I remember that one! It was great that Mister Rogers showed kids that her "witchiness" was not who she really was but just an acting role - make-believe.🧙♀️ I read that, in reality, Margaret Hamilton was a kind, soft-spoken lady who loved animals.
What a great guy! I remember seeing him walk down the street one morning and I got the chance to talk to him! Other folks saw him and came over, we became 5 year olds again! He was as kind as you would imagine. And I was behind Mrs Rogers in the grocery line and told her that story. She smiled and said "that's my Fred." I cried. What memories. Thanks so much Jordan! 💝
Pittsburgh is such a caring city too! So many different people from many different cultures , very diverse for many, many years! And they are very caring too! Always happy to extend a helping hand!
I can't even watch the movie without crying. He was such a pure soul that the world didn't deserve him. Thank you for this video for all of us who grew up with him.
Jordan this makes me so happy! I live about 50 mins away from Pittsburgh, and I love the city so much. You can’t love Pittsburgh without loving Fred Rodgers! I remember many afternoons when I was young watching Sesame Street and the Mr. Rodgers on PBS! Fred taught us kindness and humanity for people and things, even though we may look or sound different. Above all, Mr. Rodgers taught us that with our imagination anything is possible! Sorry for my ramblings 😊❤️
I used to love to watch Mister Rogers Neighborhood. I loved all the puppets. They became friends you'd see every time the show was on. Mister Rogers took you away from whatever problems were going on. I wish we had someone like Fred Rogers now. I wonder where the Neighborhood trolley is? He always took us somewhere special. Thank you so much Jordan for bringing back a little of what was good in life. Thank you for bringing Jah along. Always nice to see him. You both stay safe and take care.
Welcome to Pittsburgh Jordan! Wish I could've met ya! Mr Rogers was my childhood and my sons! He is missed dearly...My dad met him, he was the real deal!👍We need that type of kindness in the world right now, Thank you so much Jordan! Hugs to Jah💜
Thank you so much for honoring this very special and gifted educator and humanitarian. Despite all his quirky and endearing eccentricities, Fred Rogers was WAY ahead of his time. My degrees are in early childhood education and psychology. Fred Rogers made a difference in children's lives. Too often, he was the only positive light, comfort and inspiration to children who only knew neglect and abuse. Fred Rogers once famously said, "Always look for the helpers!" Fred Rogers was one of the greatest helpers of all. His light of compassion, empathy and kindness will shine forever.
Jordan!!!! Thank you so much for bringing us with you to this wonderful museum! Mr. Rogers was & always will be one of my heroes! I was brought yo tears. Your obvious love & respect for him showed through your narrative! This is definitely my FAVORITE video & is now saved!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Jordan, you are amazing. Back to back you have given us vlogs about two of the most beloved & influential people in PBS history, #BobRoss & #Mr.Rogers. These 2 wonderful human beings gave us so much and their work and their advices will be with us forever. We were blessed to have had them in our lives. Thank you Jordan the Lion. Bless you & Jah! ☝🙏🏼
Couldnt have said it better myself ..oh jordan & jah how i hope life provides more sweet lemon aid than sour lemons. And healthy treats for the great Jahster. Oh when i graduated in 97 i had a friend give me life's principal's to live by, inspired by The magnificent Mr. Rogers. Bless you and your great buddy jah. 👱♀️ jen'e s.
Hi Jordan, ah, this vlog just exudes warmth, kindness and happiness. How lovely that his mother knitted his sweaters for the show, it makes it even more wholesome. I always think that having the person's clothes is as near as you can get to having the person there with you. What a beautiful place for the statue. Great Vlog Jordan.
Big fan of Mr Rogers also. Grew up watching him. He was the best. Seeing the set from the show broke back a lot of happy memories. Thank you.Jordan. That’s a wonderful statue of him.
I absolutely LOVED Mr. Rogers growing up! This would be my dream to go and visit! If I could give you a great big hug to say, Thank you so much for sharing! I miss him! And thank you so much for being " my neighbor"!
I can remember watching Mr. Roger's when I was a child. I was 5 years old in 1975 and my kindergarten teacher would have us watch it in class as well. We would eat lunch, have recess, and then watch. She always turned it into a lesson. It was wonderful to have my son and my step children watch it as they grew up as well. When he passed the world lost a true friend to the children of the world.
