Haha you're so right. My elder boys are just into teenage years and that is a whole other world we're just getting used to! When it comes to bohemian style I really believe there's a way for every height and body shape to work the trend, it's just a matter of trying out little pieces and going with what you're drawn to. I love the green skirt! Your style very often matches my favourite shapes, fabrics and colors, but sometimes I think blue and maybe some of the pastels, which look great (!) on you, do not work so well with my dark brown hair and green eyes (which strangely have orange flecks in them as well).

I happened to be a fashion illustrator in NYC in the late 1960s and 70s and used to illustrate all the hippie fashions as well as "The Mod" look of "Swinging London" at the time along with some haute couture! I still have my long blue and white ditzy print hippie dress that had long sleeves, a square neckline, an empire bodice and a three tiered skirt! I wore colorful hippie beads, bell bottom pants/jeans and had a belt with a peace sign buckle! I also wore pale pink and pale blue eye glasses like the late great Beatle John Lennon! Along with wearing those famous mini skirts like British actress Julie Christie back in the day! Part Brit myself i.e. Brit-American and got to London's famous very colorful Carnaby Street back then! I still love tiny floral print loose tops and midi length dresses! I had a fab black shirt with tiny colorful flowers all over it from "Liberty of London" which I wish I could find the exact duplicate as I couldn't wear it anymore due to so much wearing it, my favorite piece I wore with jeans! Currently in the process of changing my look. I dress more in the 70's and 60's vibes but getting tired and overwhelmed of all the amounts of print i have. So leaning torwards a more boho chic style, still including prints but more subtle. I am definetely keeping some of my 70's piece that are boho as well. Your video help me alot.
Hi Marie, that sounds like a lovely direction to take your style, and you probably already have a lot of pieces to create the look:) Don't throw out those original 70s pieces, the best quality vintage pieces are like gold dust these days! x

Jess, you always look so good in everything! I love the BoHo look. I have several kimonos (from Anthropologie) and they always make a tee shirts and jeans look so good! I am 74 yrs. old and have a slim, short figure. I am also short waisted (but I have a large bust), so I don't look that great in maxi dresses, but I have a few midi length skirts. On me, midi length looks almost maxi :) The most flattering style of blouses for me are the off-the-shoulder ones. They camouflage my large bust, show off my collarbone and shoulders (which do not age) and hide my upper arms! Who could ask for anything more!

Jess I have an entire bohemian wardrobe - starting back in the late 70’s when I was just a wee girl I’m sure I had identical long skirts to the pink and green you modelled there - of course travelling to India in my previous job had me adding some beautiful saris and long dresses to the wardrobe - must send you some pics of them they are just stunning - your little boy is adorable wouldn’t have minded at all if he stayed in the video x oh and some of the jewellery I purchased in India breathtakingly beautiful - have a look at Good Earth’s website - the fashion and home interiors are exquisite - I used to leave home with 1 suitcase and return with 3 from any business tripx

Such a beautiful collection and I’m intrigued by the Lisa Taylor items. Though I cannot see myself wearing the bohemian style, I fell in love with the items made from sari’s - the skirts and the final dress are stunning. I like what you said about feeling comfortable in what you are wearing; it does not matter what other people think. As I’m rediscovering my personal style (after substantial weight loss) I might just add a silk kimono to my wardrobe as a first step. And your son is adorable 💙💙💙that smile!

Well Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mummies out there😘 You’re so right re bohemian style, it’s a fine balance to getting it right and not feel like you’re trying to dress ‘young’ as such. Maybe try just adding of sprinkle of the style into an outfit and see how you feel. A top and a layered necklace or just a skirt and a few bangles. It’s all about comfort so I think a good try on session in front of the mirror really helps:) Have a great day lovely x

