I think the moral of the story here is that 90% of active players on that server are weirdos, 5% are historians like Sal and Fit, and 5% are just normal people who do it in their free time. I’m personally glad to not have ever played in the server, but I do find these history videos fun to watch.

I think the members are right when they call her evil. It's not about the fact it's a block game, but rather the actions she did and how long this is. If it was just "she got in, didn't like things, leaked and left" then call her an asshole all you want but it doesn't matter; this is different. She lied to them and manipulated them for 10 months straight, spending hours a day doing it, and then betrayed all the trust they ever had. It really isn't just "a block game" when you've spent 10 months deeply knowing and talking to someone for them to betray your trust in every way possible, ruining and completely destroying projects you've spent years working on.

I just can't believe half of the comments here. Her motive was very much clear to me, as someone who has experienced grooming in the past. Gosh this is a good reminder for me for why I stay far away from 2b2t (and multiplayer in general, expect for small private servers). I understand that there are two sides to every story (and the pdf file accusations), but I couldn't help but resonate with whatever innocent spawn mason players there are. Imagine becoming friends and slowly gaining trust with someone on such an unforgiving place, and over time you finally finds out that this person is using yourself to their own advantage. I had something similar to this happen to me irl from a friend I had for many years, and I was lucky that the "leaked information" was just some embarrassing facts about me and my family and nothing worse. After that, I refuse to let anyone know much about me apart from the most surface-level stuff, choosing to lie or not talk even in occasions like self-introductions. Perhaps this happened for good reason, as 2b2t may truly be a place where no normal person steps foot on. Normal people knows to stay away from this chaotic wasteland and in this chaotic wasteland there are no "good guys". After reading a lot of comments, I think this is my conclusion: - First of all, y'all discount psychiatrists need to stop trying to diagnose her - If one truly believes the IRL accusations against some members of the Spawn Masons (i.e. PDF file behaviour), and that the organization has (knowingly) done nothing about it, I can see how someone could start to believe that the organization needs to be punished in some way, and the way she saw was to ruin their fun and try to destroy this big project and this group that she saw as evil. We humans can get carried away in a certain way of thinking, especially when we believe our actions are morally justified. To paraphrase one of the Spawn Masons (as shown in the video), she bought a narrative, and acted accordingly. You don't need to be a sociopath or psychopath for that, you just need to believe you're doing good. Which means that in the end, her biggest problem was a lack of critical thinking, and that's more common than a lot of people would like to admit. I can also see how, because she had been doing it for some time, it would feel like a waste to just give up halfway through, even when she started feeling guilt about it. Sunk cost fallacy in action. Again, more common than people would like to admit. - We do not need to turn this story into a clinical case for sociopathy or psychopathy, nor do we need to treat her like a monster. We can (and should), however, criticise the thought process that led her to such actions. Even if the story is true, I seriously doubt most members of the Spawn Masons knowingly endorse PDF files, and this is something she should have thought about. Her actions ended up targeting many innocent people within the organisation. And before someone says "This is just a blocks game", you need to realise that there are people out there who buy into crazy narratives and end up causing actual, real-life harm (including death), in a very, very similar way as she did. In other words, you can kinda treat this as some sort of case study for radicalisation, within the safe bounds of a video game. But also, as others pointed out, the bonds she cultivated during those months were real human connections, and realising it was all a lie WILL hurt emotionally. The degree may vary from person to person, but it is unlikely that anyone would feel completely fine about it. They'll get over it, sure, but it doesn't make it right. Again, this is something that she did not account for in her big plan; she ended up creating a lot of collateral damage for basically nothing (it's not like her actions brought the alleged perpetrators to court or anything), and I am criticising that. Heck, from the sounds of it, she hurt HERSELF emotionally in the process. - This is why I also criticise the Fifth Column. They enabled her, cultivated the narrative that "justified" their own actions, as if to try to convince the world that their deeds were justice being served, when in reality, they're just a griefing group. They're just rationalising their actions, and trying to make themselves look better. Again, their actions targeted the work of many innocent people. Now, of course, it is expected in this server; nobody on this server should be surprised that their base got destroyed. I'm just saying the Fifth Column should stop trying to aggrandise themselves. Again, it's not like their actions brought the alleged perpetrators to court. So the lesson here is: Don't be overzealous. Make sure you think things through. Don't get blinded by self-righteousness. Don't rationalize your shitty actions and behaviours. And don't trust anybody in a situation (server) where the whole point is that you shouldn't trust anybody.

I think the members are right when they call her evil. It's not about the fact it's a block game, but rather the actions she did and how long this is. I just can't believe half of the comments here. Her motive was very much clear to me, as someone who has experienced grooming in the past.
It doesn't matter whether the spawnmasons actually did something or not, oldladynorth believed in her sources, and thought it was justice to fuck them over, even if it was just griefing their base. She may have thought of them as friends first but that changed after knowing what they did. She is literally not psychotic for trying to fight against a group of people she deems evil. I find it to be more than fair for her to use psychological warfare in a block game as a revenge for exploiting a vulnerable person.

