Very sad, but also amazing that these trains are left alone to rot - very bothersome that nothing was done to restore these! Great vid - thanks for sharing!
Nice video my friend. I have explored a few such yards here in the United States. Old Amtrak passenger cars and such. A real treat to climb up into and remember the days when they were proud and moving rather than rotting and still.
You'll need to get your hands on a reverser... one that will fit those locomotives. US diesel locomotive reversers are universal, I believe. You may want to bring some diesel and oil as well. lol
Thank you for the very flattering compliment! It is sincerely appreciated. Absolutely correct! This stuff is junk metal which should be cut apart & melted in the local scrap yard. I think molotov cocktails would do a very nice job on the interiors of these wrecks. If the windows are busted out, it will produce a very nice hot fire. Then these clunkers will be ready for a scrappers torch! If you want them, you purchase them & restore them. Otherwise, when scrapped, people are employed!
How surprising to find a video about belgian trains! There are so many about american ones you could forget there are other places on earth :D Nice video anyway, i've already seen pictures from that place and it always looks so sad when trains are left to die in a forgoten place.. At least some of them are protected by a roof. Any idea if the PFT has in mind to repair some of those? I think i've heard something like that years ago.
woah that is some amazing footagei wish you could just get a train that can pull them to the location you live at and just keep them in mint condition 10/10
@metroliner89= The Gp38 is my favorite locomotive. I remember hearing them back in the glory days of the old Texas Mexican Railway. They sounded beautiful at night.
it looks less like a train depot and more like an abandoned maintinance facility to me due to the maintinance pits in the floor that run almost the entire length of the tracks. quick question were there tracks outside of the facility or did they end right outside? if you ever could get one fixed it wouldnt go far without any tracks would it lol.
Hey, 50 years from now there will probably be another video in the same location, and with the building there the locomotives inside would be recognizable while the locomotives outside will have trees in them, the ones inside, someone could fix up and put it in a museum and it would be an exhibit on one of the oldest running diesel engines, because by that time there would be barely any fuel left, it would all be replaced with alternative methods.
How very strange to leave thousands of pounds worth of equipment laying around. I work on the railways in a depot back here in the UK i am wondering if the company faced bankrupt or a insurance job had taken place at this depot here.
Thanks for your comment, i really apriciate it. Completly agree with you! Thats why most explorers never mention the name of locations, i only ad a real name if location is gone!
PLEASE tell me where these locomotive are, as there are private railways in Australia would jump at the chance of buying some. It would cost at least 1/3rd the price of building a brand new one. Also, if you know the class & age of these loco's and what diesel engines power them, I'd appreciate it. I'd like to rescue a few of them for use in Australia.
Great video but such sadness just being left. They could have been broken for spares. I love the music. BUT .... something is wrong. You have shown faces in this film. Something you said you'd never do 😲😲 So, please explain 😆😆💖😆💖
Fortunately they are already all broken down for spare parts, nothing left there. This video is almost 12 years old, almost nobody watches my videos, let alone those very old ones. The faces that can be seen in it are no longer repressive for now. You see more pixel than human 😆
@slowride55 unless you got a railway line running to your house, it would be a bit difficult. Maybe you could put one under your jumper and walk out with it?
If I can I would run there with all my stuff in the gurage to fix at least one of each class then try to save the other or use the other parts from each class to start them up
Well, they're abandoned because, unfortunately, they can't be run for a profit...and if you're not making a profit, that means that the engine costs more money to run than what it can earn -- so you sideline it until the day comes when it's profitable to run the train again, or you sell it.
To quote you, "this stuff is history". Maybe someone has never told you, but here is your education for today. "History belongs between the pages of a history book!" You got it?
@brigantine1212 Thank you for your critism. at first i had an other soundtrack under this video, that fitted better. but i had to change it due to copyright license. i couldnt choose a good song and i thought silence would be a bit boring....
@TheQwaz How much do you think it costs to transport a locomotive? A museum may not be able to afford the costs for that, the owner may not be able to afford the cost of transporting it to a scrap yard. Why donate or sell to a museum? The number of trains greatly outnumbers the number of museums, would you want every museum to have the same stuff in it?
@mitsucanter247365 Once past their prime they should either be donated/sold to any museum that is interested. If sold, do so at scrap value to keep the monetary strain on said museum to a minimum. Otherwise scrap them, don't just leave them to rot. I'd hate to see them scrapped but, better that than just have them get overgrown and rust away. Over time they become an increasing risk to anyone who finds and explores them on getting hurt. BIG liability issue there. Thats why.
I don't think this was in the states. Looking at the locomotives they have buffers, something that US trains don't have, so i'm guessing a diff country.
Got one of those engines in my garage, it needs a set of pistons, rings and liners, big end shells, gudgeon pins etc. If I send a big fuck off helicopter over to the states could you let the pilot winch it out, I'll sort you out a few quid, or a couple of pints
@mitsucanter247365 (....continued) Just trying to take lemons and make lemonade. But, no matter what is done or not done. It all boils down to cost. Thats why i haven't heard of anything like those units being in a US museum. As i pause and think about it, as big a property as where they were they may still be owned by the Railroad. They might let them sit for many more years then one day, zip, there gone to make beer/soda cans, etc., etc.
These are on some ones land, they are some ones property, if you decide to access there land you are trespassing. if you decide to access items on there land, you are trespassing which could also be seen as criminal damage. you hurt your self - TOUGH

Its not fair to the homeowner but thats how the law works. I agree with the comment and maybe that country would look at it that way too. Just afraid thats a lawsuit waiting to happen. Maybe private tours for a fee? (continued....)
Thanks for this recommodation, Orteca. I just watched it. Many nice greetings to you and Nixzor.
Nice video, but so sad to see these once magnificent engines sit there to rust away.
so sad to see railroad history just rotting away.
Very sad, but also amazing that these trains are left alone to rot - very bothersome that nothing was done to restore these! Great vid - thanks for sharing!