Hi Marie, sorry to hear you're feeling like that lovely. One of my close friends is going through it too so I know the mix of emotions it can throw up! If it helps any I've eaten my way through lockdown:/ I really need to get back on my diet but being stuck in the house all the time is hard! What about changing the way you eat a little? I don't mean in a diet sense I just find if I completely switch up what type of foods I'm eating it can kick start a bit of weight loss? So for instance at the minute I've been eating bread and biscuits which I never normally do. So if I suddenly switch to a low carbs diet for a few weeks it kind of gives my body a nudge to start losing weight? In all honesty I don't know the ins and outs of the menopause but when it comes to dieting I have found this little tactic works when I want to lose a bit of weight. Keep your chin up hun, I'm sure you look beautiful just as you are it's just our bodies trying to play tricks with us and our emotions! x

Currently in the process of changing my look. I dress more in the 70's and 60's vibes but getting tired and overwhelmed of all the amounts of print i have. So leaning torwards a more boho chic style, still including prints but more subtle. I am definetely keeping some of my 70's piece that are boho as well. Your video help me alot.
Hi Marie, that sounds like a lovely direction to take your style, and you probably already have a lot of pieces to create the look:) Don't throw out those original 70s pieces, the best quality vintage pieces are like gold dust these days! x

Jess, you always look so good in everything! I love the BoHo look. I have several kimonos (from Anthropologie) and they always make a tee shirts and jeans look so good! I am 74 yrs. old and have a slim, short figure. I am also short waisted (but I have a large bust), so I don't look that great in maxi dresses, but I have a few midi length skirts. On me, midi length looks almost maxi :) The most flattering style of blouses for me are the off-the-shoulder ones. They camouflage my large bust, show off my collarbone and shoulders (which do not age) and hide my upper arms! Who could ask for anything more!

Jess I have an entire bohemian wardrobe - starting back in the late 70’s when I was just a wee girl I’m sure I had identical long skirts to the pink and green you modelled there - of course travelling to India in my previous job had me adding some beautiful saris and long dresses to the wardrobe - must send you some pics of them they are just stunning - your little boy is adorable wouldn’t have minded at all if he stayed in the video x oh and some of the jewellery I purchased in India breathtakingly beautiful - have a look at Good Earth’s website - the fashion and home interiors are exquisite - I used to leave home with 1 suitcase and return with 3 from any business tripx

Such a beautiful collection and I’m intrigued by the Lisa Taylor items. Though I cannot see myself wearing the bohemian style, I fell in love with the items made from sari’s - the skirts and the final dress are stunning. I like what you said about feeling comfortable in what you are wearing; it does not matter what other people think. As I’m rediscovering my personal style (after substantial weight loss) I might just add a silk kimono to my wardrobe as a first step. And your son is adorable 💙💙💙that smile!

The pink print skirt is the only one I would have in my closet...luckily I have been collecting for years it is rare that I see something nice enough to add.

I didn’t check fabric content actually but I find a lot of kimonos are polyester which is really annoying:/ I need to make one in pure organic cotton just for us lot🙌🏻 x

Well Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mummies out there😘 You’re so right re bohemian style, it’s a fine balance to getting it right and not feel like you’re trying to dress ‘young’ as such. Maybe try just adding of sprinkle of the style into an outfit and see how you feel. A top and a layered necklace or just a skirt and a few bangles. It’s all about comfort so I think a good try on session in front of the mirror really helps:) Have a great day lovely x

Hi Marie, sorry to hear you're feeling like that lovely. One of my close friends is going through it too so I know the mix of emotions it can throw up! If it helps any I've eaten my way through lockdown:/ I really need to get back on my diet but being stuck in the house all the time is hard! What about changing the way you eat a little? I don't mean in a diet sense I just find if I completely switch up what type of foods I'm eating it can kick start a bit of weight loss? So for instance at the minute I've been eating bread and biscuits which I never normally do. So if I suddenly switch to a low carbs diet for a few weeks it kind of gives my body a nudge to start losing weight? In all honesty I don't know the ins and outs of the menopause but when it comes to dieting I have found this little tactic works when I want to lose a bit of weight. Keep your chin up hun, I'm sure you look beautiful just as you are it's just our bodies trying to play tricks with us and our emotions! x

Hi Lidia, my favourite style to wear with this trend daytime would be a nice pair of flat sandals. I prefer going for tan as I like it against all the lighter tones, something with a hint of gladiator feel but not too over the top x
