I needed to further expand my attempts at doing Chinese-style songs with the SD-90, and I decided to test this out by doing a Chinese-style arrange of Kanako’s theme. Instead of following the original rhythms, I interpolated the melody by incorporating the traditional Chinese pentatonic scale. Since most MIDI libraries do not offer traditional Chinese instruments, your only equivalents are a dulcimer (yangqin), recorder (dizi), and violin/fiddle (erhu).
