@@primarymeme9929 yeah, there are already factions that formed in 2b2t. hause didnt earn his powers, and his powers arent accessible by anyone else. punishment in an anarchy server has to be done by someone who has power that is accessible by others.
Re: lag machines. Someone should make a plug-in that looks at the CPU resource consumption of every loaded chunk, sorts them from least to most, and allocates all necessary resources to the least expensive chunks first. Then once it starts finding chunks that consume a disproportionate fraction of the *remaining* CPU resources (NOT THE TOTAL RESOURCES!), it begins having a chance to skip processing of those chunks for awhile. Effectively building a wall around laggy chunks and making the laggy chunks pay for it. So if you have 10000 chunks and the least laggy 8000 have consumed 30 milliseconds per tick, and the 8001st will consume 6 microseconds on it's own, despite being disproportionate it isn't problematic. So it won't be cut. But... If by the 9501st chunk we're at 40 milliseconds per tick, and it consumes 21 microseconds per tick, rationing will begin there. From there onward, the remaining chunks will be skipped such that they only average 20 microseconds per tick. If a chunk consumes a whole millisecond in a tick, then under that scenario it is only processed on average once every 50 ticks. Realistically lag is likely distributed highly unequally, so it's very likely you would not need to blacklist or ration that many chunks.

The 2b2t anarchy server is supposed to be fun, and if players are doing things that make it not fun, then hausemaster has every right to inflict punishment.
If anybody wanted to play on a "true anarchy" server, they would need to make a joined cluster host. Server limitations based on the number of machines assisting with their resources like "Cloud" devices or Torrents. Everybody puts skin in the game and therefore if somebody screws the server they would have to sacrifice their device assisting with the server. It's incredibly impractical and would lead to more problems than what could be considered on 2b2t but anything less wouldn't be true anarchy. If you want to play this game, you've got to have skin in the game.
People are free to do whatever they want on server, but not to server itself. Keeping server like this chugging along for this long is herculian task even without morons that keep trying to destroy server all the time.
imo, the ‘no rules’ of an anarchy server apply to things you do in game. If what your doing extends outside the game, like interfering with the server’s ability to run, players ability to log in and play, or even as far as doxxing, threatening, and harassing players outside the game, then thats uncalled for and should be dealt with. Although i think No server November is a bit out of line, i do understand and agree with it as the only way to get Hause’s attention since he is so stubbornly oblivious and/or actively ignores the servers and players
I agree with thinks like doxxing and harassing although i think gaining access to a players account for the sole purpose of griefing their base is completely ok. I also really enjoy the fact haismaster has to constantly "fight" to keep the server running due to attacks etc. i believe that to be within some sort of "competetive spirit" that i associate with anarchy servers.

Being an anarchy server doesn’t just mean the player can do whatever it want. It also means that the owner can do whatever it wants to. So in theory Housemaster could ban everyone or reset the world.
@@Rodrigo-kq3js quoting a comment: He is not a leader, no one is obliged to listen to him. There are NO rules to follow. He literally can do whatever he wants.
I truly believe that anarchy means vanilla in every sense of the game, and every plugin should simply be there to provide the vanilla experience. For example, even if they installed a plug-in that only rendered blocks that should be visible and maybe two or three extra deep, so that things below the surface cannot be x-rayed, I would still consider this anarchy because it's all within the rules of Minecraft itself.
A quick thing about the bookban base delete thing. The world downloader mod dose not download the content of inventories or block metadata. It only saves the positions and types of blocks within the download. I'm not sure about the most recent iterations of the mod, someone may have improved it. But the fact remains that at that point in time it was limited in what it could do.
Yeah I'm inclined to believe Hause on this one, there are plenty of ways to overload the server but one that persists across restarts without any player action like overloaded region data is really dangerous to the server integrity

This video is legendary. Thanks Vincent for making it! :D
The fact that anyone even attempts to argue against being banned for intentionally lagging a server is possibly the dumbest thing I've ever seen in the MC community
About the last question: Yes, I thinking it's justified to have plugins to patch serious exploits and prevent things that crash the server. However, directly punishing players is unacceptable because it's not anarchy anymore. Plugins apply to everyone, which makes it all even. Direct punishments are literally something you'd see in a civilized society and don't belong on 2b2t.
I truly think that the Hausemaster that created the 2 builders 2 tools server and played there isn't the guy who manages the server nowadays anymore. He probably sold his account to someone or with the amount of money he gets from the veteran queues he probably hired a mod to do the job for him
Tb2t is definitely lawful evil. Though you can get away with some pretty questionable things, having rules like "don't crash the server" seems pretty reasonable.
I don't see a difference between the game itself and plugins. They are both software that enforce rules (the game enforces its "physics" and the plugins enforce additional "physics").
The thing is that hacks and exploits are meant to bypass vannila so plugins help enforce people to not use dangerous exploits, the only enforcing against exploits that I know of in vannila is vannila’s very basic anti-fly
i think it is justified for house, to keep the server up in that way. If players could do whatever they want, the server wont be up for anyone and this wouldnt be great. So as long as he is only keeping the server up with those plugins, i think its ok.
Yes it’s justified, he can do whatever he wants since it’s anarchy, and he is doing the right thing by removing lag machines and etc so other people can play
I think Hause has the right to bann/mute people because it is not just anarchy for the players but also for the Admin which means he can do what he wants.

Also, I'd not quote direct democracy like the greek as a partial anarchy, as it was still very far from actual anarchy.
The hierarchy was not from leader to subjects (tho some of the biggest cities of that time did have some kind of leader, tho not in the same way we see it) but from non-slaves male to basically anyone else.
And trust me, I don't want to put anarchy on a bad note, I, myself, would like for a decent anarchy to exist, but for that we'd need to be able to trust everyone's intelligence.
Anarchy doesn't exist, because heirarchy exista in nature and pre-dates the human race, so it's more accurate to say that "What we know as Anarchy is technically called Anomy."

The amount of research and dedication put into this video was insanely impressive, I seriously love the editing too

imo, the ‘no rules’ of an anarchy server apply to things you do in game.

“I would like to thank ... Hausemaster ... for the information, in this video.”

Twobeetwotee
Great video, very based vincent!