Jordan - The shot of your little kid smile from ear to ear was everything. It was the whole point of Mr. Rogers and his show. He was such a loving and gentle spirit and he was in this earth for much too short a time. A wonderful gem of a video. Thank you for making this part of the museum, a stand alone video. Thank you so kindly Jordan. Have a lovely day. Blessings-Judith 🎵🎭
Until today, I think my favorite VLOG has been the Groundhog Day one. But, Mr. Rogers?! Be still my heart! I’m afraid my inner 4 year old is older than yours, but the opening theme song, Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, still thrills me. And today, I considered how the closing song, It’s Such a Good Feeling, still evokes such feelings of melancholy because of the “goodbye.” Thanks for the VLOG, Jordan. And my inner 4 year old really wants a trolley!!!!
Such a great vlog! You did a wonderful job on this. Fred Rogers was a great man who lived his beliefs and spent his life making children feel good about themselves. Mr. Rogers you are truly missed! Thank you Jordan for doing this video.
Well now Jordan 🇯🇴, you really can tell that you watched Mr. Rodgers every day! You really exude the things he talked about on his shows, kindness towards each other and compassion for everyone, Fred would have enjoyed meeting you ☺ have snap hap .. happy day!
Oh Jordan! Thank you so much for doing this video!!! It brought tears to my eyes! Mr Roger's is a huge part of my childhood. There isn't another person like him in the world. Very touching vlog. Thank you!!💞🤗
Thank for sharing mr rogers memories he was a god sent loved watching him with my two daughters. May he rest in peace. Gone too soon. Thank you to the rogers family aswell. My prayers to you all.
Between him and me dress up these were my two favorite Caucasian grandpas in my head omg I loved this show I remember watching every single morning one taught me to be kind to others and always wake up with a smile the other taught me how to draw and I still can’t lol won’t u be my neighborrrrr two calming souls and beautiful voices thank u for sharing this 😍😍💜💕🙏🏽
I only saw his show a few times ,but this was a lovely tribute & I really loved his sculpture. This is by far this best facial depiction of his smile & eyes I have ever seen on a sculpture. No wonder why he was Mr.Rodgers favorite sculpture. Great photography on all your city scapes & all the little details showing the flowers makes your the best Jordan . So happy you are doing all the new stuff on the East side of the country. It’s amazing how much you can travel ,even with Covid out there ,stay safe my friend.
Thank you so much for showing this to us, Mr Rogers was a big part of my life as a child, as he was for a lot of people, and the best part of the show was going to "Make Believe" !!! Seeing those puppets again brings a tear to my eye.
I grew up watching him. He was so relaxing and calm to me. Kids need these shows now to chill out and relax. I lived two hours north of PITTSBURGH for 7 years and had no idea that museum was there. Back on the east side of PA again where I was raised.
I hear you, I just made the comment about living 15 min away from that museum and didn't realize it was so well done. I def have to make my way down there. I grew up NE of Town in Kittanning.
Jordan, this will blow your mind! In the early 90's I worked at the Children's Museum in the North Side before the History Center was built. I was a tour guide and got to stand IN The Land and tell the kids about it. I met him a few times when I was a kid. I haven't lived in Pittsburgh for 16 years so its nice to see it. I can't believe you'd never been there before! Thanks man. Also Don Brockket is in Flecth! While I don't miss living there it's still good to see it. Just seeing the Fort Pitt Tunnels and the bridges gave me massive flashbacks! I'm glad you finally got there! There's no way I can ever fully get away from the Burgh due to every restaurant in the country having Heinz Ketchup!
Aww awesome and jah is so lucky to come along to all your road trips thanks for the reminder of an awesome Mr Rogers ☺️💝 he was my favorite tv show I loved to watched growing up besides Arthur on pbs
I'm so glad I got to grow up watching this show, as a little kid in the early 90's probably near the tail end of his run, I aspire to be more of a man like him and if I ever have kids, I plan on showing them reruns.
Wow! I wishe there were more Mr. Rogers in this world. He accepted EVERYONE and Loved them Black, White, Gay Straight and everything else! He was truly an amazing soul! I have always wanted to see Pennsylvania. The Liberty Bell all of it. Oh and that giant Heinz Ketchup bottle!! Cant wait til you vlog other parts of that museum. Peace and Love Jordan!
My kids and grandkids watched him. Such a wonderful man, with a very clam specking voice and very good teaching good values. Thank God for people like him. Not to many around.
I saw the title and was SO happy to see that you did a Mr. Rogers Vlog. I knew you would have to since you were in PA, 😂 I always loved Mr: Rogers, and anything to do with him makes you want to be a better person :) He encouraged kindness and love in such a special and gentle way. He was just true and authentic at all times, and you just knew that his heart was all about children and their well-being - a true pioneer, even speaking about mental health when it was not really spoken about.
