You will grip as tightly to your understanding as a Hindu grips tightly to his idols. Lerian V True but some don’t truly know God and want to but may not have enough knowledge to know how God is long suffering, patient, and just good and ready to forgive. Some have done a lot of wicked things or associated with them and thinks they have gone too far. I could relate earlier in life but now I know God and understand more of His grace and mercy I never knew then.
I have always told my children their whole lives since they were small, that this life in NOT ABOUT YOU and your desires. It never has been and it never will be. It is about Jesus our creator and his divine plan of salvation and grace for all human beings. Just try to get any millennial from the "selfie" age to buy that. Sooooo difficult, but entirely possible. Both of my children are still beautiful works in progress, but they have come so far. It has been a long hard road but so worth it. Now in their late 20's their eyes and ears are opening more and more everyday. There seems to be some sort of "quickening" going on at this time on our planet and I do not believe that is an accident. Jesus is alive and his gospel is truth. I wish that everyone in this whole world could know and understand his great love for us and I pray for all who read his words to understand that. God Bless all....❤️

We are part of it but it involves heavenly hosts who witnessed the birth, life ministry, death, resurrection, then ascension of the only begotten Son of God. Why does that matter... because He took the keys to the bottomless pit away from Satan & many received back their dead relatives that day. They were now able to enter into paradise with the Messiah just like one of the two thieves on the cross who repented of his sins & received Christ's ministry while the other thief cursed, mocked, rejected & blasphemed God. I've pointed out to more than 1 Mormon that the Jesus of Mormonism is a created being, the brother of satan. The Bible says specifically the opposite. Jesus is God, and eternal being. NOTHING that was created was created outside of Jesus. Therefore, he can't be created. He can't be Satans brother. The Jesus of Mormonism is someone with they are calling Jesus, but is not the same Jesus of the Bible. Also, Mormonism teaches that you are "saved by grace AFTER all you can do"... Do what you can, and Jesus will make up the rest. Completely the opposite of what the Bible teaches. The Bible specifically says "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." I also noticed debating with these people that I would provide a scripture, they would provide a writing by Joseph Smith. They almost never appealed to scripture. Seems odd that they would consider themselves Christians, but would never quote the Bible to support their doctrine. Anyway, I'm so thankful you got out. Stay in God's actual Word. Arm yourself with the knowledge an wisdom of scripture and you may be able save many people like yourself that haven't seen the Truth yet. Congrats and God bless!

My old church used to put the preacher on its posts and quoted him and not Jesus. There was no bible study there either. It was like going to a concert every weekend. I have been without a church since then.

We are not saved by works, but if you are saved you Will do works, but if your not saved works can not save you.... So are you saying you don't have to repent, from your sins, that you can and will continue in sin? It is kinda odd that they finally made this movie, I was telling my relatives this 20 years ago. I used to drive them crazy asking for scriptures to prove what they were teaching and believing in. They ran from one false teaching to the next , the faith movement, the positive confession movement, name it and claim it. I got one of their pastors so mad by giving scriptures to prove what they believed was false, the pastor got behind the pulpit a few minutes later and said NOT EVERYTHING IN THE BIBLE IS TRUE. I was raised Christian all my life. Although my parents were strong in faith, I did it out of fear. Many things happened to me, my mom died and I fell into sexual sin. Paul is a truly blessed teacher. He explains biblical concepts so well. A refreshing movie. Makes me love Jesus more and more. I'm 62 years old. I know salvation is faith alone in grace alone by what Jesus did for us on the cross. I've known that for years. However, films like this are needed as a continual reminder of this fact. I was brought to tears on a number of occasions. It's easy even as a gospel believing Christian to slip into a works based relationship with God. That is a dead end. Instead admit all are sinners and thank God for sending his son Jesus to die for us. You will feel the weight lifted off and genuine good works will follow. Thank you Jesus ❤

Are you saying that the scripture in a different language is more infallible than the scripture in our own? By that same stretch of logic, wouldn't that translation you're using also be less infallible than a Greek and Hebrew Bible? Apologies while I go on a little bit of a rant here. The meanings of the words are more important than preserving old English (which is not modern English). Considering language evolves and the meanings of words, the translations (and chosen words) should also change to reflect the truth of the Word clearly to its listeners. There's a reason we don't require everyone to learn Greek and Hebrew first in order to read the Word. It should be understandable to them and is still infallible despite a language change. All that to say, I'm sure your pastor has good things to say. While he may have identified some issues in our modern understanding or some failures along the way, based on what I saw from your links, those are not salvific issues. It's crucial to distinguish between theological issues that could cost salvation and those that don't. 1 Corinthians 13 says we know in part and prophecy in part.

