Wow precious I love you girl. I just tried and for my first time ever I made a very good tasty spongy and yummy puff puff. My only problem is getting the shape right but I will work on it. I can't wait for my husband to try it when he gets home. Thank you sister, kudos.

Hi Precious, watched this video yesterday and tried it out today, it came out really nice, my kids finished the whole lot . They didn’t even consider me that prepared it.... Thunbs up
I am back again to tell you Sis, that today, I made puff puff for our end of school year event here in China. I am sending the link to my Chinese colleague because she took some home and her mother in law really likes them. She asked me for the recipe so...
Thank you so much precious!!! I love to cook and everything seems easy except for puff puff. Been struggling to get the perfect fluff and texture until I came across your video. I haven’t stoped dancing 💃🏽. My puff puffs are perfect 🤩 . Let the bragging begin 😂😂😂
I tried this recipe and it was amazing. is it okay if I decrease the sugar to 1\4 cup because I found it a little sweet. Here in southern Africa especially south Africa and Namibia we call it vetkoek or "fat cakes"
Tuwilika Christel Mwanyangapo thanks for the amazing feedback! You can definitely decrease the sugar if you prefer. You are the second person telling me about fat cakes. The food fusion in Africa is real. 💜
Oops! Am Cynthia and I watch your videos like tt les jrs. So this afternoon, my daughter(3.8years) takes cornflakes in a plate and starts crushing....while starring in one direction with these words from her ...."hello guys, my name is Precious. Today, I am cooking...." I was sincerely overjoyed
Precious Kitchen I sure will. Today am checking out hot pot tips cos I wanna make that. I dare not watch it without her cos she will b like, "Mama, is it Precious on your phone?"....Thank you Precious, for making our "pots sizzle"
Hi precious thank you for the video. It is so helpful.I learned how to make puff puff from you tbh.By the way are you from Pinyin?I saw your middle name to be Meshi in one of your videos
thx alot precious.... so thrilled to learn this but got one question... i tried making them but noticed that they were so oily.....how i make them less oily?
I'm Kenyan, but I love west African delicacies. I'm making most of your dishes for my party on Saturday. For the puff puff, how do you know it's done because I don't want uncooked dough.
Hello Ms. Precious...... I was wondering if you have a recipe for rice puff puff? I remember getting them back home only from the Muslim ladies.... nobody else made them. In your words, they're EPIC! Lol
Hi Marie, I am actually working on a video for gateau. In the meantime, you could check out my written recipe with step-by-step photos by clicking this link: www.preciouscore.com/cameroon-gateau-recipe/
Hi precious! Just watched your puff puff video and would like to try. However I would like to know the quantity of water you used to achieve your consistency. Looks like a litre but want to be precise. Thanks.
2 cups of water, dear. I noticed I forgot to say it in the video but all ingredients and link to written recipe are in the description box below the video.
I once complain to you about my Puff puff that it did not come out well it came out flat flat instead of round after frying please I need the exact recipy I use but a glass not cup
Bisong Tybalt I think I responded to your comment on the blog. The key is always to follow my exact recipe. I use the standard measuring cups. 1 cup of flour equals 125 grams. 1 cup of water equals 240 ml. Here is my exact recipe: www.preciouscore.com/puff-puff-101/
My sister sent this to me. I tried to make them on thxgiving. I waited 3 hours thinking my dough would rise. I failed 3 times in a row, so 9 hours. I gave up. This is my last chance, if it does not work ...lol
That's true but you can reheat your beignets in a microwave for just about a minute and they will be fresh again. Note that if you heat for them too long in the microwave, they will harden up. Hope this helps.
Why does my puff puff come out oily and soggy inside??? What am I doing wrong please I love watching you. Most of the cooking I've learnt has been from you. My husband is Cameroonian and I am Ugandan. So I needed to learn. Thanks so much
Hello precious ! I have tried this recipe twice but it failed. The first time the mixture was too thick so yesterday I tried again following this video instructions and all worked well, I even succeeded in doing the puff puff round shape with my hands BUT when I ate it it was not soft inside, it looked perfect but it tasted almost like bread 😭 Please what brand of yeast did you use, i have a feeling that I used a yeast for baking bread?
Precious Kitchen my mixture rose fine, but my puff puff inside texture was rough not gentle like yours. I think I used the wrong yeast, and I fried my puff puff in a frying pan instead of a cooking pot like yours
Hi Ma'am greetings to you. Please there is Cameroon candy(Milk sweet )please I wish to ask if you know how that is been made please help a sister. Thank you.