@@jeneswanson463 Awwww thank you. We all can only hope to inspire or encourage in any way, and we never know exactly how that it going to look but it’s well worth it. Mr. Rogers was such an amazing man.
My dad’s family was originally from Pittsburgh and in April of 2021, over the Easter weekend, I came to visit my cousin. It was the first time in Pittsburgh since the early 90s. It’s a wonderful and beautiful city!
I really enjoy your positive enthusiasm when telling stories about your blog topics. I have researched more about people that were unknown to me all because of you. Thank you Jordan for your unique style of attitude that is wonderfully family friendly. 😘
Thanks for the tour of the Mr. Rogers set, it was very interesting. The big statue at the end of your blog was amazing. So glad Mr. Jah could be with you on your adventures . . Have a fun day
Wow!! This gave us Chills watching this Vlog! What a beautiful soul & human being Mr Rodgers was. He was also a huge part of our childhood as well! Loved this Vlog❤️❤️
Mr Roger is a national treasure. He is what generation of families needed. To the unlike people, I think you need to watch Mr Roger's neighbor a lot. He taught it was okay to be you. This video is a great one. Very educational and enjoyable. Always, thank you.
Thanks for the trip Jordan! It was great! I went there 2 years ago, but I didn't see the clothing exhibit so that was new to me. There are a few more stops on the "Mister Rogers Experience Tour" as I call it that maybe you can hit next time. In Pittsburgh, The Children's Museum of Pittsburgh has some more of his puppets, and you can also visit the outside of WQED where he taped the show. In his hometown of Latrobe, PA (about an hour away) there is a really nice statue of him, his childhood home, his childhood church, his grave and St. Vincent's College where you will find not only the Trolley, but Daniel's Clock, 6 more puppets, 4 sweaters, a pair of sneakers, and much, much more. Thanks again!
I loved Dino Fred Rodger's. I liked when he'd have kids with disabilities on his show and how he would ask questions to make us understand they were still regular kids at the end of the day.
He was one of a kind..there hasn't been anyone like him since. I saw that meeting with the senator & Mr. Rodgers was impressive. I was surprised Tom Hanks was related to him (6th cousin).
It's a shame kids don't get this kind of wholesome and innocent programing today. Everything now is loud, rude, vulgar, classless and tasteless. No wonder we have so many crazy people in the world today.
Now you’re very close to where I live!!! I am about 40 mins. away from Pittsburgh. I watched Mr. Rogers when I was a toddler, but after that I thought it was corny & tacky. To me, it was all so..fake, I guess. But Fred Rogers was an awfully great man, and all the kids who watched him. ♥️
Thank you Jordan for this wonderful video! Love Mr Rogers ❤️ . You and he have some things in common!!! Thank you for adding joy to our lives with your amazing videos ❤️ !!!
Omg just loved this .. took me back to my childhood.. about three years ago Twitch celebrated his 90th birthday by doing a marathon of Mr. Rogers and Betty aka Lady Aberlin came into the chat and spoke to everyone she is such a lovely lady... Your Bob Ross Vlog was also just mind blowing and such a excitement to watch ..You know I find myself occasionally going and watching there non-stop Bob Ross Shows.. Thanks for hard work of some great vlogs please be safe..
When I was growing up in the 70's, Mr. Rogers Neighborhood was one of my go to shows along with Zoom. He was such an authentic human being and taught me so much. I always enjoyed watching Picture Picture and when he would visit parts of the neighborhood. And by the way, when you showed the street sign for William Penn, I immediately thought of the 60's group William Penn IV from San Carlos, CA who released only one single-"Swami" back in November of 1966. I had no idea that William Penn was a real person I just thought it was a name of a band.
Love you exploring/vlogging the northeast. I've never been up that way but hope to someday. Mister Rogers speech to the Senate is inspiring and everyone should see and hear that.
Growing up in PA, and transplanted in AZ 39 years ago now... Mr. Roger's taught EVERYONE to be thoughtful, non-biased people, which I, as my own family has done. We DON'T see color. Except today, we are now "racist"... WHAT in the Hell?? What a horrible time to live in now... 😔 Thank you, Jordan, for attempting to prove we are ALL ONE nation. TRULY, not a "racist" country. ❤
That Fort Pitt Tunnel is actually where an infamous scene in The Perks of Being a Wallflower was filmed! One of my favorite movies ever. Thanks for the vlogs, Jordan! Lovin it!