It amazes me how i took verses from the bible out of context to intertwine myself into it. I am so guilty of that, missing the point that the bible isn't about me but about He who saves us. Such an eye opening documentary.
So sorry to hear that. That's why it is so important to be guided by God to the right church, where the pastor is Jesus-centered, knows that God loves unconditionally, and preaches/teaches continually on Jesus and His work on the cross, and God's everlasting, unchanging love for His children. It took me over ten years of going to church, zealously serving at that, to realize that I never knew the gospel because I never knew the reality of sin (which means that I never knew the true meaning of repentance or forgiveness or atonement). I never knew that I was a sinner at the core (by identity, before Christ) until morality failed me. For years I thought that I was "safe" and "saved" and a "good Christian" because I was "doing good things" but no, I was being deceived and deceiving myself. But the gracious God shone His light upon me and exposed all the darkness within me. From there it was a process accepting the gospel and receiving forgiveness by the washing of sins with the blood of Christ, but thank God I was exposed because that was the first step to repentance -- realizing what a wretched sinner I am and that I need a Savior (and Lord). Thank you for this film. I hope that it transforms many self-righteous and self-proclaimed "Christians" who are deceived, like I once was. May God extend His mercy.
I can relate to you I got baptize in 1998 started to read my bible and stop because the more I read the more I know what I was doing wrong didn't want come to terms with my sins so I fall away until 4yrs ago when I keep having these dreams about rapture,time and those who where left behind and alot more so to speak and I thank God each and every day for not giving up on me and for giving me another chance which I now cling to for dare life and would never trade it for no other life my only regret looking back now is that I should have returned along time back to my true love which is Chris jesus now I praise him every day and trying to get my family to accept jesus as there lord and personal savior.

I didn't really start growing in my faith and relationship with God until I got out of the prosperity gospel. I used to think that the Bible was about receiving blessings and asking God for stuff all the time, and Christ was just insurance to get out of hell and he could heal you when you needed it. But when I realized the prosperity gospel was false teaching. I literally had to learn to read the Bible all over again bc I had the wrong understanding of it. Not to mention, bc I didn't have a good understanding of it, I did a lot of sinful things and I didn't really understand why we shouldn't do them besides "it's bad". But now I truly understand that the gospel is about redemption, Christ loved us so much he redeemed us when he died on the cross, and bc we accept that, bc he forgave us of all our sins, we turn from our old selves and follow him. Not to mention, we owe God everything bc he is our creator, in him we LIVE and have our. being, not "God, gimme this, or gimmie that!" But "Lord, what can I do for you, and I'm going to do all it takes to worship, serve, and follow you daily".

Yes, but this is not the true Gospel, unfortunately. It is more of the Apostate church emboldening people to preach the gospel of Calvin, not the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is businesses that call themselves "churches" and para-orgs that also are businesses making merchandise of us (2 Peter 3:3)

I have watched this several times now and each time I get a deeper understanding of the gospel. What concerns me is why have I not heard the gospel like this before and I have been in church my whole life.
I thought I was saved since I was 8 and realized I was raised in nominal Christianity and deceived regarding the true gospel of Christ after watching this documentary. Thank God for opening my eyes and my son also!
The thing about this video is it is also false doctrine. Nowhere in the bible does it say we are saved by faith alone. This is Calvinism a westernized form of Christianity. Yes we must do something to be saved as Peter told those on the day of Pentecost to repent and be baptized (immersed in water) for remission (the cancellation of a debt, charge, or penalty.) of sins. When a penetant man full of godly sorrow confesses Christ as the son of the living God (see the conversion of the Ethiopian Eunuch Acts 8:36 and following notice after Phillip preaches Jesus the first thing the eunuch asks is what hinders him from being baptized so the gospel includes baptism) he is immersed in water for forgiveness of sins. Before baptism, he is dead in sin. Plunged beneath the waters into the watery grave he comes in contact with the saving blood of Christ. There is no power in the water. The dead man is buried and the new man is resurrected. Coming up out of the water he is born again of water and spirit. A new creature to walk in newness of life. This is absolutely the best movie I've ever seen!! From experience I know that it is true. I was an addict for many years, more than I'd like to admit but in my sin though I did not know why. I read the Gospel almost daily. I realize now that it was in preparation for me to truly see what he could do. He saved me from homelessness and near death to a life full of happiness because of him. I thank you Heavenly Father for sending your only begotten Son to die for my sins!!
I grew up in church my whole life. I always struggled with my faith. I believed something was very wrong with what I was being taught in church. When I was 30 I reached rock bottom spiritually and met Jesus at same time. God revealed these truths to me Before ever seeing this video or hearing any sermons. Now when I hear sermons and watch this video it just confirms for me my spiritual rebirth. Only God could reveal such a profound mystery to a lost miserable and dead sinner.
I watched the Netflix full version. The lady featured has so very many health issues - more than most of us get over a full life time. And yet her face glows with the love of God. She is so brave and inspirational - I feel very humbled. May God always bless her and relieve her of her suffering if it his Will 🙏

Then he pummels us with accusations of guilt & shame & unworthiness to get us focused on ourselves & our performance, rather than Christ & what He's done & is still doing on our behalf.... And it's knowing that & believing that with every fiber of our being that we rise & lift our heads in confidence, not in ourselves, but in Christ & how we benefit from his accomplishments!!.... Many pastors in the video are correctly pointing out the false Gospel of the prosperity doctrine, but NOT ONE spoke of Christ's command! Matthew 24:14 "And this GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." What Kingdom is Christ talking about? The Kingdom has a KIng, a Holy set of Laws for His people, a jurisdiction on earth and in Heaven separate from all earthly kings, and a separate people set ABOVE ALL OTHER PEOPLES on the face of the earth. Deuteronomy 7:6 KJV "For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God: the Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth." God has not changed His people or the New Covenant with them. Heb 8:8 All these pastors pointing a finger at the prosperity pastors have a false gospel of their own called universalism from the Catholic heresay. Christ could not make it any clearer when He said, "Matthew 15:24 "I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel." Christ's sheep were "born from above (not "again" - mis-translation)." Anyone can follow Christ, but they can not choose Christ.... John 15:16 "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you..." Christ did NOT choose the Ishmaelites, Hittites, Edomites, Cannanites, Amelikites, Moabites, etc. So why do you preach the Gospel of the Kingdom to these people? Christ told you NOT to preach to these people!!!! Matthew 10:6 "But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." Do you not recognize a sheep when you see one? The tares look like the sheep, but they are fully mature now and have shown their fruits of evil and MUST BE BURNED with fire (Obadiah)! These pastors blaspheme the Word of God by calling the tares "God's chosen people" Rev 2:9 & 3:9. Who are these people? I was catholic, then Pentecostal (it was very cultish and legalistic and many teachings were against scripture) but then GOD plucked me out, took me out of that and brought me to truth and continues daily to KILL EVERY LIE i was taught by filling me with His TRUE word and for that I am forever grateful. Now I understand the gospel, now I know how I am saved, now I know its all through Jesus Christ. I thought all the lies were already exposed from the false teachings I was taught since it had been 3-4 years since I left the cult but this movie showed me that there was still more that He needed to expose and God used it to bring me to repentance. Im so grateful. Glory to God! I now know the Truth and the Truth has set me free 🥺🙏🏼💗✝️

