I am sorry to say that I have never ridden on a train. However, I am spiritually attached to the sound of a train. Ten years ago, as I was recovering from open heart surgery, the first sound I became aware of was the train that ran next to the hospital I was in. I always feel that it welcomes me back to life. Such a comfort!
Trains are awesome! If you're in most countries in Europe you can take a train almost anywhere and sooooo easily, so I'd guess that's not where you are, but who knows? If so, hop on a train! They're easy and fun! 😉 I don't know about other areas in North America but if you're in the US, you really need to take a trip on Amtrak. Even the coach is great, lots of room. Sleeping car was fine the one time I did it during COVID but I'd only shell out that money again if I was doing a several day train trip, cause coach has plenty of room for just the overnights I do to visit family (or for a single day trip). I don't know anything about train systems in countries in South America or Asia or Africa or Australia.
I saw a study years ago, that mentioned the use of virtual reality in burn patients in hospital. I remember getting up at about 3 in the morning and feeling a deep excitement and the feeling of adventure flooding all my being. I even dreamed of a Train station being abandoned and dusty and all the locomotives were covered up with dust blankets. And In my dream I closed my eyes and when I opened them the train station was alive and a golden light was shining through the arched windows beaming down on the trains, which were alive and steam coming out of the chimneys and side pistons. I woke up to my mum waking me. I was 6 years old and I remember the dream vividly. Scotland looked just like this video and they were the first mountains I had ever seen. I never imagined something could be so immense and big and I had a longing to climb one and see from heights of the world. I now live in Scotland 🏴 thank you Babybouy ☺️

Rocking in my bed with the rhythm of the train....pretty soon I will be snoring too! Zzzzzzzzzzzz....my perfect nights sleep...thank you Bababouy for giving me this!
We are on the night train again! Dogs are cuddled in, the storm is howling! Full bellies again! The dining car had lots of meat scraps and made a special dinner for my girls! Beef stroganoff with lots of sour cream for Mommy, and a hot chocolate. The feeling, when you know you are safe, hearing the girls contentedly snoring , storm raging around you...priceless! Now to close my eyes, feel the rocking of the train, listen to my girls snore and drift off to a peaceful sleep.....zzzzzzzžž...night all

Amberfox01... We are on the night train to wherever you want to go! Tonight we are in Norway, travelling to above the Arctic Circle! The wind is howling and snow blowing all around us. Padding down the narrow hallway in my slippers, going with the rocking of the train. Hear some of my train mates snoring as I head to the dining car. The chef is there, reading a book, lifting her head as she sees me coming through the door. "So glad you came! I made you something special! "She hands me a steaming hot bowl of what looks like macaroni and cheese. It's lobster Mac and cheese, with soft pillows of gnocchi, cheesy sauce and big chunks of lobster! I have died and gone to heaven I think as I savour every bite! No hot chocolate tonight, this is so filling and rich! She is the best chef in the world, I think as I head back to the cabin. Doggies still snoring, slip into bed without them knowing I was even gone! Drifting off to a sound sleep, rocked by the movement of the train, dreams of waking up at the Arctic Circle!
Ordered dinner in tonight, can hardly wait! Tonight we are on the trans Siberian express train. It is very cold and snowy and blowy out there, but I don't care! We are cozy and warm in our cabin. Curtains open to see the frigid winters ape outside, while snuggling with my girls under a cozy fleece blanket. The knock on the door tells me it is supper time! As I open the door, the delicious smells excite me! A small cart, overloaded with food is left beside my bed. A plate of so many different sliced meats, cheeses and pickled vegetables is the first one uncovered. The second one is a bowl of French onion soup, with melted cheese floating on a raft of bread , still steaming from the oven. Then the entree, fresh salmon with a maple glaze sitting pretty on top of steamed asparagus, new potatoes and a slice of lemon. Sliced peaches with a sprinkling of crushed ginger crisps for dessert. The last lid I lift is a plate with 2 meaty short rib bones for my girls....what a feast to behold! It may take us all night to finish this, but that's ok...we have 2 weeks to enjoy this journey. Saying good night now, because I may fall sound asleep after this dinner is done. Rocking with the train cabin locked, dogs busy with their bones, enjoying this delicious feast in my fuzzy, warm pajamas... Sleep coming very soon.

