would be really cool if it was slightly modified and expanded

If you hit every ballon and don't fall of the rail on the easy orbit level. You pretty much complete it in a single rotation. If you mis any then it takes longer cause there is less ink to slow the enemies
The fact that danger floors was obviously not considered. It really show how good they are
I only found Between-Crosshairs on my charger run with the aimbot chip and had a vision of how hard it would be with any other weapon. I’ve never found it since.
Soaker Blockade was without a doubt the hardest stage for me. You practically have to climb up the soaker blocks and splat those stupid homing creature spawners. If you don’t take care of things with spawncamping them, you will get so overwhelmed and it becomes literally impossible. I’ve lost so many lives on that one stage alone. And somehow it’s only Hard rated.
Cruel sisyphean being S is a crime

I absolutely think its the single worst stage in the whole DLC, its tedious to say the least, no matter the pallete you aré using

depending on your build it can be the most annoying and challenging floor ever or the most boring imo.
By name my favourtite floor is definitelly Whirling-Enemies(High)_Two-Bridge. This could be a silly animation

never realized how many levels there were. i thought there were only like 12-20 varients.
my cruel sisyphean first experians was un forgettable it was the only zones floor i hadn't played and i had heard horror stories about it but the reward was really good so i chose it knwing what it would be and knowing it was a danger floor and i then procedid to beat it easily with fizzy bombs

Rotational is my absolute least favorite floor. It's so tedious to get the ball at the one at the top when you don't have a weapon that can launch it that far and the launch pads on the side of the towers don't even get it high enough

I mean you didnt cover them but the different danger modes can make some floors seem impossible, lights out is annoying on most floors, and no drone floors makes you realize how much you may depend of pearl during a run
I really like Explosion-Festival floor. Dancing around the enemies while waiting for the exploding things to recharge is really fun to me. Sisyphean sucks (eh, not bad with a good build, but dualies are pain om that floor)
17:07 it changes depending on weapon?? I thought it changed from the last difficulty floor you played. Like rigorous giving ALL enemy types and easy - normal giving normal enemies with maybe a spring here and there

With how much detail they put in the background of stages that share objectives compared to ones that are single-objectived, I'm not sure more floors would have been a good idea?
Single objective stages' background feel VERY samey and generally uninteresting. Most of them are just "memory blocks are stored here", with a lot of them just sharing a background between lower, middle and top floor except with minor variations (Black memory blocks start to appear past 10F, you can see the triangles on objects past 20F, etc)
Meanwhile, Floors with multiple objectives actually all have separate backgrounds. Sure, there may be some that use the same concept, like 2 floor types creating memory blocks, but even then, the layouts are completely different and are actually interesting to look at
It's a big difference compared to the other story modes that just had random objects floating around with no purpose other than aesthetic, the side order backgrounds actually DO tell a story and I don't think there's a way for that story to flow as well if there were more backgrounds that repeated

That’s called a skill issue
The side order maps usually feel really memorable but there is some very bland maps, F tiers Stepping Stones and Careful Aim, S tiers: Final Boss Rising ground, Cruel Sisyphean, Unstable footing, Eternally Hunted, and basically all high level floors. The bland floors would be much more tolerable if there was more variety in the amount of floors.

I honestly think you should have given soaker blockade an F. It's the single most weapon dependent stage in side order because soakers favor fast weapons (or max fire rate chips) which is just unfair in a mode like this. I think it's saved from a lot of hate because it's not very difficult with its good weapons, but being easy doesnt mean it's a good design

i personally dont think cleul syphean is that bad with my main (daulies) because i use the curling bomb to move between the zones, and it is very fast movement. all others its terrible tho bc i can barely move between them

I hate parallel canon because my first 10 runs, I got parallel canon at floor 10
I despised this Splat zone Map that’s shaped of a 8 with two far splat zones on each side of the map and Hoards of gelatin fish and 6 Sprinkler fish from top and Bottom. Worst of all if you used a Short melee or short ranged weapon is a Painful experience.

I am sorry to say but Orbit Rail being in F is just a skill issue, it aint hard at all and takes about 15 seconds in average.
If it was supposed to be hard, than yeah it would be horrible, but as you said, it is an easy stage.

Genuinely surprised there was only 1 F tier stage in the list and that was because it didn't even work. Just to show the fact that alot of the other stages were fun and unique.

Won't lie, I dislike a good 95% of all of the Side Order stages. There's a few good ones, but most are boring, tedious, or both.