yes I just thinking Thailand we also have pop pop menu we put sweet potato too:)
Will try this tomorrow
should I use baking powder instead of yeast
No blessing. That will give you something like buns not soft and fluffy like puff puff. Yeast is a must here.
Precious Kitchen ok thank you
No
wow nice recipe
Do you have a recipe for the beans that is usually served with puff puff?
Wahoooooo

Hi Marie, I am actually working on a video for gateau. In the meantime, you could check out my written recipe with step-by-step photos by clicking this link: www.preciouscore.com/cameroon-gateau-recipe/
Can you tell me how much flour is in gram and how much water? I saw in your website the water is 500ml, is it correct? Thank you
Yes, water is 500 ml. Flour is 375 grams. Hope this helps.
@@PreciousKitchen Thank you!!
Ça m'a l'air très apetissant 😋😋

Dana TCHUISSEU thanks so much dear.
thank you so much precious God bless you
What happens if you let it rise for more than 2 hours?
What happens if you choose to let it rise over night?
What about using fresh yeast
You could use fresh yeast if you want.
Ok should I also put it in warm water too as you did
Hi please what if i use nutmeg and yeast
ENDURANCE SYLVESTER a little nutmeg will be fine. The recipe already includes yeast.
What type of flour???
It's Okey if I use break yeast?
Hi Rachel, I'm not sure what break yeast is. Do you mean bread yeast?
yes bread yeast
rachel mulonda that's okay.
Hi precious! Just watched your puff puff video and would like to try. However I would like to know the quantity of water you used to achieve your consistency. Looks like a litre but want to be precise. Thanks.

I like your wig. i got one just like it.
That's interesting. Where are you from?
Precious Kitchen I'm from Zimbabwe.
I see. Nice to meet you, dear.
Precious Kitchen You too my sister.
Hey how hot should the oil be?
Quamejones about 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
just a bit
I once complain to you about my Puff puff that it did not come out well it came out flat flat instead of round after frying please I need the exact recipy I use but a glass not cup

I'm about to make it thanks. Can I put egg in it?
You can but egg isn't necessary. Also, adding egg will change this recipe. The batter will be too light. Hope this helps.
My sister sent this to me. I tried to make them on thxgiving. I waited 3 hours thinking my dough would rise. I failed 3 times in a row, so 9 hours. I gave up. This is my last chance, if it does not work ...lol
haha @them stubborn puffs puffs.
😂 I know right.
Why you don't give the measurements of everything, that will help more for men to do it
If you get sister WEY Sabi cook like you please kindly let me know
Please why does oil always like always enters my puff puff.
The heat was probably too low for the Puff Puff. When the heat is too low Puff Puff soaks up oil.
@@PreciousKitchen thanks so much you are de best
Nice to see you
why does she keep saying butter
Ezzydeen M she said batter not butter. Batter is what you call the mixture
LOL thanks i didnt know that
Sorry,very simple
I love Beignet, but they are like french fries - if you don't have after cooking they are not worth eating.
That's true but you can reheat your beignets in a microwave for just about a minute and they will be fresh again. Note that if you heat for them too long in the microwave, they will harden up. Hope this helps.

Rose Line that's strange. Did your mixture rise like mine? If you follow my exact measurements it should come out like mine.
Precious Kitchen my mixture rose fine, but my puff puff inside texture was rough not gentle like yours. I think I used the wrong yeast, and I fried my puff puff in a frying pan instead of a cooking pot like yours
you need to do deep frying on gentle heat so it can cook well on the inside.
Followed your recipe to the latter! My puff puff is exquisite I was never able to get them right thank you!
You are most welcome, Yvy! Thanks for coming back to let me know.
Thank you for this, I’m on puff puff today
