Connections: * Both are the main villains of their series, representing a dark reflection of their protagonist (Tomura and Deku started as quirkless kids who wanted to become heroes, the difference being that the awakening of Tomura's lead to him becoming a villain while Blackbeard shares the same dream with Luffy but unlike him, he's not afraid of using the lowest of tactics to achieve his goals). *Both of them were orphans who were adopted by the most powerful criminal alive (All For One and Whitebeard) and would later betray them and obtain their powers (the quirk All For One and the Gura Gura no Mi). * Continuing with the parallels with their protagonists, both BB and Tomura started as low tier criminals with a pathetic introduction (Tomura is portrayed as an irritable manchild who fails with evey plan and Blackbeard is introduced as a drunk, short-tempered fatass). However, they would slowly evolve and grow alongside the protagonists, becoming as much of a threat as them. *Both of them are characterized by an unbridled force of will to pursue their greatest dream which will make them the freest men alive (destroying society (literally and metaphorically) for Tomura and becoming the Pirate King for BB). Because of this, they have a lot of respect for the people that have a strong force of will and ain't afraid to show said respect even to an enemy. * Both participated in a break out from a max security, underwater prison (Tartarus and Impel Down) and recluted criminals from there. *Both have powers related with destruction (the quirk decay which pulverizes everything it reaches and the fruits Yami Yami and Gura Gura, which allow BB to summon a black hole and create earthquakes respectively). * Both conquered a location by force and turned it into their HQ (Deika city and Hachinosu island). *If a very popular One Piece theory ends up being true, both of them at one point were three different persons inside one body (Tomura Shigaraki, Tenko Shimura and All For One in Tomura's case and three twin brothers in BB's case). * As a contrasting point, Tomura has a deep appreciation for his closest underlings, seeing them as his family while Blackbeard just sees them as tools that he can always replace if they stop being useful. *Shonen Jump MU
All I can say about this match up is I wouldn't be surprised if Shigaraki does win at the time of writing this, but I think in the future Blackbeard could win depending on the direction OP goes into. Shame we probably won't get this match up because of Rooster Teeth going down.
On one hand, blackbeards black hole and power nullification only works for devil fruit, and their isn’t much evidence for him being FTL like the rest of his verse. On the other hand, Blackbeard should swab the deck with tenko’s corps, to much of a stomp for my liking so no thanks. I’ll stick with king K rool for Blackbeard, and uh… any good shiggy matchup suggestions other than this ( not bad just not one I’m a fan of)
Yeah, but the two big pros Tomura has is 1) He has a regenerating factor (plus apparently he can just come back to life if wants to) and 2) Decay is basically an insta kill if touches you in your torso or head. Also, ain't K. Rool vs BB a stomp on K Rool's favour? Honestly I don't care much if the battles are stomps since I seek more the interactions than the debate (and everyone will end up complaining no matter who wins). As for alts, Mahito and Denji are pretty cool (apparently the whole Tomura not being able to hit Mahito has been debunked
@@mdsystems4463 I'm not against stomps, my most wanted is ejiro kirishima vs bolin (my hero academia vs avatar: the legend of korra), but usually I prefer when matchups are close enough so that I stay at the edge of my seat, plus I'm not sure the character for this fight is enough to happen, especially when both characters have other more wanted and even matchups. Also K. rool vs BB is only a stomp depending on what you beleive for mario-Donkey kong scaling.
