I must look this up once a month...everytime my french press de-assembles itself. Many thanks! (I can never remember which order all those pieces go in.)
Thanks you so much for doing this Jake because mine came apart and I can't figure out how to put it back together Lol....oh Thank God for you and this assembly video because I need some coffee ☕ this morning! God bless you Jake!
Thank you. I had forgotten how to assemble it. When my son distributed it while preparing coffee, we were stunned for a moment. After following you, the problem was solved :)
I've just woke up today on my 24th birthday and just wanted a nice birthday coffee then spent like 30 mins trying to figure this out by myself because it fell apart 😂☕ I also have ganjover from lastnight so this was some advanced engineering to me at 7.30 this morning so thank you 🙏🙏
Thank you for posting this video. I was about to return my press thinking it was defective. I kept fully screwing the bottom piece to the rod and because of that the small sliding piece would not grip onto the threads. By tightening the bottom piece only a few turns it like you explained it worked. Thanks!
Thank you! Didn’t want to ask my know- it-all hubby coz I will probably get a smirk and so I came to UA-cam and thank God somebody make a video of this. So simple but I am not good at putting things back. Thank you!
Thank you for this! You never know when you might need to know how to put your French press back together and I’m looking at it like it’s Chinese. Sure enough good old UA-cam has a video! Thanks for saving my day!
O. M. G! Finally an explanation I can see and understand! All others moved so fast and that darn screw thing never got tight-Finally see what I’m doing wrong. Hallelujah! Thank you for this ..brilliant 💕
Thank you so much, i was using the instructions i got from the package for cleaning and re-assembly of the plunger, but some how i had unscrewed it wrong and the filters were sliding up and down, your video helped me to figure out the problem, yay!
So grateful for this video...I purchased a french press from the Goodwill and it had what looked like, "loose tea" stuck between the spaces, I had so many questions...(Is this loose leaf tea? How long has this been stuck in this device?) and I refused to use it until it was totally cleaned 🤣..TYFS!
Thank you so much for this! Mg cousin gave me a french press and while washing it disassembled. I thought I broke it and felt bad bec it was given to me. With this video I was able to fix it. Tysm!!
THANK YOU for the demo 💚💛❤ it got me out of a pickel moment... lol ... i almost had the sequence right until it did not fit correctly back into the glass.
I've lost the piece that slides up the plunger, see 0:38 onwards..I've used a hollow piece of plastic but it does not hold it's form..Anybody know where to get a replacement?
Thank you for posting the video. But I want to know, what is the purpose of the spring plate on top? Seems like it should go at on the bottom to prevent the plunger from pressing down too hard on the coffee grounds and forcing the grounds up, but that's not how it's set up. So what's the purpose of it?
So I know this is 4 years old so I hope I get an answer. Every video I see the springy thing on top is connected, but mine is not. Idk if I just actually broke mine or if I have some weird french press that is just a bit different?
Thanks for the video. it shouldn't be this hard!! Mine manages to "dis-assemble" itself on a regular basis (bear in mind i've actually got three) and I can NEVER EVER remember how to put the darn thing back together. You should see some of the things I've come up with! Then I thought, maybe theres actually a video on youtube about this scenario..... lo and behold...... here you are! Thanks for saving my sanity.
Thank you - I needed this info. Maybe you can convince Bodum to put your video on their website! It says clean the mesh part daily but no info on how to disassemble the plunger!
Thank you, it actually helped me. I had unscrewed the thing and the filter and 3rd upmost part were all loose xD Didn't know how to tighten the whole damn thing together hehehe.
Thank u for this. I couldn't figure out why mine was so loose when I put it back together, was putting the top screw on first then reassembling when I should have done that last 😩
YOU SAVED MY LIFE my roommates at work and I thought I broke his French Press thank you so much for posting this video!!!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I had totally the same situation LMFAO
Same 😂😂😂

Thumbs up to videos like this that answer your question without taking up a lot of time.