To anybody reading this, I pray that whatever is hurting you or whatever you are constantly stressing about gets better. May the dark thoughts, the overthinking, and the doubt exit your mind may clarity replace confusion. may peace and calmness fill your life.
Clarity is what caused my hopelessness and pessimism, as well as suicidal ideation. Self awareness is typically a good thing, until it starts to become existential and the absurdity of life creeps in, planting roots, sprouting, spreading and looming over my head right next to my dread and desire to no longer exist. I pity those like me, and envy those who dont know what it’s like

I had a winter camping experience in Minnesota that reminds me of this video. I was at a primitive campsite miles from nowhere, but on the other side of the lake where I had made camp was a freight line. Tains passed fairly regularly, and the sound of their movement was muffled by the heavy snow that fell through the day and evening. It created a ghostly ambience that was deeply affecting. Your video brings back that memorable experience.
This was pretty much my life by Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. A frosty -40 degrees and listening to the sound of the wind blowing across the fields (which you can hear from inside your house) and the common train made you feel so cold, but at the same time, you were cozy under covers.
Thank you so much. As a little girl seventy years ago, I rode the train from Oakland to Portland, alone, met a wonderful woman who chatted with me for hours. Of late I've not slept well, but last night with this rhythm of the tracks, I fell deeply asleep.
As a little girl 74yrs ago I road the B & O…WWII had ended & the young service men were traveling home! They looked after me, sharing their stack of comic books, making sure I had a sandwich & a drink! We were just kids wondering what the world would bring into our lives! They smiled but their eyes reflected some of the horrors they had seen!
I ride this train every night in my sleep. It always takes me to my childhood bedroom. I often heard howling blizzards and the regular trains coming by. I tried sleeping to rain and went right back to my night train! Thank you
During this lockdown I have not traveled on a train for 5 months. I used to travel at least thrice every month before the lockdown. Thanks for sharing such a nice video.
It's almost 40 celcus outside now where I live and I don't like the heat. Watching this vidio makes me want to be inside that train looking out the drivers window or being in a old cabin beside the train tracks with some hot coffee and a wood fire to watch for hours. I don't think life could get any better than that. Thanks for the grate vidio.
In my school days, as younger girl in faraway Siberia, every sumner brake, I would get on the train and head to my aunts/ grandmas for the sumner.... five hours and you are there. One of my best memories. 😸
I don't really watch it at all. I just turn it on, shut my eyes and imagine I'm on a train with snow falling outside, traveling to the Alps or somewhere in Canada, or anywhere where there might be a train running in a beautiful winter wonderland. I'm usually asleep within five minutes. Love it ! Thank you so much. ❄️ ❄️ ❄️ 😴
I LOVE this, I could watch this train in the snow at night, non stop. I want to be ON IT. Beautiful, relaxing and love the sounds the train makes, thank you for posting it, from NYC.
This music is now my self therapy music I play this with headphones on and imagine myself as a freight Train engineer in Siberia delivering supplies to far flung military bases and villages while I chat about my day with my imaginary Co-engineer Nikolai
Grew up with train sounds. Childhood, then as a teenager when I left home, then in my 20’s on up. Very blessed to have this sound my whole life!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
For 30 plus years my Auntie and Unk lived on a hill in the middle of nowhere with railroad tracks running beside it. The tracks were so close the house shook when the trains passed. They were so loud it was alarming. My Uncle was a former Pony Express rider and a retired railroad Conductor. I grew up with that sound and it was as precious to me as my Auntie and Uncle were. To this day the soundof a train brings me a deep sense of peace contentment. Thank you for sharing your video with us. 🧡 (I used to go to Texas from St Louis by train for summer vacations as well. Train rides back then in the 60's were pretty rough! ☺️)
We would go from Texas to St. Louis to see grandma. I love the sound of trains except every time they honk I think of Sheldon Cooper. That’s funny. Hello from Texas. Merry Christmas
Когда я путешествовала поездами,то мне открывался вид только со стороны пассажира,благодаря этому видео я впервые чувствую себя машинистом поезда.Это прекрасная возможность, ещё раз благодарю автора❤
I can't believe this is real. It's so incredibly comforting and slightly scary at the same time. Thank you for exposing me to a place that I can't travel to ❤ This is so amazing to be able to put on while trying to relax in todays world.
You scored with this one, anyone who likes the sounds of a train, it’s horn, the wind and the constant real footage out front will love this !! And it is long !! Good luck to anyone staying awake on this train, congratulations, this one is my favorite !! Norway !!👍🏻🌬🌨
The sound of the train brings back so many fond memories. The longest train trip I've ever taken was from Cincinnati to Chicago to Denver on what was called the Denver Zephyr. My grandmother lived one block from the train tracks, and I loved listening to the train when it passed through. I remember many train trips between Detroit to Cincinnati growing up. I never did like going by Greyhound. Enjoyed the train more. Thanks for the memories.
This brings back wonderful memories of riding across the U.S. on Amtrak during some of the worst weather ever seen in Minnesota/North Dakota/Montana/Idaho.
I've never been on an Amtrak west of Denver but my many trips between Denver and New York saw storms like this. I'm thinking of one in particular where the snow outside Chicago in the 80's was so deep that the tracks had to be dug manually at a couple of intersections. We were delayed like crazy but we were all in the same boat..train people. I love them!
@@katherinechrist-janer5636 The time that I’m talking about was shortly before Christmas 1990, and we took Amtrak from Little Rock, Arkansas to Chicago, then from Chicago to Spokane, Washington. We reversed the trip about two weeks later. It was so cold in North Dakota (-60F) the brakes on several cars froze, and we had to change cars in the middle of the night. Water froze in the sink drains, etc., and it was a whole experience, but I would definitely repeat it!
I've never been on a train once in my whole life, never even thought of traveling by a train.. however...this video REALLY makes me want to give it go.. love it
