The original/first location in Columbus Ohio no longer exists, but they created a small museum in the Wendys they opened across from HQ in Dublin, OH. It is a nice nod to the history. I also ‘flipped burgers’ for wendys when I moved to Ohio from England as a teenager.
There are now Wendy's in the UK. I live in Norfolk and there is one in Peterborough and one in Huntingdon.

Wendy’s started in my city, Columbus, OH by Dave Thomas. Wendy was one of his daughters. I have done a few paid taste tests at their corporate offices for new products which is fun.

My favorite thing at Wendy’s is the apple pecan chicken salad. The chain restaurant I’m curious about in the UK is Wagamamas.

Wendy is Dave’s daughter! Next time you *have* to get a chocolate frosty (bonus points if you dip your fries into it. Trust us, it works).

Interestingly they have Nando’s in Canada and Australia but it’s totally different to UK. Still recommend non-UKers try it!

Wendys salad and burgers are awesome...you have to have a frosty.
I really regret not getting a frosty! So many people have said I should have 😂
You can get sour cream on the side of the baked potato. It's also good if you put salt and pepper in it. I like Wendy's nuggets better than McDonalds.

I'd like to try Nandos, Greggs, Wimpy, Wetherspoons (not fast fod obvioulsy), and some local chip shops. I haven't been to the UK since 1998 and I need to go back.

I haven’t eaten at a Wendy’s in probably 15 years. It was never a favorite of mine. Five guys is also my favorite.

There are 24 Wendys in UK so long way to travel to try one.

Wendy’s just opened a restaurant near us in Colchester, UK, tried it last week and thought it was really good. Will have to try the jacket potato next time though based on the look of yours.

@@VictoriaWitt I think it’s a pretty recent thing. The one near us opened a couple of months ago. Would be interested to see if you think it is the same as the US ones.
Also Wendy has just opened one in Chelmsford Essex down the road from where I live a few days ago I tried the chilli and one of the chicken burgers but it great , also they have a popeyes Louisiana chicken in Chelmsford as well so need to try that this week. It really good five guys and Wendy’s are next door to each other in Chelmsford it great .
We have a Wendys that has recenlty opened in Portsmouth if you want to compare!

In my local town which is South West London we do have a Wendy’s, but it’s just not the same.
I loved Wimpys.

They have a Wendy’s in Maidstone Kent and I have been to the Lincoln one . Just had the same burger as you and cost me £9.50 alone . Burger was dry . X
I’ve never tried a UK one, didn’t even know we had it here! Maybe for the best if it was dry 😄

Love Wendy’s, but it’s a bit on the pricey side here in 🇺🇸 New Jersey …..If I’m being honest, I don’t know one chain fast food restaurant in the UK, but would love to see your review and thoughts on White Castles (they’re amazing) 🤩 always happy to get a notification on this channel. I’m from Canada and I when I get the UK eventually I want to try a gregg’s sausage roll and go to primark! We have nandos here and it’s not my favourite

Wendy’s is my childhood!!
Some fun things we did as kids. Dip fries in the chocolate frosty (don’t knock it til you try it)! Then we’d get a small beef chili, small baked potato, with cheese and onions. Open your potato, pour the chili on top potato, top with the baked potato fixings (cheese, onion, salt pepper). Yum!!!
I’ve been told I definitely should have got the frosty and dipped the fries in it! I’ll try it next time 😄

Victoria, there is a Wendy’s in my town in Cambridgeshire, not as many options as the Wendy’s you have been to in the USA, but it is insane, in fact I think the UK Wendy’s food looks a lot better than USA version. Especially the chicken nuggets in the UK they are 1000 times better than McDonald’s xx

Made me laugh kept mentioning Five Guys , I work for head office in Canada. Before working there I loved Wendy’s but I find the quality isn’t as good as use to be. So I only stick to Five guys now !! Btw the chilli is good !

The sour cream comes in chilled packets and they should have asked you if you wanted any, but with the new-fangled touch screen ordering maybe you missed adding sour cream.

If you are near a Culver’s please go. It’s a Midwest chain and hands down a step up

Love Wendy’s plus Wendy’s in UK is also good but doesn’t have the choice love a pretzel bun also buttermilk ranch, Jolibee is another good one to try.
Loving the vlogs as always. This is actually the pre Disney check in hotel we stay at. The pool is nice, usually very warm water.
So glad they installed a cross walk light so you could safely get across the street.
First fast food burger I ever had when I arrived in the US in 1981 was Wendy's. Soooooooo good ❤

When I went to London last year, I had Nando's, Wagamama, Gregg's and Dishoom on my must try list. Dishoom was awesome but I was underwhelmed by the others, especially Gregg's.

Dave is Wendy's father and he started the restaurant!! Wendy was adopted. It is a lovely story and Dave was very involved in the community and donating. LOL...Too bad they don't have the biggie bag there! You can get a little hamburger, nuggets, fries and a drink!!

I don't know of any fast food chains you have in the UK, assuming you have McDonald's as they have invaded the world. Whatever you have, I'm sure the food is healthier than anything we have here in the USA.