Really? And have you stopped sinning? Many American Christians I ask say that it is impossible. They call Jesus a liar and they call John a liar. Yet, they claim they are trying to do enough to be accepted by God. But they refuse to obey the commands of Christ and wonder why they have felt like they were not accepted by God.

We repent of our sin before the Jesus who paid the penalty we deserve and serve Him whole heartedly. Where is the conversion of the heart in this video? I dont understand..on one hand we have the selfish properity gospel on the other we have the carefree its ALL free gospel....they both do not make sense in light of what the apostles taught..
@@BooThing14 You are absolutely right. Ironically. I was a pastor in the Assemblies of God, which errs toward "Name it, claim it!" gospel, or Prosperity gospel, but I studied in Seminary under J.I. Packer, who was at that time and for many decades the world's #1 authority on the Puritans. However, he was low Anglican with strong Calvinist theology. So I know these two gospels inside out. I always preached from the Bible, though I tried each of these against the Scriptures to see if they were true. I even read the entire Calvin's Institutes. So I am not coming at this without having given their views a fair shake. In addition, I was a missionary to the Catholics in Poland for 6 years without furlough. So I know the Catholic view quite well, too. The priority for understanding the Gospel message is that Jesus Christ's teachings are #1 priority. If any other writings in the Bible appear to contradict Jesus' teachings, we must interpret them to agree with His teachings or throw out that writing. I have not found anything that in reality contradicts His teachings. The next level of priority for understanding the Gospel and the Christian life are the writings of the full Apostles (Peter, James, and John). Last is Paul, who by his own words declared himself the least of the apostles as one born out of time, and the chief sinner of sinners. In addition, Peter declares that Paul's writing are hard on the mind and that many men even at that time had been interpreting them incorrectly and destroying themselves because of it. So, we never put Paul's words before or above either the full Apostles or the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ. But that is what these men do. They take Paul one way that they prefer, then either ignore Jesus' teachings or twist them inside out. You can find solid biblical teachings at my channel. @@TheRootedWord thanks so much for responding. it seems so simple to me what jesus and the apostles taught..they work together perfectly..but then I listen to preachers or videos like this and its seems incomplete..and just way too dumbed down, not accurate not deep enough. I have to admit though that as a new believer I naturally inclined to the Full gospel by default, rebirth, Conversion etc...without understanding it..i give credit to my pastor who taught the fullness of conversion... and the holy spirit helped me understand, even though I was a teenager. I went through some very rocky times in my early 20's but I know that was due to my own sin, growing pains as it were..it was terrible and dark..i do strongly believe in the full sovereignty of God even in those times because he put me in that darkness, the Holy spirit through Gods word warned me, i was instructed to read the bible as much as possible so that I could persevere in the years that were coming..I kid you not, the holy spirit told me this, i will never forget that night..and sure enough just as he said, it all happened. He commanded me to endure it and believe on Him, and he got me out of it when it was time..it was a complicated yet very simple business now that I look back on it. I see clearly Gods purposes in it all....so I lean a bit calvinist...just based on my conversion experience and my walk with God so far..the Holy Spirit in my experiences has never contradicted the bible. I dunno, my husband and i love to listen to john MacArthur because he teaches very well..it makes sense to us, although I dont agree with his conclusion that the gifts of the spirit have ended...that doesnt make sense to me. @@BooThing14 There is a seed of truth in every lie. Therein lies the problem with Calvinism. Calvin was a Humanist lawyer who brought the principles of Humanism into the Church. MacArthur has committed the unpardonable sin on many occasions without any repentance, by calling the work of the Holy Spirit the work of the devil. If we are unrepentant, then it is the most dangerous state to be in. We never know when God may say, "OK, you want your sin that badly, then go ahead." There are many Scriptures that indicate that this is the case. And yet, it depends on the individuals heart as to when God does this.
Went to Bethel the same year that the girl in black, Lindsay, went to Bethel BSSM, and I don't know what she heard, but I heard the gospel every single day. The gospel of grace, the gospel of Christ incarnate, dying and risen. The gospel of Christ in us, through the Spirit. Met the most wonderful people I´ve ever met, full of Christ, love, passion for God.