Trains are rolling "time machines". They don't take you into the future ..but they have this amazing ability to make you feel like you're traveling thru a time gone by. I worked for a railroad right out of HS starting in the fall of 1970. It was the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad and its mainline went from Denver, Colorado to Salt Lake City, Utah. It went thru the heart of the Rockie Mountains. I'm familiar with trains winding their way thru mountains along a frozen river in a blizzard..going thru solid granite tunnels.. and over high wooden trestles. Everything about the RR felt old to me. You should take a 3 or 4 day trip on a train some day. Spend the extra time train travel takes to get to a destination. Its worth the extra cost to get you a comfortable berthing on the train and just enjoy the ride. The wheels clickity clacking and the gentle swaying and rocking of the car will put you to sleep like a baby. Haha. Take care friend and if you go.. have a good time. 🚂 🚃 🚃 🚃
Some friends and I used to take the Amtrack from Anahiem, Ca. to the Mexican border, cross the border and take taxis all over the place in Tijuana. That was back in the early 80s and it cost about $45 round trip. Didnt have to worry about DUIs or anything. I dont think Id go there for free now.
In the town where I live theres a train and you can hear the muffled sound of it running from far away! It's very soothing, and reminds me of being awake at night as a child listening to it. Thanks for uploading!
I moved from my hometown which became a million spoiled little yapping dogs to a beautifully peaceful town with the romantic lull of trains off in the distance lulling me to sleep nightly. Even though I sometimes reminisce of how idyllic my hometown once was, I am so grateful for my new home and the peace it gives me.
It's a scene of a train traveling on a snowy railroad. The sound of a train running on a railroad with only snow piled up is also good to hear. It sounds like a comforting sound for the body and mind tired of the day's work. Thank you for sharing the good video.
Similar to me. In my comfortable bed, resting aching tired body, winding down and some of my cats are around me, sleeping. This long train journey will be an extra comfort.
Trains are just Wonderfully old fashioned and they give me peace and a slight fear! I LOVE TRAINS ALWAYS! This is perfect for falling asleep to that magical RYTHUM! XO
You have hit on the two best sounds that make people fall asleep, which is "a Train going over a Wooden Train Track, and the sound of Any Kind of Rain." I found that I fall asleep almost instantly when I hear these two wonderful comforting sounds. Thank you for that, and also for making it last for 8 wonderful hours.
It's been weeks since I've written a story I'm satisfied with, and today I finally hunkered down, put this on in the background, and mustered up the energy to sit down and crank out the first chapter of my newest project. I'm really happy with it so far, and I'm gonna try to write more tomorrow. Thank you for this video, it really helps me relax and focus 💜
Man that disengage suicide silence I can hear that playing , while you're on this train , the train is flying heading towards an unknowing end🕳️ which will be~🤔 inevitable silence 🤐☠️👀
During this lockdown I have not traveled on a train for 5 months. I used to travel at least thrice every month before the lockdown. Thanks for sharing such a nice video.
In the middle of nowhere, in the middle of the night, in the snow storm. This is kind of freaky but also relaxing at the same time. I love trains in the snow storm specially at night.
I grew up on top of a hill. Train tracks ran along the bottom of the valley below, about a mile or so away. This was a developed area and the tracks ran behind a shopping center with our local Walmart (until around 1990 when it moved across town). At night, especially of the wind was right you could hear the long long freight trains. Especially pleasant in winter when I was in my warm bed.
I've been up for 20 hrs and I have to be back up in 2 hrs, but I've been having SUCH insomnia restlessness lately. Somehow I had a feeling that flutes would help to soothe me, but this video was even better than I expected. The music and reason are perfectly gentle and balanced so there's no startling dynamic changes, and the background scenery is beautiful and relaxing as well, so soft and still and comforting. As soon as I turned this on I felt the bodily tension and frantic thoughts melt away into perfect peace. My eyes are already closing. Thank you so much for this good medicine 🙏💜
There is something about a train which helps my heart. It is its own heartbeat. At seventy one I live in a perfect place. My front door is around one hundred feet from the track. It is not overly busy, but we are next to a successful line that serves a quarry. Also has a weekend passenger ride in powered by a forties diesel. We are waiting patiently for the return of our steam engine, currently in the midst of a decade + long restoration. Life is good, as long as we have the trains.
It takes me back to the womb - hearing the mama’s heartbeat, the whooshing of the blood through the vessels, the gurgling of digestion, hearing the muffled sounds of mama’s voice & motions. No thinking. Just floating, gradually becoming aware of being along for the ride. Safe. Thank you for this. ❤
I swear, people that give this a thumbs down don’t make sense to me... It’s a video of a cab view, conductor, engineer, etc., on a moving train, during the winter with weather of strong winds, perhaps blowing snow presented as a relaxing sleep inducing presentation. What part don’t they like?! I find it perfect and have used it to nap and sleep and it’s perfect. 👍🏻👍🏻
This reminds me of the movie polar express. But with beautiful shades of grey. Today was hot as hell. And watching this now makes me chill out so much. Thank you for uploading and thank you for making it 8 hours
Thank you so much. I love listening to train noises but other people put adds in and it wakes me up in the middle of the night. With this video I sleep so well
There are certain ' comfort ' sounds and looks in this world. This is one of them ( replace train with candle and fireplace cabin is another). I'm certainly drawn to those Hollywood settings with the crackling fire And snow drift windows in a blizzard. I'm questioning the close caption button on this !? Lol😂
A beautiful landscape covered with white snow and outside all silent except the noice of the train. I like the saisons and the nature. Thks for this documentary. Pls the next in Autumn
Yes, I think I am of the same mind. It's why I was searching for something with wind and snow. I had been listening to rain and thunder for quite a while when I realized that it wasn't as comforting as the sound of a blizzard. The train only adds to the satisfying sound.
Best sleeping music ever. If you haven't traveled by train, you definitely should do it and get a sleeper room, it's awesome, best way to travel! Thanks, Bababouy, Cheers!
I remember using the night sleepers between Scotland and London. The best rail experience with a nice restaurant car dinner too. I don't think that service runs any more.

