- After a loss in the second round of the Qatar Masters Open 2023, Magnus Carlsen was up against IM AL Muthaiah (2470) from India in the third round. Magnus played 1.e4 and Muthaiah responded back with the Petroff. It was an exciting game where the Indian IM really played at a very high level. Would Magnus be able to subdue him? Magnus just respects good players. He'll always sit back and analyse after a good game, irrespective of the opponent😊
He didn’t respect when he got beat the other day 😂. He just stormed off 😅
@@Wargasm54 Yeah, I was gonna say, he's always happy to discuss after a win, definitely not after a loss.
Whole world can learn from Carlsen and Muthaiah , love and friendship is the answer 👍
Magnums shows what a wonderful warm classy person and Champion he is!!
When greatest chess player shares his insight , it’s a win for IM . Classy and humble Magnus
Salute to the commentator..... He explained with clean information I think he is the most powerful in chess
I think he is sagar shah
The fact that Magnus analyzed with him at the end means that he respects his chess ability.
but when Magnus loses he cries on twitter
@@DEEPWATERS4😂😂😂 well said
Actually he gladly does it with anyone when he wins
@@DEEPWATERS4 yeah he feels disrespected when he loses to a significantly lower rated player, maybe because he lost only 1 time in last 16 years against 2500 he feels its impossible
But when loses why always cheating accused
"Watch my finger, I can put my finger in this square or this one here but watch closely as I move my finger on this square. I can also have my finger hop from side to side or even in a circular motion or two fingers on two squares at the same time, and that's how I won..."
🤣👍
I'm an 80 yr old Patzer. never got a serious rating due to life and time restraints. but still love the game. and watch a lot here, and I appreciated the fact that Magnus respected his opponent enough to analyze the game with him afterward. stellar move Magnus. ECF.
Good to know that an 80 years old is still healthy and watching this such things. As of me, I think I’m not gonna reach 60 years old, and my age is only 30 years old! 😂😂😂
19:56 The smile says everything!
Magnus teaching the youngster how the knights move after the game. Such a class act!
his opponent is an IM. about time he learn how knight move
@@khairulhelmi4595it was a joke man one magnus trolled botez sisters by asking the same qs
Youngster? Mf atleast 40
He is 24
Mutha is so cool. Played a really good game.
From what I could decipher through my lip reading skills, Magnus seemed to be saying, "You know, I once asked my chess set how they're doing. They said they're just board!"
😂
Let's appreciate Muthaiah for a brilliant fight ...huge round of claps 👏👏👏👏👏🔥
Just 64 squares , astonishing to see how many combinations it gives and how people break their head to keep their king Intact....
The best part of the video was "Let's listen to what they're saying." 🥳
If Sagar bhai decodes their discussion post match it will be great
Sagar said "Lets listen to what they're saying"....but it's only radio noise
Wow they spoke very loudly where I need to reduce my volume
one of the best chess commentators in the world! Almost on par with football commentators- but making chess commentary is tougher!
your name should be @alwayswrong lol
There something different makes magnus a world champion, its not only he plays like super computer, he keeps every game humble and simple. Which makes him more deserved for being the world champion. He know how to act like a true champion. And thats why he is the world no 1 for so long.
he played as a solid GM
Humble player muthaiah, payed well👏
7:52 why not Ng5? By Magnus
7:45 What am i missing here, Obviously Magnus would have found it if this sequence was possible: White can start with Kg5, What's the defense to White queen entering h7 on the next move to give chackmate on the third move at h8??
nice commentary, thanks
Sagar mixing his spicy commentary with history lessons, the notion of Casablanca's idea is something that I really appreciate.
GG to Muthaiah, he played really well!
Carlsen is a very nice humble gentlemen
It's True only as long as he keeps winning & dominating chess world.....when he loses to Sulemanyov, he blames organisers for allowing analog watch, spectators moving around etc....He quit tournament when he lost to Niemann in St.Louis claiming cheating....It has happened before world champions lose to less recognized players....Why can't he think that they are preparing & waiting for this day for years....Its just one off day, you have to accept and move on, instead of tweeting
@@loyalguy25 I think it’s unfair for him to whine when losing. I agree.
@@loyalguy25well hans did cheat , but u wouldnt be so smart to figure it out
sagar bhai, you explaining every important move is very good
Lets listen to what they are saying.. Phis phis phis phissss... Phisss phisss phis phis... Phiss phissss phiss phissss 😁😁😅😅
😅😅
True , I only hear hissing sound
Clever, they pretending to talk about chess but in reality they were gossiping about the other players.
Muthaiah will be a GM in the very near future!
Handshake at 18:57
I dearly need that book Sagar bhai , koi online tournament vaigairah krvao plz....
Yes for 1500 rating elo players 😅
This is the class Magnus has . Even been greatest chess player he respects well played opponent . Kasparov lacks this novelty .
Bro that conversation ws loud..i had to lower my volume..😂😂
Muthaiah one Golden moments in his life
Wow India, somehow the indian IMs seem to be totally underrated. They deserve to get more opportunities. See how the favourites struggle (Gukesh, Giri) ?! Maybe that applies also to chinese players, as they also struggle to get opportunities outside China.