Unfortunately most of the claimed Evangelical church today has pastors using carnal methods to attract and keep people. Many of them are not prosperity focused,but they operate in a business mindset of growing numbers and not having faith in the Lord who will lead the necessary number to the local church. Barista bars, pallet wood backdrops, lighting and the music tickling the ears. Turn on the lights, turn off the music and will you see the attendees worshiping Christ through a Gospel message? In most cases, no. Much of the American gospel is Narcichritianty. Our every breath and every heartbeat is intended to bring glory to God,, not us.
The Rooted Word I’m most certainly not a reformed Christian either, but I would hardly call my Calvinist brothers false Gospel preachers. I don’t think believing in compatibilism or hard determinism is a salvation issue. In fact, some of the most exegetically minded leaders in the church are calvinists. I wouldn’t call them wolves, just wrong about a specific theological point that’s been debated for nearly all of Christendom.
@@IAMFISH92 Thank you Kieran. I wouldn't have either when I was in Seminary studying under J.I. Packer as my supervisor. As you know, Packer, an Anglican, is also one of the world experts on the Puritans. And the Puritans, as you probably know, embraced wholeheartedly Calvinism. In short, I was steeped in it with my higher theological education. After the education I returned to reading the Scriptures but without the lens of Calvinism, just saying, "Yes, Lord. Teach me your words." And when you simply read the entire context of the verses quoted in favor of Calvinism they contradict the gospel formed by the Calvinists. If you follow my videos on my channel you will see a careful exposition that is true to the teaching of Christ. One primary issue is making all Scriptures in the NT of equal footing with respect to priority in interpretation. This is an obvious mistake. One could argue it is the same Holy Spirit inspiring all writings, but then Peter would not indicate that Paul's writings were so hard on the mind that many men were distorting them to their own destruction. Certainly, the teachings of Jesus Christ are of highest priority. After all, He is the actual Word of God in the flesh. He MUST take highest priority and all other writings must be interpreted to agree with what He preached. If any writing on any point may seem to disagree with the Lord Jesus Christ's teachings then either that writing must be interpreted to agree or we must throw it out. There are no other options. We cannot change the meaning of what Jesus taught or ignore entire parables because it does not fit with our new gospel of Calvin (new in the sense that it is only 500 years old and Christ's Gospel dates to the beginning of Creation). And yes, we must name the wolves for what they are. They are whatever the Scriptures say they are. Jacob (aka James) commands us that we must stop holding to the faith in Christ and the persuasion in the visages of human beings. So we cannot hold back from calling them wolves or false teachers just because they have a status of respect among men or institutions. The descriptions of false teachers is quite detailed, very specific on certain points. Not everyone who disagrees with another on some point that is not critical is a false teacher. But tell me if you think teaching people to disobey the LORD is a critical point or not? Tell me if you think teaching people that they cannot escape their sin is a critical point or not? Tell me if you think creating a parallel gospel that directly contradicts the very teachings of our Lord Jesus who saved us is a critical point? Judge it soberly, for I am no idiot rambling on like many might be here on YT. I always welcome dialog on this issue from reasonable people who can be respectful and inquisitive to see why a highly educated, trained, and experienced leader in the Church (see my Bio on my channel) would make such declarations and claims. @@TheRootedWord But if they believe we are saved by grace through faith through belief in Jesus, they are preaching the gospel. Many may disagree about the means behind that, but the Calvinist I've listened to 100% believe that it is through Jesus alone that we are saved, and that it's not of our works. I don't know that any of us know for sure when it comes to a concept like predetermination. I think we all agree the God has foreknowledge. So, if God knows what will happen before it happens, does that mean it's predetermined? Even if it's our "choice", he knew what "choice" we were going to make, so do we really have a choice at that point? Many of the Calvinists I've listened to actually believe we do have a choice... but since we are dead in our sins, we will "freely" choose sin, because we are slaves to sin before we are redeemed. I just feel like the division is unnecessary. If we all believe that Jesus is God in the flesh, and that by confessing with our mouth He is Lord, and believing in our heart God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved... then the rest is just a discussion, theories, etc. Not a topic worth dividing and in-fighting over. If we agree what being saved is, I don't think the argument over figuring out exactly how every detail of the behind the scenes mechanisms is worth splitting from our Christian brothers and sisters. If we all agree that Jesus is the way we are saved, we can debate on whether we freely made the choice, or whether he elected us and we wouldn't have been able to "choose" Him without Him calling us first, or if foreknowledge means we are predetermined, or if as we make our choices God sees the "new" version of what will happen, etc. It all gets rather theoretical at a certain point. But I believe if someone is what I call a "Romans 10:9 Christian", we can have brotherly debate and discussion on the other issues. I just don't think treating Calvinists like they are Mormons or something is the right move. The Mormons actually believe in a different Jesus than the Bible. They believe Jesus was a created being, that he's satans brother, that we are saved by grace AFTER all that we can do (so works based salvation). Those are actually perversions of the gospel, and can falsely lead people away from Jesus under the guise of "hey we're Christians too". I've never seen anything that implies Calvinists believe in a false Jesus, or that they believe in works salvation, or anything that would pervert the actual gospel. They're beliefs seem to be more pointed at explaining the behind the scenes mechanisms of how those systems work.
@@MansterBear No we are not saved only through faith, since Ephesians 2 that you are quoting has another verse right after that which declares that God fits us for HIS works that are superimposed onto us and that we must walk around in. (2:10). It rejects OUR works as part of salvation, but not God's works that we must be doing. That was Jesus' point of why many Christians will not be saved in the End in Matthew 7. You must read things in their full context. The reason Calvin was able to deceive many people is that he took 1-2 verses out of context, strung them together and made a legal argument from them. He was a Humanist lawyer and was proud of it. Humanism exalts human reasoning above the revelation of God. Flee from the sickness of Calvin's gospel and return to reading JESUS, not Paul. Read JESUS' Gospel! Then after saturating yourself with it, look for agreement in Paul's writings and you will see it more clearly. "that by confessing with our mouth He is Lord, and believing in our heart God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved."