And even examining your cured head as you rest might reveal something otherwise overlooked.

Nice thoughts, thank you.
Interesting. Thanks and enjoy. 😊
Where in Minnesota was it? Sounds magical!!
Let Me guess, the North woodlands of Minnesota?
This was pretty much my life by Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. A frosty -40 degrees and listening to the sound of the wind blowing across the fields (which you can hear from inside your house) and the common train made you feel so cold, but at the same time, you were cozy under covers.
I live in Minnesota.
Thank you so much. As a little girl seventy years ago, I rode the train from Oakland to Portland, alone, met a wonderful woman who chatted with me for hours. Of late I've not slept well, but last night with this rhythm of the tracks, I fell deeply asleep.

The sound of the train brings back so many fond memories. The longest train
trip I've ever taken was from Cincinnati to Chicago to Denver on what was
called the Denver Zephyr. My grandmother lived one block from the train
tracks, and I loved listening to the train when it passed through. I remember
many train trips between Detroit to Cincinnati growing up. I never did like
going by Greyhound. Enjoyed the train more. Thanks for the memories.

This brings back wonderful memories of riding across the U.S. on Amtrak during some of the worst weather ever seen in Minnesota/North Dakota/Montana/Idaho.
Thanks for sharing. 😊
I've never been on a train once in my whole life, never even thought of traveling by a train.. however...this video REALLY makes me want to give it go.. love it
Enjoy. 😊
Me too , I agree ☕🧁
Me too.
I love this so much. Since it's 8 hours I can put it on, and since I almost instantly fall asleep, it's a perfect sleep clock.

I grew up on top of a hill. Train tracks ran along the bottom of the valley below, about a mile or so away. This was a developed area and the tracks ran behind a shopping center with our local Walmart (until around 1990 when it moved across town). It is not overly busy, but we are next to a successful line that serves a quarry. Also has a weekend passenger ride in powered by a forties diesel. We are waiting patiently for the return of our steam engine, currently in the midst of a decade + long restoration. Life is good, as long as we have the trains.
