      PLEASE READ
      Everyone please. Now Is not the time or place to make match up suggestions/requests. Saying that Is Ironic because I’m literally listen to Mighty Right now as I type This on the: Time and Place, Part
      There’s a hole form where you can submit these ideas Witch Is what It’s for.
      The how point of this comment was to Inform us about fake DB accounts. So please don’t take every time Death Battle leaves a comment somewhere as a chance to make a request. Their most likley not gonna see It here any way. Or care because this Isn’t where your supposed to make those kinds of requests. This Is also Not the point of there comment and completely goes against and has nothing to do with what they just said
      If you really want them to do these match ups. Then please, Use the Death Battle suggestion form In the link In the description of every video, To submit a match up Idea you may have.
      But spamming stuff like this every time they leave a comment Is gonna make them not want to do the match up because of how desperate you seem to come off and spam them to do a match up asking them at the wrong place and time
      Death Battle Is obviously not gonna see what you say hear because they get notifications for literally every comment on every one of their videos. Using the Suggestion form guarantees that they’ll actually see it
      And Thank you for the warning, DB. Yeah, I got messaged twice already by a account claiming to be “Death Battle”.

    I love how, when Tetsuo goes full body-horror, Magneto seems hopeless and kind of looses the will to fight; that is until he hears Tetsuo's thought "Help me". He then realizes that it is his mission to rescue this kid from the suffering of his own existance. That sparks the will to fight again, but for a much heroic, if tragic, cause. Not to survive, but to "rescue" Tetsuo.

    • @rogue_2k374

      Also look at his eyes. During most of the fight they are white, a sort of “neutral” mindset, but during most of the points where Magneto is most angry, especially the brain blast before Tetsuo begs for help, they are red, showing his rage. But when he is grabbed by Ego Death Tetsuo his eyes are human. I think this is supposed to be his, well, human side so to speak coming out and giving him a better reason to fight than him being racist.

      Therapists take up their profession because they genuinely enjoy helping people. They go through years upon years of expensive education (as you snidely noted) just so they can spend half of their career paying off that schooling. Do you think someone would go through all of that just to “likely not care or contribute” with their patient?
      Look, I know you must have been hurt in the past and I won’t act like I know what happened. But I do know that carrying yourself like a victim of circumstance and believing that the world is against you, isn’t going to help you in any way. It’s only going to push people even further away and cause you to cast blame onto others for your own problems. Ostracizing yourself even further through resistance.

The endings especially have made it much more about how the characters react to victory/killing or being killed. In this fight especially, the fact that Magneto showed empathy for the espers' pain and ended Tetsuo's suffering with a single accurate shot shows compassion that I didn't previously know he had. more or less this is quite accurate. Humans he doesn't really care about but in recent times he has come to see that his methods are causing more harm then good. If he see's a mutant in trouble, no matter whom it is, he has there back and will save them regardless.
      As far as humans go, he won't purposely kill them but he won't go out of his way to save them. If they aren't messing with him he won't bother them. In the crappy Xmen The Last Stand film after he moves the Golden Gate Bridge he takes a moment to lock the car door of the family that he noticed that was about to be caught in the middle of the battle. It was a funny moment but it is quite accurate to his character

      Magneto is one of the most multifaceted charathers in marvel comics, to the point he's the only one that managed to get out of the cyclical resets to status quo.
      While he's raw output is not the highest even just ong mutants, his effectiveness is only limited by how much distructive he wants to be.
      But it has been since the late '80s that he decided less on the "conquering and subduing the world" and more on "creating safeheaven for mutants to protect them from humans" as a solid alternative.
      He has not been the direct enemy of the Xmen in a while, but he has challenged their point of wiev to the point that they conceded him the point, and latelly they even built not one, but two full on places "for mutants only" with shared ruling!

      Magneto is a villain, but his villainy doesn't really come from hatred or evil IMO. It comes from his experience during one of humanity's greatest atrocities and his absolute faith that his people, the mutants, are the future and his fear that humanity will attempt to destroy them out of fear of losing their place as the dominant species on Earth. That fear made him decide to destroy humanity first, but the fact that he started out as an X-Man and joined them again later once he realized his methods were only hurting his people more than helping them is proof of this. He does care about people, but he's a pragmatist that embodies the idea that "humanity will eventually push our kind until it becomes a battle to determine the survival between us or them, and I damn well intend to make sure that we're the ones that make". I have no problem imagining Magneto genuinely feeling bad for Tetsuo and killing him as a mercy rather than simply for his own survival because despite the horrible things he's done, he's not an altogether horrible person. At least not in the main continuity.

      Shutting off someone’s brain wouldn’t result in “Tetsuo being more uncontrollable and deadly”, it would pretty much just you know, kill him. Shutting off his powers means he can’t use them anymore, and the blood manipulation can be used in far more ways that could easily end the fight instantly.

    • @SKy_the_Thunder
      @SKy_the_Thunder 2 роки тому +6

      Hm... in most cases you can assume that someone with those kinds of powers has some defenses in place, even if only instinctual. Tetsuo is hardly the most methodical person, but the few moments of focus Magneto needs to pull something like that off should be enough for him to notice that something inside of him is off and stall it long enough to distract his opponent with more attacks.

    • @stalememes6162
      @stalememes6162 2 роки тому +6

      @@calsalitra4689 Magneto’s ability to shut off powers (Specifically Tetsuo’s ESPer abilities) literally just means he can shut them off, as in preventing the use of them. It doesn’t mean they lose control over the abilities, as that is not how power nullification works.
      Nullifying someone’s powers means they cannot use the powers, it does not mean that they just “lose control”. Preventing the use /=/ making someone lose control. Losing control still means that the person can use any powers they have, just that it’s harder for them to be used in the precise and desired way they would be used normally, with them going rampant, which is not how Magneto’s power nullification works. Mutants can actually have the same issue with their powers, yet Magneto can shut them off, not just make them lose control. Tetsuo’s powers require him to act, none of them are passive abilities, he has to specifically activate them in order for the powers to be used. Not to mention, the reason why he loses control is because his power is growing as the story progresses, which Magneto can take advantage of. Magneto in his fight with the Phoenix (Who also has trouble specifically controlling her powers, like Tetsuo) specifically jammed her powers with his electromagnetism manipulation, which prevented her from getting stronger and shutting off her own psionic abilities. The way that power nullification works is specifically making powers null, or have no effect, which is what Magneto’s ability is, and again, Tetsuo’s powers need to be activated, and he loses control by activating those powers, and using them so much that it becomes unstable. The way they become unstable is directly caused by Tetsuo willingly using his powers, which would not happen with Magneto.

    Another advantage Magneto had was that he was used to fighting opponents with similar abilities in terms of telekinesis, such as Jean Grey. This gives Magneto an advantage regarding experience, especially if Tetsuo is unaware of said experience.

      To be fair to Justin, Jean had to go through A LOT of power creep to get where she is. Her early appearances were limited to doing one minor thing per fight, and then spending the rest either entirely useless, or as the damsel in distress.

    I knew Magneto would when once it was brought up that Tetsuo was powerful, but could loose control once pushed.
    Magneto had complete control of his powers to insane extents.