well ray comfort doens't preach it properly...the gospel is not "repenting" and believing..its simply believing christ died for you to forgive your sins..period. the real repenting is a change of mind its not trying hard to quit sinning, which is what he means..he presents the law correctly but so do a lot of heretics....he thinks you need to try to stop sinning in order to believe...thats not part of it...trying to stop sinning is not part of the equation...the gospel has nothing to do with YOU not sinning.
Meeting together with other believers is a command of God. Does not have to be in a building. But meeting as a church (the body of Christ) for teaching the word, fellowship, worship, accountability, etc. is commanded in scripture. This helps to equip us to go into the world to share the Gospel.
We are The church the Body of Christ. Jesus was are Example on How to Live our Lives as Belivers. Instead of Geting on UA-cam and Criticizing great Belivers like Todd White and Dan Mohler why not get put there And preach the Word of God and be led by His Holy Spirit. We are the Issue because we are prideful.
Don't do that if you are preaching the OSAS gospel of Calvin. It is in direct opposition of what Jesus actually taught. Yes, leave the businesses that call themselves "churches". They are full of wolves and dead faith.

I am on day 3 of a fast and the way in which I came to watch this video can only be described as being influenced by God. I am walking away from having new age beliefs that started before the pandemic and really solidified themselves these past two years. I'm watching this for the second time in 2023 and this felt like it's the first time I heard it. My heart felt so overwhelmed with gratitude and also realized how God has been merciful towards me. Because truly I needed to hear this as a Christian. It is easy to forget the Gospel as a Christian because at times we do take it for granted.
God doesn't heal everyone.. It's not because we don't have enough faith.. it's just because it's not his will. We might not always understand why..But he still want us to pray and we are going to do his will.. We should expect him to heal but even if he doesn't we are still going to praise him and give him the honour!

I have always told my children their whole lives since they were small, that this life in NOT ABOUT YOU and your desires. It never has been and it never will be. It is about Jesus our creator and his divine plan of salvation and grace for all human beings. Just try to get any millennial from the "selfie" age to buy that. Sooooo difficult, but entirely possible. Both of my children are still beautiful works in progress, but they have come so far. It has been a long hard road but so worth it. Now in their late 20's their eyes and ears are opening more and more everyday. There seems to be some sort of "quickening" going on at this time on our planet and I do not believe that is an accident. Jesus is alive and his gospel is truth. I wish that everyone in this whole world could know and understand his great love for us and I pray for all who read his words to understand that. God Bless all....❤️

I've pointed out to more than 1 Mormon that the Jesus of Mormonism is a created being, the brother of satan. The Bible says specifically the opposite. Jesus is God, and eternal being. NOTHING that was created was created outside of Jesus. Therefore, he can't be created. He can't be Satans brother. The Jesus of Mormonism is someone with they are calling Jesus, but is not the same Jesus of the Bible.
Also, Mormonism teaches that you are "saved by grace AFTER all you can do"... Do what you can, and Jesus will make up the rest. Completely the opposite of what the Bible teaches. The Bible specifically says "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast."
I also noticed debating with these people that I would provide a scripture, they would provide a writing by Joseph Smith. They almost never appealed to scripture. Seems odd that they would consider themselves Christians, but would never quote the Bible to support their doctrine.

It is kinda odd that they finally made this movie, I was telling my relatives this 20 years ago. I used to drive them crazy asking for scriptures to prove what they were teaching and believing in. I got one of their pastors so mad by giving scriptures to prove what they believed was false, the pastor got behind the pulpit a few minutes later and said NOT EVERYTHING IN THE BIBLE IS TRUE. I'm 62 years old. I know salvation is faith alone in grace alone by what Jesus did for us on the cross. I've known that for years. However, films like this are needed as a continual reminder of this fact. I was brought to tears on a number of occasions. It's easy even as a gospel believing Christian to slip into a works based relationship with God. That is a dead end. Instead admit all are sinners and thank God for sending his son Jesus to die for us. You will feel the weight lifted off and genuine good works will follow. Thank you Jesus ❤

Are you saying that the scripture in a different language is more infallible than the scripture in our own? By that same stretch of logic, wouldn't that translation you're using also be less infallible than a Greek and Hebrew Bible? Apologies while I go on a little bit of a rant here. The meanings of the words are more important than preserving old English (which is not modern English). Considering language evolves and the meanings of words, the translations (and chosen words) should also change to reflect the truth of the Word clearly to its listeners. There's a reason we don't require everyone to learn Greek and Hebrew first in order to read the Word. It should be understandable to them and is still infallible despite a language change.
All that to say, I'm sure your pastor has good things to say. While he may have identified some issues in our modern understanding or some failures along the way, based on what I saw from your links, those are not salvific issues. It's crucial to distinguish between theological issues that could cost salvation and those that don't. 1 Corinthians 13 says we know in part and prophecy in part.

