Rod Serling’s “ Twilight Zone’ was very good at that. It dealt with Racism, bigotry, genocide, and xenophobia and more ! All while still in a Fantasy and SciFi setting! A true classic series !
I liked how scifi then posed moral and social questions without shoving it down your throat- so that you could think for yourself and arrive at your OWN conclusions.
The combination of Tom Baker and Douglas Adams was the absolute best of Doctor Who.I believe it was Adam's who make Tom into the legend that he is.That being said, all the doctors were great, but I don't believe that Sylvester McCoy was the best choice. My favorite story? Gotta say The Talons of Weng Chiang, great story, even better performance. Also every story with Sarah Jane.
Remember the Good 'Ol days when the Sci/Fi Channel (& I do mean SCI/FI!!!) Showed stuff like this... rather than MARATHONS of garbage no fans want to watch! (Along with 87 commercial breaks an hour promoting UPCOMING garbage they are going to air, that no fans want to watch!)
It was a show that only ran from 78 to 79 that never really gained any popularity. Hard to find these days but there was a remake called 'Project Blue Book' that started in 2019 on History about the same topic. Based on a real division of the air force back then.
I remember seeing parts of UFO on Saturday early afternoons on WTAF channel 29 in Philly. This was probably the early 80s, in syndication. Kind of like seeing bits of the original Avengers, the BBC show.
@@3Brew the original was based on actual cases. US air force officers investigated a case and tried to determine if the sighting was explained or unexplained. The history channel show is a mish mash of conspiracy theories, melodramatic stories and the assumption that all government agents are evil. In other words pure trash. I would prefer an update of the original. Truth is always more interesting than fiction.
OK. The ORIGINAL Outer Limits was fantastic! The opening can never be duplicated, EVER! The 1995 version, including the opening, was an insult to the original and all who were involved with it an loved it. The reboot, as are all reboots, was dog twaddle! Out of them all, Tom Baker was the best Dr. Who, bar none! I'm sorry to say that this video was not up to the standards established in the last one. Of course, since the 80s, other than Star Trek Next Gen, there wasn't too much to crow about. Having made that statement there is one show from the 90s that, in my opinion, blew everything else away. That was Babylon 5! If you can find some way to watch it now, you will discover that much of what was presented in it is happening now. Example, the idea of "The Ministry of Truth" which was just suggested by the current regime that has successfully completed it coup d'eta in America! Now, all you have for entertainment is politically correct garbage and propaganda!
i noticed that too. especially troubling since the original series was truly groundbreaking, where the other two, while not bad, weren't really breaking much new ground at all.
Compared to the original early thoughtfully filmed Star Trek and The Outer Limits the terribly cheap picture quality of the later creations were not even fit to have the same titles.
I know there's the old time outer limits but this one your showing is 90s version so why you got it here it's not a 80s and it's not 70s or 60s or 50s hmm🤔 y
It was Sci-fi at the time and many of the things Kit could do still isn't. And it always will be. We don't remove it from Sci-fi because it comes true.
@@danielg335 I loved the original Outer Limits. Truly SciFi while Twilight Zone was sometimes SciFi, sometimes fantasy. The Outer Limits reboot just wasn't that good, sometimes injecting modern politics where it didn't belong.

Hypermonetization and "intellectual property" will be the death of us all.
Those bastards. Those were the best 70's SciFi shows at the time!
Well, there's always Greatest American Hero.

Volume !!!, The Invaders 66-67 with Roy Thinnes. Best SciFi Ever!
Star Trek TNG- How does one go about stealing a Dyson sphere? Asking for a friend.
Answers easy , you get scotty
You may need Scottys help with that
Scotty would find a way. I've been thinking, it would have to be modular so you would have to unclamp the plates and resemble them elsewhere.
TOM BAKER RULED AS THE DOCTOR. The BEST SHOW TO DEAL WITH UFO'S WAS THE X FILES.
How on earth did they get away with a naked backside on the opening credits in the 60s?

voyage to the bottom of the sea
The Doctor Who sequence is using good footage but the music is from the 2000/2010 series.
Dr. Who was rebooted in 2005 and is still ongoing...
Not for long with the 13th doctor

You show Star Trek TNG but not the origin series?
The original series was covered in volume 1.

No
Yes it was Dyson hence the name

The Outer Limits opening and scenes are from the remake. To call Knight Rider sci-fi is a stretch.
