  • On March 11, 2023, I returned to Page to run the Antelope Canyon 100 Miler, hoping to avenge my DNF at this same race in 2022. The weather was awful- lots of rain, which turned the final 60 miles of the trail into a muddy slop fest. After a brutal night, I finally crossed the finish line for my third 100 mile finish. Only 26 people finished out of 79 who started, and I ended up in 13th place. Kudos to everyone who was battling out there- it was a tough one!

You and Wes have the best running videos by far. Thank you so much for making and sharing them!

I don’t think my videos hold a candle to Wes Plate’s, but thank you for the kind words! I’m glad you enjoy them 😁

Congrats! I loved Antelope Canyon 100 last year...for 40 miles. The last 60 were brutal - we also had like 60-70% DNF, it was insane

Yep, I was one of the DNFs last year haha. Came back for revenge this year! Tough race.

Hi! I was running with you and climbing those ladders after that ridiculous wait. Good times! Thanks for filming! Great job too!

Wow! You are a machine!!! One of these days, it'd be fun to chat about running these ultra long races/distances. Wes Plate is a great guy too! I've had the opportunity to talk with him a bit.

Hah, thanks… I’d be happy to chat about the longer stuff anytime! You’re still a much stronger runner than I am, but it starts becoming a different beast once you start going beyond 50k. Different strategies, different nutrition… just different!

Congratulations! I came from Oklahoma to run the 55 and prepared by watching your previous videos. You do a great job capturing and explaining everything. I will also tell you that next time if there’s a line for ladders make sure and tell them you’re doing the 100. We sent them all to the front of the line because we knew the time limits could be an issue.

Thanks! Congrats as well on the 55k. I thought about doing that to skip in front of the line, but didn't want to seem rude. The cutoffs are definitely more strict for the 100 than the other distances though, so good on you guys for understanding!

Surfing on the mud is so accurate 🏄‍♂️ 😅 Congratulations on your finish! I did the 55k and can't imagine doing more loops on those muddy trails

Great job capturing this race! We passed each other multiple times during the night loops. What an epic race this year with the conditions; just happy to have finished.