It took me over ten years of going to church, zealously serving at that, to realize that I never knew the gospel because I never knew the reality of sin (which means that I never knew the true meaning of repentance or forgiveness or atonement). I never knew that I was a sinner at the core (by identity, before Christ) until morality failed me. For years I thought that I was "safe" and "saved" and a "good Christian" because I was "doing good things" but no, I was being deceived and deceiving myself. But the gracious God shone His light upon me and exposed all the darkness within me. From there it was a process accepting the gospel and receiving forgiveness by the washing of sins with the blood of Christ, but thank God I was exposed because that was the first step to repentance -- realizing what a wretched sinner I am and that I need a Savior (and Lord).
Thank you for this film. I hope that it transforms many self-righteous and self-proclaimed "Christians" who are deceived, like I once was. May God extend His mercy.
I can relate to you I got baptize in 1998 started to read my bible and stop because the more I read the more I know what I was doing wrong didn't want come to terms with my sins so I fall away until 4yrs ago when I keep having these dreams about rapture,time and those who where left behind and alot more so to speak and I thank God each and every day for not giving up on me and for giving me another chance which I now cling to for dare life and would never trade it for no other life my only regret looking back now is that I should have returned along time back to my true love which is Chris jesus now I praise him every day and trying to get my family to accept jesus as there lord and personal savior.

I didn't really start growing in my faith and relationship with God until I got out of the prosperity gospel. I used to think that the Bible was about receiving blessings and asking God for stuff all the time, and Christ was just insurance to get out of hell and he could heal you when you needed it. But when I realized the prosperity gospel was false teaching. I literally had to learn to read the Bible all over again bc I had the wrong understanding of it. Not to mention, bc I didn't have a good understanding of it, I did a lot of sinful things and I didn't really understand why we shouldn't do them besides "it's bad".
But now I truly understand that the gospel is about redemption, Christ loved us so much he redeemed us when he died on the cross, and bc we accept that, bc he forgave us of all our sins, we turn from our old selves and follow him. Not to mention, we owe God everything bc he is our creator, in him we LIVE and have our. being, not "God, gimme this, or gimmie that!" But "Lord, what can I do for you, and I'm going to do all it takes to worship, serve, and follow you daily".

The thing about this video is it is also false doctrine. Nowhere in the bible does it say we are saved by faith alone. This is Calvinism a westernized form of Christianity. Yes we must do something to be saved as Peter told those on the day of Pentecost to repent and be baptized (immersed in water) for remission (the cancellation of a debt, charge, or penalty.) of sins. When a penetant man full of godly sorrow confesses Christ as the son of the living God (see the conversion of the Ethiopian Eunuch Acts 8:36 and following notice after Phillip preaches Jesus the first thing the eunuch asks is what hinders him from being baptized so the gospel includes baptism) he is immersed in water for forgiveness of sins. Before baptism, he is dead in sin. Plunged beneath the waters into the watery grave he comes in contact with the saving blood of Christ. There is no power in the water. The dead man is buried and the new man is resurrected. Coming up out of the water he is born again of water and spirit. A new creature to walk in newness of life.

This is absolutely the best movie I've ever seen!! From experience I know that it is true. I was an addict for many years, more than I'd like to admit but in my sin though I did not know why. I read the Gospel almost daily. I realize now that it was in preparation for me to truly see what he could do. He saved me from homelessness and near death to a life full of happiness because of him. No one is worthy!! That's why it's called Grace. But the enemy is constantly bombarding us, first by luring us to seek pleasure & comfort in something besides God. Then he pummels us with accusations of guilt & shame & unworthiness to get us focused on ourselves & our performance, rather than Christ & what He's done & is still doing on our behalf.... And it's knowing that & believing that with every fiber of our being that we rise & lift our heads in confidence, not in ourselves, but in Christ & how we benefit from his accomplishments!!.... I've had to preach the Gospel to myself pretty much everyday for years, bc I need fresh reminding of it each & every day!!

I was catholic, then Pentecostal (it was very cultish and legalistic and many teachings were against scripture) but then GOD plucked me out, took me out of that and brought me to truth and continues daily to KILL EVERY LIE i was taught by filling me with His TRUE word and for that I am forever grateful. Now I understand the gospel, now I know how I am saved, now I know its all through Jesus Christ. I thought all the lies were already exposed from the false teachings I was taught since it had been 3-4 years since I left the cult but this movie showed me that there was still more that He needed to expose and God used it to bring me to repentance. Really? And have you stopped sinning? Many American Christians I ask say that it is impossible. They call Jesus a liar and they call John a liar. Yet, they claim they are trying to do enough to be accepted by God. But they refuse to obey the commands of Christ and wonder why they have felt like they were not accepted by God.

@@BooThing14 You are absolutely right. Ironically. I was a pastor in the Assemblies of God, which errs toward "Name it, claim it!" gospel, or Prosperity gospel, but I studied in Seminary under J.I. Packer, who was at that time and for many decades the world's #1 authority on the Puritans. However, he was low Anglican with strong Calvinist theology. So I know these two gospels inside out. I always preached from the Bible, though I tried each of these against the Scriptures to see if they were true. I even read the entire Calvin's Institutes. So I am not coming at this without having given their views a fair shake. In addition, I was a missionary to the Catholics in Poland for 6 years without furlough. So I know the Catholic view quite well, too.
The priority for understanding the Gospel message is that Jesus Christ's teachings are #1 priority. If any other writings in the Bible appear to contradict Jesus' teachings, we must interpret them to agree with His teachings or throw out that writing. I have not found anything that in reality contradicts His teachings. The next level of priority for understanding the Gospel and the Christian life are the writings of the full Apostles (Peter, James, and John). Last is Paul, who by his own words declared himself the least of the apostles as one born out of time, and the chief sinner of sinners. In addition, Peter declares that Paul's writing are hard on the mind and that many men even at that time had been interpreting them incorrectly and destroying themselves because of it. So, we never put Paul's words before or above either the full Apostles or the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ. But that is what these men do. They take Paul one way that they prefer, then either ignore Jesus' teachings or twist them inside out.

