The comments, that I see here, are helps to understand, that unless a man is born again, he cannot SEE the truth. Blind people do not see, and dead people, do not repent and believe.
Agreed - - a fuller view is that an unregenerate heart suppresses the truth in unrighteousness. Men love darkness and will not come to the light unless the Father draws them.
gullible people exist and are duped every day. There is insurmountable evidence for this fact. People claiming to profess knowledge and existence of a particular God date back centuries and span countless gods and societies. What makes you so certain that your God is also not the product of man made origins, just as all the other man made religions have been?
@@Jared__Bowden There is insurmountable evidence that atheists refuse to hear their critics and simply troll UA-cam to rant against Christians. We are sponsoring a debate at the University of Utah on 10/3 with two atheists if you'd like to actually engage in a real dialogue.
@@ancientpathstv "Insurmountable Evidence" that an entire group of people that share the term "Atheist" are unwilling to hear critiques against their views? That sounds an awful lot like confirmation bias on your part. There's plenty of content online of Atheists debating Christians. So, your "insurmountable evidence" is easily debunked as merely wishful thinking. As for the invite to the U of U, pre-family life I would have been there in a heartbeat, but time with my kids is more important to me than hearing yet another debate on religion, of which I've watched countless debates to the point where they all start to sound redundant. Atheists posit that there is no evidence for any particular god, Theists try to demonstrate there is by referring to the bible or selective interpretation of natural events that they believe to be in favor of their claims, and eventually are widdled down to emotional reasoning and "well you just have to have faith". If there's a video of the debate on 10/3 I'd be more than happy to watch it when posted.
@@Jared__Bowden I was using "insurmountable evidence" in much the same way you did. I did not say that all atheists are trolling, but it's clear that there is a tendency to "group think" for many. The video of the debate should be on this channel a few weeks after the event. I really encourage you to watch the video on which you've been commenting in the meantime.
Does anyone know the origins or reasons for gender roles in entire countries? France, Germany = The Father Land. Russia = The Mother Land. Pagan, philosophical or what.
Good video, but at 27:11 you should keep following the description of what is moving the car drilling down into quantum physics. Science can not tell us how the car is ultimately moving or what matter even is. Science can only describe what matter does and how it can be manipulated. We as western Christians need to revisit the concept of fundamental energy back out of matter and attribute it to God alone. Paul declares energy (eternal ability to do work) is evidence of God working in creation. Romans 1:20 "His Eternal power and divine nature clearly perceived in creation." That is why we witness a dead initial creation in genesis, and dead created Adam. Eternal energy and life is Gods attribute, energy is not equal to matter, rather matter contains energy, they are separate things. Said another way, with out God nothing moves, or is alive. Christian cosmology is exactly opposite of secular. Secular cosmology starts with in actual infinite substance containing all the energy in the universe called the singularity. Secular cosmology progresses from light to dark, energetic to entropy. Christian cosmology is opposite; it starts with Dark, Void Chaos then progresses towards light, fullness, Law as God applies more power into the universe.
