I had a 400 version of these. I actually had '94 400L utility too. If anyone is wondering, don't be afraid of the 2 stroke. It didn't get super cold in TN but mine always started almost like EFI (but had to warm up). Scramblers are great even the 2wds because it's a sporty atv that still has ground clearance, you don't have to go around ALL DAY on trails.
Bought a brand new 2009 from a dealer in Oklahoma that had it for like 4-4.5 years . Mine has still never seen mud . These are the best all around quads ever made in my opinion .
Just picked up the exact same bike, and same condition, unfortunately these had a crappy surepower ECM that crapped out alot, mines gone, no start...new one on route.
A Man You saved the entire UA-cam platform by providing us with this information. We were so close to imploding but you were there to save us all. To add insult to your injury I inflicted a 2011 model could very well have been made in 2010, just like ANY vehicle. I'll send you some Band-Aids 🤦🏻♂️
I bought one for 600 from my uncle it needs lil repairs but the frame and engine are in good condition probably going to have to put another 1200 into it, think it’s worth it for this bike?
Just a steering stem bushing. $10 dollar part and about 15 min to replace 👍🏻 Rear shock just failed tho.. that’ll be about $100 for a new shock absorber.

Wow it must be a pure time capsule 🚀
Had a 2004 and mine saw tons of mud. Always cleaned it off after. Great quad!
I had a 01 500 H.O. scrambler and it was a great bike. Never had issues with the 4x4 but it went through rear wheel bearings like a fiend. Nice find
Thanks and yeah I greased the rear wheel bearings as soon as I got it 🔧
I had a 2001 scrambler 400 sport 2x4 and that thing was a beast!
I drive a 2003 Scrambler 500 4x4, pretty decent machine that is real fun to drive with great power
These fourwheelers are awesome I have a 2002 Polaris scrambler 500 2x4
owned one of these since 2008, coincidental enough you have the same model, beautiful quad my friend, great shape
You always find the cleanest bikes. That thing looks like a ton of fun.
Thanks man, you know I’m always on the hunt.
I got a scrambler of my own and I was wondering if you could make a tutorial on how you do a wheelie so well.
step 1 clutch kit
I thought the same thing my friend, he does come out the gate popping wheely then he gone.! Awesome mine don’t do that and bought it brand new in 2001

Great video, fun to watch. My buddy had one years ago, he loved it. In that shape, you can get a good buck for it. Fun machine.
Thanks! Yeah man I’m definitely going to hold on to it. Way to fun to sell
They did not stop building them in 2010 I have a 2011 and I think they still made it longer than that
Ah maybe 2011 is the last year

Just bought it and its amazing
Do you think 3k for a 2001 is worth it ?? Looks just like yours in beautiful clean shape ..
I think $3000 would be top dollar if it is a time capsule. I don’t mind paying for things if they are in perfect condition.
Thank you , Saturday I’ll be picking it up 👍
Beautiful piece of land!!
Appreciate it! Lots of works to get it to this point