@@TheRootedWord thanks so much for responding. it seems so simple to me what jesus and the apostles taught..they work together perfectly..but then I listen to preachers or videos like this and its seems incomplete..and just way too dumbed down, not accurate not deep enough. I have to admit though that as a new believer I naturally inclined to the Full gospel by default, rebirth, Conversion etc...without understanding it..i give credit to my pastor who taught the fullness of conversion... and the holy spirit helped me understand, even though I was a teenager. I went through some very rocky times in my early 20's but I know that was due to my own sin, growing pains as it were..it was terrible and dark..i do strongly believe in the full sovereignty of God even in those times because he put me in that darkness, the Holy spirit through Gods word warned me, i was instructed to read the bible as much as possible so that I could persevere in the years that were coming..I kid you not, the holy spirit told me this, i will never forget that night..and sure enough just as he said, it all happened. He commanded me to endure it and believe on Him, and he got me out of it when it was time..it was a complicated yet very simple business now that I look back on it. I see clearly Gods purposes in it all....so I lean a bit calvinist...just based on my conversion experience and my walk with God so far..the Holy Spirit in my experiences has never contradicted the bible. I dunno, my husband and i love to listen to john MacArthur because he teaches very well..it makes sense to us, although I dont agree with his conclusion that the gifts of the spirit have ended...that doesnt make sense to me. If we are unrepentant, then it is the most dangerous state to be in. We never know when God may say, "OK, you want your sin that badly, then go ahead." There are many Scriptures that indicate that this is the case. And yet, it depends on the individuals heart as to when God does this.

Unfortunately most of the claimed Evangelical church today has pastors using carnal methods to attract and keep people. Many of them are not prosperity focused,but they operate in a business mindset of growing numbers and not having faith in the Lord who will lead the necessary number to the local church. Barista bars, pallet wood backdrops, lighting and the music tickling the ears. Turn on the lights, turn off the music and will you see the attendees worshiping Christ through a Gospel message? In most cases, no. Much of the American gospel is Narcichritianty. Our every breath and every heartbeat is intended to bring glory to God,, not us.

The Rooted Word I’m most certainly not a reformed Christian either, but I would hardly call my Calvinist brothers false Gospel preachers. I don’t think believing in compatibilism or hard determinism is a salvation issue. In fact, some of the most exegetically minded leaders in the church are calvinists. I wouldn’t call them wolves, just wrong about a specific theological point that’s been debated for nearly all of Christendom.
@@IAMFISH92 Thank you Kieran. I wouldn't have either when I was in Seminary studying under J.I. Packer as my supervisor. As you know, Packer, an Anglican, is also one of the world experts on the Puritans. And the Puritans, as you probably know, embraced wholeheartedly Calvinism. In short, I was steeped in it with my higher theological education. After the education I returned to reading the Scriptures but without the lens of Calvinism, just saying, "Yes, Lord. Teach me your words." And when you simply read the entire context of the verses quoted in favor of Calvinism they contradict the gospel formed by the Calvinists. If you follow my videos on my channel you will see a careful exposition that is true to the teaching of Christ.
One primary issue is making all Scriptures in the NT of equal footing with respect to priority in interpretation. This is an obvious mistake. One could argue it is the same Holy Spirit inspiring all writings, but then Peter would not indicate that Paul's writings were so hard on the mind that many men were distorting them to their own destruction.
Certainly, the teachings of Jesus Christ are of highest priority. After all, He is the actual Word of God in the flesh. He MUST take highest priority and all other writings must be interpreted to agree with what He preached. If any writing on any point may seem to disagree with the Lord Jesus Christ's teachings then either that writing must be interpreted to agree or we must throw it out. There are no other options. We cannot change the meaning of what Jesus taught or ignore entire parables because it does not fit with our new gospel of Calvin (new in the sense that it is only 500 years old and Christ's Gospel dates to the beginning of Creation).
And yes, we must name the wolves for what they are. They are whatever the Scriptures say they are. Jacob (aka James) commands us that we must stop holding to the faith in Christ and the persuasion in the visages of human beings. So we cannot hold back from calling them wolves or false teachers just because they have a status of respect among men or institutions. The descriptions of false teachers is quite detailed, very specific on certain points. Not everyone who disagrees with another on some point that is not critical is a false teacher. But tell me if you think teaching people to disobey the LORD is a critical point or not? Tell me if you think teaching people that they cannot escape their sin is a critical point or not? Tell me if you think creating a parallel gospel that directly contradicts the very teachings of our Lord Jesus who saved us is a critical point? Judge it soberly, for I am no idiot rambling on like many might be here on YT. I always welcome dialog on this issue from reasonable people who can be respectful and inquisitive to see why a highly educated, trained, and experienced leader in the Church (see my Bio on my channel) would make such declarations and claims. Many may disagree about the means behind that, but the Calvinist I've listened to 100% believe that it is through Jesus alone that we are saved, and that it's not of our works.
I don't know that any of us know for sure when it comes to a concept like predetermination. I think we all agree the God has foreknowledge. So, if God knows what will happen before it happens, does that mean it's predetermined? Even if it's our "choice", he knew what "choice" we were going to make, so do we really have a choice at that point? Many of the Calvinists I've listened to actually believe we do have a choice... but since we are dead in our sins, we will "freely" choose sin, because we are slaves to sin before we are redeemed.
I just feel like the division is unnecessary. If we all believe that Jesus is God in the flesh, and that by confessing with our mouth He is Lord, and believing in our heart God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved... then the rest is just a discussion, theories, etc. Not a topic worth dividing and in-fighting over. If we agree what being saved is, I don't think the argument over figuring out exactly how every detail of the behind the scenes mechanisms is worth splitting from our Christian brothers and sisters.
If we all agree that Jesus is the way we are saved, we can debate on whether we freely made the choice, or whether he elected us and we wouldn't have been able to "choose" Him without Him calling us first, or if foreknowledge means we are predetermined, or if as we make our choices God sees the "new" version of what will happen, etc. It all gets rather theoretical at a certain point. But I believe if someone is what I call a "Romans 10:9 Christian", we can have brotherly debate and discussion on the other issues.
I just don't think treating Calvinists like they are Mormons or something is the right move. The Mormons actually believe in a different Jesus than the Bible. They believe Jesus was a created being, that he's satans brother, that we are saved by grace AFTER all that we can do (so works based salvation). Those are actually perversions of the gospel, and can falsely lead people away from Jesus under the guise of "hey we're Christians too". I've never seen anything that implies Calvinists believe in a false Jesus, or that they believe in works salvation, or anything that would pervert the actual gospel. They're beliefs seem to be more pointed at explaining the behind the scenes mechanisms of how those systems work.
@@MansterBear No we are not saved only through faith, since Ephesians 2 that you are quoting has another verse right after that which declares that God fits us for HIS works that are superimposed onto us and that we must walk around in. (2:10). It rejects OUR works as part of salvation, but not God's works that we must be doing. That was Jesus' point of why many Christians will not be saved in the End in Matthew 7. You must read things in their full context. The reason Calvin was able to deceive many people is that he took 1-2 verses out of context, strung them together and made a legal argument from them. He was a Humanist lawyer and was proud of it. Humanism exalts human reasoning above the revelation of God. Flee from the sickness of Calvin's gospel and return to reading JESUS, not Paul. Read JESUS' Gospel! Then after saturating yourself with it, look for agreement in Paul's writings and you will see it more clearly.