Most people unthinkingly accept the false premise that the opposing categories are religion and atheism. The actual categories are true religion (historical biblical Christianity) and false religions (including atheism). Atheism and other false religions produce oppression, abuse, perversion, cruelty. Biblical Christianity has produced freedom, charity, protection of and respect for women and children, care for the sick and elderly, etc. It's ridiculous to claim that Christianity is barbaric simply because islam is barbaric; there's no connection. There *is* a close connection between atheism and mohammedanism-- And both are oppressive because they oppose God and His law, and reject His Son and the Gospel. Those who reject God can't help but lie about the facts of history; they have to maintain their delusion.
Those of us who believe in Jesus Christ are obligated to share the salvation and comfort that comes from such faith. It is free gift from God and can be accepted or rejected, he would have it no other way.
In atheism you cannot account for unchanging laws of logic or objective truth and morality. The rejection of the truth of God is utter folly. Why do people reject God? Because we do not want to be accountable to His rule and reign over our lives. God must first change our hearts through the hearing of the gospel message: that Jesus Christ, the God-man, came into the world to save sinners. When our rebellious hearts are changed then we will acknowledge the truth of God and willingly submit our lives to King Jesus. Friends, repent and believe the gospel!
I'd like to point out that that there have been all sorts of different religions throughout human history and many of them including christianity come in many different forms so even if there is a higher power that created the universe the chances of it being the one you pray to is so small that you might as well not even try and that is a big reason why I am a atheist. Also your argument that it's impossible for something to be created from nothing would also disprove the existence of any god because at some point the god would have had to be created out of nothing in order to create the universe.
@@ancientpathstv I watched the first 20 minutes of it and I was thinking about saying something to defend atheism but then I realized that anyone who would watch this video has probably already heard every argument that defends atheism I could think of so instead I decided to counter attack by presenting a reason why believers in religion are probably wrong.
@@kaic1649 Ranting against videos you refuse to watch is just trolling. If you were actually confident in your position, you could engage the other side's arguments. We did.
Incredible how Dawkins calls faith 'evil' when he doesn't believe in an ultimate plumb line which determines what good and evil are, namely God. And they think theists are ignorant.
Theists are ignorant because they need an invisible external being to tell them what is right and what is wrong. They are incapable of figuring that out themselves. That’s why religions and their millions of gods are so dangerous, no one agrees on anything. Christianity alone has more than 2,000 different denominations. The god of the bible says one thing. The god of the islam says another thing. Krishna, another, Ganesha, Bramah, Kali etc., another. And that’s how theists all around the world fight each other over whose god is the real one, while they threaten atheists with hell and brimstone depicted in each of the different books they believe holy. I don’t fear your christian hell the same way you don’t fear the Muslim hell or the Hindu hell. There are no gods. Not one. None.
@@schweitzerFTA Theists don't 'need' an 'invisible external being' to give them morals, we have a conscience (meaning 'with knowledge' (which is humorous since you call the theist ignorant), knowing right and wrong AND that there is a thing as right and wrong/good and evil) _precisely because_ God exists and is the plumb line for it. Without god there is no right or wrong, good or evil. The atheist borrows from the theistic worldview everyday by acknowledging and using these facts. From an atheistic/evolutionary standpoint, there is and should be no such thing as good and evil since we are all just fizzing molecules surviving and dying with nothing afterward, yet the atheist knows right and wrong and has a conscience. You've expectantly turned an argument about theism into 'which god is the right one', which is a completely separate issue.

