Upgraded Moon Productions we had a shrek the musical in my sophomore year and I was shrek 😔 it was fun but I’m a girl with a high soprano voice. Why did they cast me.
Upgraded Moon Productions My best friend dressed up as Shrek for a school musical back when we were 9, with the green face and everything. The teasing from me and his other friends lasted until we graduated from high school.
I played Farquaad my 8th grade year. I'm 6ft. I had to walk on my knees with fake legs tied to my waist and knees. Still fun though.

I always thought the Shrek movie was just okay, but my cousin played Fiona in her high school production of Shrek the Musical and it gave me a new appreciation for it. And this cover did it even more.
I participated in a Shrek preformance once in school! I was just one of the background characters, but was so much fun! There's so much more in the script than just in the movie - then again, the actors make the play what it is as much as as the script. Just like the song cover got so much character thanks to Alex and the others :)

So basically, it’s the precursor to Shrek: The Musical.
I think you all know how I feel about Shrek: The Musical.

I've been trying to figure out the harmony for Donkey's part all day, and I just so happened to stumble upon this piece. This has got to be one of the best covers of this song I've heard, all of the parts are so clear, everyone's tone quality fits so well, Shrek's accent is spot on, and the art is amazing!! Truly a fantastic piece!!

This is one of my favorites from that musical! I must say, you really did well with Shrek's accent!
I also love how Fiona and Donkey get to sing lines from their own previous solos, going from comical (especially Donkey's song) to heartfelt. Shows that a musical adaptation doesn't have to be just a cash grab.

This is giving me flashbacks from when I was in Shrek, now exactly a year ago. This was my favorite song to listen to being performed because my friend was Shrek and he had an amazing voice. You did such a beautiful job!
Loved the musical so far. It perfectly captures the heartbreaking moments in the anime. Just overall amazing billions of shrek fans will be pleased with this.
God I’ve been replaying this over and over again cause like, memes are fun and all but it reminds me how fantastic and revolutionary shrek was. And the Musical just takes the whole thing and kicks it up a notch. This cover is absolutely stunning and it’s made me emotional and gushy about this fantastic source of meme.

The high school I went to has a tradition where every other year they put on a musical. My senior year happened to be one of those years, and they'd chosen Shrek the Musical as the one they'd perform. Out of all the songs in it, I have to say that "Who I'd Be" is easily my favorite. So, I saw this and I felt obligated to view. Great job on this, guys. You've taken this song and made me love it so much more! Thank you!
Back in 5th grade my local theatre did this. I played a random ensemble member but I still have the CD we got for participating. This seriously gave me the nostalgia tears since “Who I'd Be” was my favorite song.

Well I wanted to make them resemble the ones singing their parts. So I tried to make Donkey look like Moon, Shrek to look like Alex, and Fiona to look like Tex

I played the Captain of the Guards in this show in my sophomore year and this was my favorite song as I can, weirdly, relate to this song in it's message and feeling

I worked on the run team for Shrek the musical at my high school! We had these “tree towers” on a fly system for the forest/swamp and Duloc. They were 18 feet tall and *holy shit* I still have nightmares of holding them from underneath so the fly team could hoist them into the air.