well ray comfort doens't preach it properly...the gospel is not "repenting" and believing..its simply believing christ died for you to forgive your sins..period. the real repenting is a change of mind its not trying hard to quit sinning, which is what he means..he presents the law correctly but so do a lot of heretics....he thinks you need to try to stop sinning in order to believe...thats not part of it...trying to stop sinning is not part of the equation...the gospel has nothing to do with YOU not sinning.

Meeting together with other believers is a command of God. Does not have to be in a building. But meeting as a church (the body of Christ) for teaching the word, fellowship, worship, accountability, etc. is commanded in scripture. This helps to equip us to go into the world to share the Gospel.

I am on day 3 of a fast and the way in which I came to watch this video can only be described as being influenced by God. I am walking away from having new age beliefs that started before the pandemic and really solidified themselves these past two years. Truthfully after watching this video this is the first time in my 23 years alive that I have come face to face with my false beliefs and how even when I was calling myself a Christian before I truly knew nothing of the Gospel and just how important understanding it is to my walk with Christ. @@AOcreative Have a look at sola5.org. They list two churches that are reformed in Namibia. I attended a charismatic church here is South Africa, also filled with false teachings but praise God He took me to a biblical sound church. The churches that are part of the Sola5 group are reformed.
kenee Gichuhi I woke up one morning in Texas at my Hotel, there was an African Guy posed as a preacher/healer he promised that he and his fake crew have found the Ark of Gods Covenant he said that whoever touched it would be healed, which is lies but it was not free you had to buy admission a lot..and people there were so hungry for God that they all was buying tickets I cried for them knowing they were paying for a Witch to heal them. Just wanted to share this with you.
I'm watching this for the second time in 2023 and this felt like it's the first time I heard it. My heart felt so overwhelmed with gratitude and also realized how God has been merciful towards me. Because truly I needed to hear this as a Christian. It is easy to forget the Gospel as a Christian because at times we do take it for granted.
God doesn't heal everyone.. It's not because we don't have enough faith.. it's just because it's not his will. We might not always understand why..But he still want us to pray and we are going to do his will.. We should expect him to heal but even if he doesn't we are still going to praise him and give him the honour!
Healing on this side of the resurrection can only be temporary and therefore shallow. If God healed my Type 1 diabetes I would die of something else. In the light of that I have faith in the resurrection of the lamb of God as should you and everyone who believes
God can and do heal people if it brings him the glory..

Jesus healed everyone who came to him. I have experienced many healings at different times in my life through Jesus Christ, prayer and His pure Word.

The Thief on the cross was saved because Jesus had the power to speak sins forgiven while on earth. This just resonates what the Holy Spirit has been sharing with me lately. I am a pastor and need lots of courage to tell people these truths. Error is so pervasive....i have sometimes slipped into it myself but God rescued me

Jesse Martinez the Bible was write by men inspired but the Holy Spirit, me ain’t the Holy Spirit gave them the words to say. It’s really amazing how many people still don’t understand the Bible, and it’s not a bunch of metaphors! It IS a historical document with real people, living in real times, with real lives, and a REAL LIVING GOD!
The Bible is about a Heavenly battle that is STILL being played out, and how we, the humans, are the pawns, in what God loves, and the devil hates. And the sooner people realize that, the better off the world will be.