Great video, but the part about homosexuality, transexualism (not transvestitism) is erroneous. Homosexuality is not a disorder because of the vast amount of evidence proving it to be a natural mechanism in nearly all species. There is a chromosomal and hormonal disposition regarding homosexuality. The same goes for transexualism. It doesn't take a miracle to know this, this is well established.
How can you be deluded, or living an illusion for not believing something. I mean honestly not believing. The only illusion is believing, not knowing is not a illusion, believing you know is.
If the new atheists were simple non-believers than your argument would have merit. However, they make positive unsubstantiated claims such as nothing can exist but as a result of material law. The Universe can and has created itself. All life is decended from a common single-celled ancestor.
"Religion glorifies the dogma of a despotic, mythical God. Atheism ennobles the interests of free and progressive Man. Religion is superstition. Atheism is sanity. Religion is medieval. Atheism is modern." -- Emanuel Haldeman-Julius

@@ancientpathstv I don't fear the truth. Religion, however, does. History has shown that believers have been at the forefront of many acts of anti-intellectualism, anti-science and suppression of knowledge. Remember Galileo, the dark ages and modern day anti-evolution quacks? I find it rather ironic that a Christian would call an Atheist a cultist, but that is the sort of childish "I-know-you-are-but-but-what-am-I?" projection I'd expect from religion.
This was an interesting video, I had never heard of the cult of reason before I'll have to look into it. There is a point at the end that I take issue with. After correctly identifying Dawkins morality as bankrupt for it's support of infanticide, cannibalism and the like. You claim that we cannot judge the morality of God. You assert that a god would be moral and just if he cast every liar to the eternal flame. Such a position is ludicrous, God is a just and loving God. This does not square with a being who would inflict endless torment on a rudementary being such as myself who told a lie out of fear or to spare the feelings of a loved one. Even if I had told a lie out of malice it would not be worthy of an hour let alone an eternity of torment I readily admit that I am not worthy of heaven, but any god that found me worthy of hell could be nothing but a heartless and evil monster worthy of disdain and rebellion rather than worship. The good news is that the true God, the God of the Bible, the God of Abraham and Jacob, the Creator of the Universe. Is not a god of torture but a God of Love who causes the rain to fall in the wicked as well as the righteous.
You're not understanding the absolute holiness, purity, power and majesty of God. And you're not grasping the absolute depravity and wickedness of man. You're starting with man and judging God. But it doesn't work that way. God created us and will judge us based on His perfect justice. How can we, who were created by Him, ever fathom the thought that we are in a position to judge Him?
@Thomas Gissler I am not interjecting my own standard of morality but God's. I am judging your characature of the divine vs God's own standard. "But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;" Matthew 5:44 God shows us what He means by love in the parable of the Good Samaritan. See Luke 10:25-37

Atheism is about science. It is not anti-god but more-so pro logistics and critical thinking. You literally cannot disagree with a law of the universe, but you can refuse to accept it. Religion can be explained using science, but, can science be explained using religion?
Jason Kehoe - your assertion that science comes from god lacks a very important t detail... evidence. Science exists as a man made process to which things can be proven to a high degree of certainty after applying repeatable test after repeatable test until to the point where the testing produces the same result again and again. No god can even make it through the first round of scientific scrutiny and testing because no sufficient evidence has been presented that would allow further testing. Contrary evidence is about the closest you will find. Contrary evidence being that numerous other faiths profess a belief and faith in a deity, using similar language and similar emotional based rationale as all religions do. There’s plenty of evidence for man made gods dating back to early humans. There has yet to be sufficient evidence to prove any particular god. Asserting knowledge of a god, which you further asserted created science, is a baseless, unprovable claim because you cannot prove the existence of the god that you claim created science. You don’t get to inject a figment of your imagination in front of the timeline of human existence and invention of science and assert - without evidence - that this god of yours did it

Proofs have nothing to do with it. Proof is a math thing. Arguments do matter, although I find many theists do not offer arguments. They offer appeals to faith and personal revelation. The arguments that are occasionally provided are demonstrably false or fallacious at worst and unconvincing to most people who don’t already believe at best.
-“the position of believers is not less favorable than that of unbelievers.“
I would say it is quite less favorable. We have about as much evidence for God as we do for Bigfoot, maybe even less. There seems to be a huge disconnect in standards between peoples’ theological beliefs and the more mundane beliefs they have about what’s happening in their day to day lives.
-“God is sufficiently knowable to those who seek him and also sufficiently hidden to those who run away from him.”
How do you explain apostasy? How do you explain people who have genuinely searched, who have hit their knees and asked for answers, yet still cannot find good reasons to believe?

Dear atheist - 'probably' doesn't cut it. You need to be absolutely certain, eternity is a long time!

Romans 1:20 "His Eternal power and divine nature clearly perceived in creation."
That is why we witness a dead initial creation in genesis, and dead created Adam.
Excellent!
Way too much " magic Kool aid" scary to think this woman is walking around in society
Those of us who believe in Jesus Christ are obligated to share the salvation and comfort that comes from such faith. It is free gift from God and can be accepted or rejected, he would have it no other way.
That's because there is no other way.. CHRIST is the way,the truth and the life
No man cometh to the Father, except through Christ.
Well done
I'd like to point out that that there have been all sorts of different religions throughout human history and many of them including christianity come in many different forms so even if there is a higher power that created the universe the chances of it being the one you pray to is so small that you might as well not even try and that is a big reason why I am a atheist. Also your argument that it's impossible for something to be created from nothing would also disprove the existence of any god because at some point the god would have had to be created out of nothing in order to create the universe.

Did you watch any of the video before making your comments? You demonstrate no inkling of its content.