Better than scrap! Nice to see them sitting at least under cover until another day...
Great video with a matching song; it looks like a professional music video.
Thank you for this wonderful video, my friend.
Greentings from Spain.
Gerardo
No matter where in the world it is, that is a sad, sad sight. Hopefully they can be saved.
This video shows very interesting equipment & facilities. Too bad the equipment is in ruins. It should be restored.
That was a great video! I would love to find a place like that to explore!

Wow i would love to see this IRL.
Great vid
Pretty wild how its like everyone just got up and left one day...a place where time stands still.
Lucky you didnt get sprayed by skunks there.. cool video
woah that is some amazing footagei wish you could just get a train that can pull them to the location you live at and just keep them in mint condition 10/10
great video, awesome material! what a find!

Thanks for your comment, i really apriciate it. Completly agree with you!
Thats why most explorers never mention the name of locations, i only ad a real name if location is gone!
That was German Shunting loco's don't relli know how i know that when I live in the uk lol but amazing! just how did u no about that place?
i wounder where i can find train yards like this in surrey bc canada oh
and is this an active train yard ??
PLEASE tell me where these locomotive are, as there are private railways in Australia would jump at the chance of buying some. It would cost at least 1/3rd the price of building a brand new one. @slowride55 unless you got a railway line running to your house, it would be a bit difficult.
Maybe you could put one under your jumper and walk out with it?
I´d give anything to spend an hour there. how did u know that theres that depot?? did anybody tell u or what`?
love the video
The railroad most likely forgot about or they could be damaged beyond repair and they just left them there.
what's the story behind those trains ?
Why they are left to decay ?
How old are thos locomotives and can you find it on google earth
depending on how long they've been there, the fuel is probably bad in them and the batteries are probably drained
Dude where did you film that to
wouldnt you just love it you went through these doors and there was glistening steam engine in steam just waiting for you..!
what kind of trains are those?
What state or coutry was this in?
Where are these at? I wondering if someone could buy them or just take them?
Is their a line hookup? And is where is this place and lastly what are these classes
If I can I would run there with all my stuff in the gurage to fix at least one of each class then try to save the other or use the other parts from each class to start them up

Where is this i want to get one of the trains
Yes they look in runing condition just need a fue things to get them started
To quote you, "this stuff is history".
Maybe someone has never told you, but here is your education for today.
"History belongs between the pages of a history book!"
You got it?
I know these trains. There from Belgium. I remember them when i was young.
i wonder if they will start
must be many millions worth of equipment just rusting away
what a shame
Yes it is Belgium, how do you know that?
cool vid
love scrap them out
big bucks
@brigantine1212 Thank you for your critism. at first i had an other soundtrack under this video, that fitted better.

I'm thinking some where in the UK?
They look like European style locomotives and rolling stock.
What city is this in?
@mitsucanter247365 Once past their prime they should either be donated/sold to any museum that is interested. If sold, do so at scrap value to keep the monetary strain on said museum to a minimum. where is this place?
Sad.
where is this depot, exactly??
where is this
Thanks!
@SUPERBILLIONWON2 its a train, it doesn't have a steering wheel. Thats what the tracks are for.
In most of the African countries those trains would be appreciated as the state of the art technology, as far as they still use steampowered engines
I don't think this was in the states. Looking at the locomotives they have buffers, something that US trains don't have, so i'm guessing a diff country.
where is this?
4:05 be able to make one good Loco out of those redundant loco's
No but it wouldn't take much to get them going again.
no more need to worry about rush hour traffic ever again
Where tge hell are these trains
they look runable
That place used to be electrified but deenergised Is that a fallen flag
@mitsucanter247365 Not considering the owner could have them scrapped on site i see. Just depends on the cost difference between the two options.
freakin intresting wow!
Got one of those engines in my garage, it needs a set of pistons, rings and liners, big end shells, gudgeon pins etc. If I send a big fuck off helicopter over to the states could you let the pilot winch it out, I'll sort you out a few quid, or a couple of pints
i would lay down tracks from my house to my school and my friends houses
thatd be great
FIX THE TRAINZ AND RUN DOWN THE TRACKS WITH AWESOMENESS
it really is a "painful" death
@mitsucanter247365 (....continued) Just trying to take lemons and make lemonade. But, no matter what is done or not done. It all boils down to cost. Very true
(Too Obvious?) Lots of steel there that should be put to use;
Scrap them!
Why? :(
@sandman19681012
Thanks for your comment m8.
Que criminal esto, un acto de corrupción total
what with the price of scrap metal today you could assume these trains are no more.
or you could say built by man and then left by man...sad...
hell yeah
These are on some ones land, they are some ones property, if you decide to access there land you are trespassing. if you decide to access items on there land, you are trespassing which could also be seen as criminal damage. you hurt your self - TOUGH
I find the song suits this.........
@brigantine1212
the music fits perfectly I think.
y would they abandon all those trains?
i would love to repair them and get them running again
who's with me?
Its in Belgium :D
1:07 looks photoshopped in haha
See you cant say these are abandond because someone still owns them.
@mitsucanter247365 It may not matter in the country that this was filmed but in the sue happy US of A it would be under the same premise as if someone sneaks in to swim in someones pool, they get hurt or even drown and its the homeowner who get sued.
