OMG you are simply amazing, have missed this fab video before, just what i needed. You are so fab creative and so happy with you, i would get depressed trying that all and failing a couple of times, you are so presistant. I so appreciate all your ideas 👍😘
I ran out when I first started card making two yrs ago and bought the Heidi Swap items for foiling. I was so disappointed. Stamping and foiling does look much better than it used too, but not perfect yet. I say give it time, someone out there is probably working on a product as I speak. Nancy, thank you for your time and all that u do, especially this time of year. My grandson is 20 months already.
I really appreciate you showing us this. I have been having such success with my NEW Minc machine that I am happy doing my foiling with that, I like the smooth look too.
Could you stamp on white paper then scan it into your computer. Print the scan image on a laser printer then foil. That’s if you have a stamp that you really want to foil! 😂. Your videos are so interesting!
Yes that Is my preferred method
Thanks for showing us what not to do! Love this. 🤗🇨🇦🤗
Oh, Hale to the Queen of foiling! You are my go-to now. Happy Thanksgiving, Nancy.
Thank you so much, I appreciate your input and education!!! Have a Beautiful Blessed Sunday 🙂♥️🙂
Thank you for your experimenting so I don't have to. You just saved me a lot of money and frustration. I will stick to toner sheets and, of course, hot foil.
I’m with you - I like the smooth foil. This stamping and foiling is just too much trouble for not great results. It’s a good option for some I’m sure. Thanks for sharing!
Thx again for this fab video, this is the second time i watch it, watch all your video's multiple times, there is so much info 👍, PS no more dusty dusty needed here??
No the stamps are bumpy already. So it doesn't matter. It's never super smooth.
You are so right. I experimented with these methods prior to watching your video and had even worst results than yours. It was a frustrating experience.
I love the look of foil but i am hesitant on making this move. Thanks for all of your demonstrations.
another very informative video Nancy,tfs.x
I agree with you . Use gold or silver embossing powder gives a better look than trying to foil
Have you tried the decorative foil gel on the stamp yet? Wonder if that works?.....nevermind as just saw you had tried it at the end! Someone needs to come out with something that will work like we want it to work ! Tfs!!
Thanks for researching this!

Thank You 👍. Very pretty.
Have you tried the Deco Foil transfer gel? I have great luck with that. With the laminator and also sometimes I just use the pressure of the die cut machine.
Hello from Illinois, watching the replay
Great job, first view ♥️♥️♥️♥️

Have you tried using a blending tool with some deco transfer gel and covering your stamp with that, then letting it dry and then foiling? I thought you did this once. I can’t remember.
No I tried the Heidi Swapp stuff, but that's a good idea. 👍
I threw my stamp and stick away. I never could get it to work right.
Yeah it doesn't.
Each and every attempts with stamps have been a disappointment. I think I accept better a few black spots on my foiling with laminator than the smudge result with the stamp. I saw a mini minc at a very attractive price a couple of days ago, I ordered it and will get it in a few weeks. Too late for Xmas but on time for New Year. I hope I will then have no more black spots.
I’m wondering what would happen if one were to sprinkle laser toner powder instead of embossing powder? Or if someone came out with an ink pad that had toner infused into it?
Never use powder toner and yes that's what needs to be invented, a Toner ink pad.
Nancy, maybe someone should suggest it to Tim Holtz! Are you saying we should NOT try toner, or that you’ve never tried it? Granted, I wouldn’t try to open a cartridge, but sometimes it just comes out on its own... I may see if I can collect some to test out. I think it can also be purchased to refill cartridges... might try it this weekend! Could be revolutionary! :)
@@heidiyamazaki1292 please let us know if that works for you.
@@heidiyamazaki1292 have you tried this yet????
Here is an idea, you can get small bottles of toner ink. I bought 4 little dauber bottles and put some of the toner ink into it. Than put the stamp on the Misti and hold the clear lid straight up and you are dabbing the ink on the stamp when it is sideways. If you use the dabber bottle down, it will RUN out. Dab the ink on and stamp it quickly ( it has to be fast or the stamp will stick. ) Take the paper out of Misti and set it aside. It has to be completely dry. A couple of days, than you can foil. It works pretty good.
Are you using just plain black card or toner card xx
Plain black card. Toner card would have foil stick all over it.
I’m new to foiling but it has worked for me. I use “Wow! Bonding powder” it’s like embossing powder, same pot size and all. Works really well with the couture creations(GoPress&foil) hot foil. I don’t have the machine, I just bought a pack of 5 foils to give foiling a go. Same result for me as printing. The one thing that happens that I don’t care for is that there’s extra tiny specks of foil elsewhere. It’s not an issue with the powder it also happens when I print. I wonder do you experience that too?
Dust, wipe your image and foil before adhering
Have you tried this with the gemini foil press
No, might have to do some experimenting.
Have you tried gold leaf adhesive?
No, Is that just two way glue? Wet and then dries sticky?
Nancy Stamps yes. I haven’t either. Just wondering how well it would work. I may give it a try.
You are overheating your stampnbond! As soon as it’s clear STOP