I was a big of mr Rogers neighborhood when I was a kid I loved how he would do field trips on the show and the neighborhood of make believe plus I don’t remember the year it was when they wore talking about jobs but Fred told us to a farm to see where are food comes from and he gave us a tour of his play house set what a kind and caring man miss him a lot
Won't you be my neighbour! I loved Mister Rodgers he taught me so much as a kid I use to have his records and listen to them all the time he was truly a wonderful, kind and generous person!
When I was a kid back around 87ish, I was with my parents at a flea market in SWPA. It was a busy day and I can remember shuffling through the crowd. I bumped into a guy and looked way up to see his face and it was Chef Brocket! From TV! I just stood there slack jawed with a look of awe at seeing my 1st celebrity. He noticed me recognize him, smiled at me, and continued on. I imagine he got that a lot. I never said anything to him nor he to me, but we shared a tiny moment in time that day that I will always remember and cherish because of the randomness of it.
What a kind, gentle soul he was. We were so blessed to have him in our lives. I hope you bought the Trolley, such an important part of most of ours growing up! Thank you for a fine vlog!!! 🌼

Sure it is. They have reruns every day on PBS
The most patient man who ever lived , who we miss, and need today. He was good people. Thanks Jordan.
I loved that show when I was a kid. But, as an adult I loved him even more. An amazing man, with an amazing heart.

How wonderful. Truly a piece of my childhood. Thank you for letting me come along for the tour.
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Mr Roger is a national treasure. He is what generation of families needed. To the unlike people, I think you need to watch Mr Roger's neighbor a lot. He taught it was okay to be you. This video is a great one. Very educational and enjoyable. Always, thank you.
Agreed
I'm around same age, I got the trolley too. I put it under my Christmas tree
This is fantastic! Now I have to go to Pittsburgh!
Saw movie very well done we need more mr Rogers in world thanks Jordan
I loved Dino Fred Rodger's.
I liked when he'd have kids with disabilities on his show and how he would ask questions to make us understand they were still regular kids at the end of the day.
You Rock Jordan 🤩 Thank you very much for sharing this trip back to our childhood. The World sure needs Mr. Rogers now. Safe travels.
He was one of a kind..there hasn't been anyone like him since. I saw that meeting with the senator & Mr. Rodgers was impressive. I was surprised Tom Hanks was related to him (6th cousin).
Wonderful for all at 62 I loved Mr Rogers ❣️Thanks Jordan
Glad you enjoyed it
Three of my top shows in my early childhood: Sesame Street, Captain Kangaroo, and Mr. Roger's Neighborhood.
Amazing man mr Rodgers was
I loved watching Mr Rodgers neighborhood as a kid growing up in the late 80s and in the 90s
I just bought one of those trolleys thanks to your vlog! Haha! I couldn't resist!
Thank you Jordan for this wonderful video! Love Mr Rogers ❤️ . You and he have some things in common!!! Thank you for adding joy to our lives with your amazing videos ❤️ !!!
EXCELLENT !!!JORDAN THAnK YOU!!!!!!!
OHMYWORD!! This was so much fun to watch! Thank you Jordan 🥰
Mister Rodgers was my favorite when I was growing up! I loved him
Omg just loved this .. took me back to my childhood.. about three years ago Twitch celebrated his 90th birthday by doing a marathon of Mr.
Thank you Jordan for showing fans the museum love vlogs like these that teaches memories and mr Rodgers taught us so much too
Love you exploring/vlogging the northeast. I've never been up that way but hope to someday. Mister Rogers speech to the Senate is inspiring and everyone should see and hear that.
Thankyou for making it real again💕
Ok this is on my bucket list now thank you so much for this vlog Jordan
Growing up in PA, and transplanted in AZ 39 years ago now... Mr. Roger's taught EVERYONE to be thoughtful, non-biased people, which I, as my own family has done. We DON'T see color. Except today, we are now "racist"... WHAT in the Hell?? What a horrible time to live in now... 😔 Thank you, Jordan, for attempting to prove we are ALL ONE nation. TRULY, not a "racist" country. ❤
I love your vlogs they're like a comforting break from reality.
That Fort Pitt Tunnel is actually where an infamous scene in The Perks of Being a Wallflower was filmed! One of my favorite movies ever. Thanks for the vlogs, Jordan! Lovin it!
I love Mr. Roger's! He was one of those afternoon show routines. Very special guy!
Great video Jordan ! I grew up with Mr. Rogers too. Also welcome to our neighborhood, I live about 35 miles from the burgh.
Boy that brought me back in time . I loved when he took us to the museums I loved the crayon one . Thank you Jordan 💙