Gosh this is a good reminder for me for why I stay far away from 2b2t (and multiplayer in general, expect for small private servers). I understand that there are two sides to every story (and the pdf file accusations), but I couldn't help but resonate with whatever innocent spawn mason players there are. Imagine becoming friends and slowly gaining trust with someone on such an unforgiving place, and over time you finally finds out that this person is using yourself to their own advantage. I had something similar to this happen to me irl from a friend I had for many years, and I was lucky that the "leaked information" was just some embarrassing facts about me and my family and nothing worse. After that, I refuse to let anyone know much about me apart from the most surface-level stuff, choosing to lie or not talk even in occasions like self-introductions.
Perhaps this happened for good reason, as 2b2t may truly be a place where no normal person steps foot on. Normal people knows to stay away from this chaotic wasteland and in this chaotic wasteland there are no "good guys". I just hope that the individuals and organizations involved can resolve this peacefully and not in-person, but that might not be guaranteed as all sides are psychopaths from my observation.
edit: after much thought, i think this is enough yap about my sub-standard irl social skills, I guess the pdf files accusation and backstabs are business as usual for 2b and if you play on it, you will have to expect this kind of bs to happen, especially if you interact with the local 2b2t wildlife.

It's pathetic that so many people would gather with the only intention of griefing, it's just alarming.
Honestly I wouldn't say they were angry at her for acting like a psychopath in "block game". I know 2B2T is meant for chaos and so treachery is part of the game. But spending 8 months getting to know people on a personal level solely for the point of completing this treachery is a tiny bit sociopathic. It's not so much the fact that she betrayed them, it's the fact that she took the time to make friends with them specifically so she could betray them in a video game. Like I dont think they should have harassed her for colluding, but i definitely think they should have given her grief for lying about being their friend (assuming she went no contact with them for the most part after this)

I mean, if she really spent many hours a day for months just to pretent to be their friend to destroy some minecraft blocks, then it's just crazy.
After reading a lot of comments, I think this is my conclusion:
- First of all, y'all discount psychiatrists need to stop trying to diagnose her
- If one truly believes the IRL accusations against some members of the Spawn Masons (i.e. PDF file behaviour), and that the organization has (knowingly) done nothing about it, I can see how someone could start to believe that the organization needs to be punished in some way, and the way she saw was to ruin their fun and try to destroy this big project and this group that she saw as evil. We humans can get carried away in a certain way of thinking, especially when we believe our actions are morally justified. To paraphrase one of the Spawn Masons (as shown in the video), she bought a narrative, and acted accordingly. You don't need to be a sociopath or psychopath for that, you just need to believe you're doing good. Which means that in the end, her biggest problem was a lack of critical thinking, and that's more common than a lot of people would like to admit.
I can also see how, because she had been doing it for some time, it would feel like a waste to just give up halfway through, even when she started feeling guilt about it. Sunk cost fallacy in action. Again, more common than people would like to admit.
- We do not need to turn this story into a clinical case for sociopathy or psychopathy, nor do we need to treat her like a monster. We can (and should), however, criticise the thought process that led her to such actions. Even if the story is true, I seriously doubt most members of the Spawn Masons knowingly endorse PDF files, and this is something she should have thought about. Her actions ended up targeting many innocent people within the organisation. And before someone says "This is just a blocks game", you need to realise that there are people out there who buy into crazy narratives and end up causing actual, real-life harm (including death), in a very, very similar way as she did. In other words, you can kinda treat this as some sort of case study for radicalisation, within the safe bounds of a video game.
But also, as others pointed out, the bonds she cultivated during those months were real human connections, and realising it was all a lie WILL hurt emotionally. The degree may vary from person to person, but it is unlikely that anyone would feel completely fine about it. They'll get over it, sure, but it doesn't make it right. Again, this is something that she did not account for in her big plan; she ended up creating a lot of collateral damage for basically nothing (it's not like her actions brought the alleged perpetrators to court or anything), and I am criticising that. Heck, from the sounds of it, she hurt HERSELF emotionally in the process.
- This is why I also criticise the Fifth Column. They enabled her, cultivated the narrative that "justified" their own actions, as if to try to convince the world that their deeds were justice being served, when in reality, they're just a griefing group. They're just rationalising their actions, and trying to make themselves look better. Again, their actions targeted the work of many innocent people. Now, of course, it is expected in this server; nobody on this server should be surprised that their base got destroyed. I'm just saying the Fifth Column should stop trying to aggrandise themselves. Again, it's not like their actions brought the alleged perpetrators to court.
So the lesson here is: Don't be overzealous. Make sure you think things through. Don't get blinded by self-righteousness. Don't rationalize your shitty actions and behaviours. And don't trust anybody in a situation (server) where the whole point is that you shouldn't trust anybody.
Idk what the details are with wrong doing by this group, but man you have to be one fucked up person to fake being friends with people for a long time just to back stab them. Giving me socio path vibes