Sagar bhai❤
Amazing game
Eric, playing there, would be happy to see Stafford gambit had Muthaiah gone for it🙄...but who plays it in classical & that too against Magnus😂
Good fight by this guy
17:00 Qe2?
Oh, what nice. If Carlsen wins he is all smiling. But if he is losing nobody can speak with him. Yes, real sportmanship.
Nice game. IM muthaiah played really well. If only he would have somehow managed to exchange the queens as well. with knight v bishop is not lost at all but add queen to it and a week square f6 is difficult against super GMs.
I feel, These are the types of postions GMs might be practicing all the time. Thanx to chessbase india for relaying the games
nope. exchanging queens especially at the end was completely losing due to pawn down and carlsen's king is active
Excellent commentator!
At 7:51 why don't play Knight G5 with white? After that for black the queen is lost in best case. If not, then check mate is 100%. I can't see something?
Oh, queen F6 could be a defense.... Never mind :D
yeah let's listen to white noise.....Great game!!
Mutha forgot to wear his ⌚
😅
Why muttiah close his pen with cap every time
It's annoying😅
I am not good enough to play their moves to checkmate after the resign position in my head. At least it's not a immediate checkmate.
Magnus said you didn't cheat like the previous dude 😂
"Let's listen to what they are saying."
Me:
Another exciting horse race!
Well, for sure India comes away all around looking pretty darn goood!
Sagar, why do players have to write down moves when everything is being recorded? If a player makes a mistake writing down it will be decided by recorded moves anyway?
they are keeping the rules uniform because in many tournaments there's no recording etc.
asmr at 19:11
Please don't mess eith the moves
Okay..Alright im hiring a lipreader
8:07 what if magnus play Ng5
I guess it goes
Ng5
F6
Qh7+
Kf8
Qh8+
Bg8
yeah I agree with you
@@solly227
thank you
Were they playing next to a waterfall?
What did he say??
Super.
👏🏼
Magnus, still the real wc.
"Lets listen to what they are saying" I did in full volume and lost my eardrums ffs
Magnus would have lost or probably draw this game if Mukesh just simply played his queen to d1 after giving check he really should not touched his bishop
Muthaiah removed his watch before the game 😂
❤❤
why so many people walking around there ; must be distracting
This title is so misleading. We can’t hardly hear what Magnus talks
Everytime he takes off the pen cap
Im stressed
Sagar Bhai I think you are better player than magnus really am feeling this .
😂 kiddo wtf
👏🏾💯
Bhai kya bola magnus nai..
There is no shame in loosing to magnus !!
yes, losing to ..
So what did he say?
but why not Kg5 by magnus?
i'm a noob so i'm going to ask straight away, why do they take notes? i ask because the games become available online later, so why the notes?
Gud koschen.......
Veri gud koschen......
😅
It's part of the rules for FIDE rated games longer than rapid. It exists to make sure the game is documented - if a game becomes available online, they are usually based on those notes. They are also useful if there's a dispute over a possibly illegal move.
For higher profile games like this, you could argue it's not really necessary, since it's video recorded - but video equipment can fail.
those mics are useless
I suppor mutho
Has Magnus lost against anyone ranked under 2400
Passers-by are quite annoying.
Sorry but my speakers are poor, I can't listen ...
Lets listen what they are saying: fssssssssssss
Too bad they aren’t miked up
dude needs to wear anti sweat deo
So let‘s hear what they say: Pshshsh🫤 pshshsh🤷🏻♂️ pshshsh🤨 pspsps😂
Let's listen to wht they r saying
Chess player: .......si...... Sui... Yu... Nk/!
That means a lot to lower rated opponents!
Suleymenov
"Mr. Carlsen , I respect you so much, so I do not wear my watch , but mu lucky bracelet, I never give up this. My opponents just have to deal with it if they dont like it. "
Oh please stop making I look like you know the moves.. You have seen the video before made notes and then play it like as if you are also calculating the moves like Carlsen.. Please don't do that!!
Only if you lose to Magnus, try to beat him and you are a cheater😂
This is awful clickbait. Why not just have a normal title.
Dude, you scream too much. You don't need to yell like you're a professional wrestling commentator. Just talk normally.
That's not screaming. That is his way of commentry. And that's what people love about him. This art got him the most subscribers in indian chess
Hi! Some of us like it this way 🙂There's always the option of turning down one's volume
Everyone has their own style, and this person has obviously had huge success with this signature approach, but I don’t care for bias that sometimes comes towards India players, I get it - lots of talent to be proud of, but the best commentary is always neutral, you can capture a larger audience this way.
I want to add, I still watch!! It’s still good, but sometimes it gets an eye roll :).
@@Ericksonfamily2011Bro he is with indian youngsters when they were 5,6 years old it's obvious he will be happy when they do good. And it's not an official commentary in which he should be unbiased. He only covers particular games. It's like a person from India would love to see magnus play and win but he would also root for even a 2400 elo who is playing against magnus
The things these guys are talking about are true 5d. chess
