I don’t know man, I dropped my vokeys for MG4 and it was the best move ever. I’m mostly TM, but I do have a Titleist driver, Scotty putters for life, and a ping 3 iron. QI10 3 and 7 wood and 790 irons. Obviously you can’t go wrong with Titleist, but I truly believe people that tried mg4 wedges would fall in love
Right now it seems like Ping for me. I'm about to replace 20 yr old clubs over the winter and I'm going to go get fitted at 2nd swing. As I was browsing/ pricing everything out Ping seemed to be a common theme.
1. Titleist - 14 clubs and the ball. Use mostly Titleist now anyway 2. Cobra is a good call as well. 3. Wilson - New Dynapower Carbon driver, Wilson Staff irons and balls are way underrated IMO
There’s no other answer but Titleist. You get Scotty Cameron, Vokey wedges, the most underrated line of irons in the game and their drivers are incredible and they don’t look like an eight-year-old colored with them with a crayon. And they have the top ball in Golf if that matters
always gna be ping for me. great metal woods, large iron selection these days, plenty of wedge options, putter isnt my fav but cant really go wrong with the building blocks of most plans inventory either
Callaway - Great drivers, FW, Apex 200 AI irons, Opus wedges. Their customer service is tops, an amazing trade-in program. Ping, TaylorMade close seconds. Titleist are great, but ask any pro, or shop who is the hardest to deal with, who is most full of themselves and hard to get support - Titleist. Good news it’s hard to buy bad equipment. But it’s easy to get poor support and customer service.
1. Callaway - Always loved the drivers, have used an Odyssey putter forever, and the wedges are great now. 2. Mizuno - Currently game irons and could easily find something in their lineup I could use everywhere. EXCLUDED 1. Ping - Honestly aside from wedges (which are fine), I have never got along with ANY Ping clubs I've tried 2. Titleist - Can't stand the look of their woods/drivers
Titleist. In my opinion, no other Brand is even close. Balls, woods, hybrids, irons, wedges, putters. Bags. Accessories. Footjoy shoes. Apparel. Everything. No other brand is even remotely close.
Killing me. PXG Black Ops fairway woods are best clubs they make IMO. Hard topic, but I’d pick PXG assuming I could find a putter I like. Titleist is number two, but not a fan of their irons.
I play PXG with a sprinkle of Taylormade (MiniBRNR + SpiderTourPutter), I went on vacation and had a full Titleist setup and hit the ball so pure and clean I came home and started shopping Titleist immediately.
💯 Titleist: Gt2 driver/woods, t150/200 combo set, sm10 wedges and Newport 2 putter. But mixing is still the best! Currently in the bag: Paradym driver, stealth 3 wood and hybrid, Mizuno flihi 4 driving iron and 245pro irons sm10 wedges and Newport 2 putter.
So Tony wouldn’t play Titleist because he’s not keen on Scotty and goes for Cobra. Find that really odd that out of the whole Scotty range he can’t find a putter that he can get on with. Meantime apart from the woods, he goes on to say that he doesn’t love the Cobra stuff but it’s not exclusionary. Bizarre imo. Titleist Ping Mizuno TaylorMade Callaway Srixon PXG Cobra. In that order.
Titleist for sure including ball , right now I am driver, wood, hybrid titleist , PXG hybrid, mizuno irons , SM9 wedges and Scotty putter. Second would be taylormade , they suit me pretty well but looks and quality go to titleist when I compare the two.
If I were to play one brand of golf clubs, the answer would be Ping. As an aside, I do play all Ping in my current bag although not the same model or year of manufacture.
Taylormade easily. Primarily their woods. Their shapes fit my eye better than all Others (except the Qi10 Max ). Don't like tbe looks or shapes of Pings woods and most of the Titleists and their irons offsets and sole grinds. Plus the TM wedges have become world class. Solid utilities.
It’s Titleist atm for me - I have t150 and t200 combo set , sm10’s and a Scotty and am looking at the gt3 driver soon I think it goes in runs for golf companies - few years ago I would have picked Taylormade and would not touch a Titleist driver
If I had to go one brand, not including ball would be easy. Taylormade or Callaway. Namely from Apex CB/P770 2022 irons and putters (JuneTP or Odyssey Blade).
I prob would do a whole bag with PXG. But TM would be an easy choice for me as well. Every other brand has extreme exclusions for me. Exclusion are as follows. Cobra-irons, Titlest-Putters, Ping- Driver (hate Turbulators), Mizzuno-putter, Callaway-irons.
If you look at Lydia's bag & she's a free agent. Except wedges & putter - she's all Ping. Driver, Fw, Hyb & irons. That says alot about Ping. Mind you Fitzy used to use Ping now he's mainly Titleist
Thought it would be Ping but TaylorMade might take it even though I haven't played a TM driver since SLDR. Fairways are top tier, P7CB and P7TW would be a dream combo, Hi-Toe wedges are sweet and Scotty's Spider Proto is a battle-tested beauty.
Might be different given age or handicap of the player. I’m 67 and I’m currently playing Callaway at top and Cobra Forged Tech irons, Snakebite Wedges and 3D printed putter. I’d switch to Cobra if I had to choose one. I could figure out the top of the bag easier than the bottom of the bag.
Srixon/Cleveland should count. Srixon woods are underrated and they're due for an update soon. Srixon zx mkII series irons are top notch. Cleveland wedges are amongst the best. Love the Huntington Beach series putters. Can't play Callaway because they turned the apex line into ugly, game improvement irons.
I would go PXG for the simple reason that if you are on an improvement arc where you are lowering your scores and improving your swing mechanics, AND you like to tinker, I think PXG is the most user-friendly with their universal weights that work in every hybrid, fairway and driver (and putter) that they sell. Getting the optional weight kit (or two) allows for the kind of change and tweaks you need to do to your equipment that would probably send a lot of golfers back to a fitter for even more club purchases. I'm speaking from experience at the long end of the bag, so I'm biased but I'm also really benefitting from the above. I have the 4 wood black ops and it's baller. I can quickly change it from high launching into a low spinning club with a quick shift of weighting, depending on the course I'm playing or wind conditions. I don't have to pick between different head types (low spin, forgiving, high launching), I just adjust the weights to get what I want. Like Tony said, the hybrids are freaking amazing and I'm always getting compliments from the shots I pull off with them. And unless you are going with their entry level long clubs, all of them have adjustable hostels which is not the case with a lot of manufacturers cutting costs with bonded shafts into the head. I hate that. If you are single digit I doubt you care but it's so beneficial for the break-90 and 80 crowd.
Taylormade driver issues kinda disqualifies them because of driver quality issues last few years. And I say this as a Taylormade fan. They just haven’t been on their game since original sim
Too easy…Titleist is the only choice. The drivers are fantastic - new GT’s are crazy long and forgiving; the irons are the class of the field; who doesn’t want vokey wedges? And Scotty Cameron, cmon, man. Absolute baller bag.
Driver will always be the hardest club to hit haha im playing a 2004 cleveland titanium 3 wood and i hit straighter and make better contact with that than my rogue st driver
Cobra for me. Only thing I haven’t tried from Cobra are the wedges and putters. But if other clubs are any indication those are probably great too. Best bang for the buck.
TaylorMade for me. Already there in the top-end of the bag (Qi10 driver with Sim2 Max fairway woods), and bottom of the bag (Hi-Toe 4 wedges, 54 and 58) and now trying out the S.Sheffler Spider X L putter. I could figure out the hybrid and irons (likely a combo of 770s and 790s) although the Srixon ZX5s are tough to beat! Fun topic, guys. I wouldn't play Mizuno because of its woods line-up.
I wold be playing Taylormade in a 14 club bag. I'm already playing mostly Taylormade, except putter and 5 to Pw. I probably wouldn't play Titleist, unless ball was required, as I didn't hit their irons well a few years ago, but that might be different with more recent releases and much better swing.
For me it’s Mizuno with Cobra #2 and Titleist #3. If I had a chance to try the Blueprint S irons and liked them Ping would go near the top. Then the question is, do Cleveland wedges count as Srixons? Funny how things are different for each of us. Unlike Tony I absolutely love Ping fairway woods and Callaway Jaws wedges. Of course I don’t get to try all the brands like the MGS guys do.
I have two sets of irons, Ping I- 525s and Mizuno Pro 225s ... Callaway woods.... Volkey Wedges, and a L.A.B DF3. If I had two play one set of clubs it would be Pings, they are just good from top to bottom. So that's my choice of manufacturer.
If I had to go with a single brand for all things golf . . . . Titleist. Option would be Callaway, Wilson, Taylormade, whichever fits better. (gotta get fit right?) I would Center around the irons. I would have picked Ping for B except they don't have a Ball. It would be hard to give up my Ping DS-72 PLD to go somewhere else. I currently have Titleist Irons, Titleist driver and 3W, Callaway UW, Taylormade SW and Callaway LW, Ping Putter. I play a ProV1. Question - If the Airlines lost your clubs and gave you a reimbursement check, what clubs that were in your bag would you change?
Mizuno, irons 10/10, putter 8/10, wedges 10/10, Driver 8/10, only carry 5 wood 8/10. I can give up 6 yards off the tee. Almost anyone’s putter will not change your outcome once you pick the shape and hosel turn. They all have similar models. Close second Ping again give up a little off the tee but bring in more fairways, irons and wedges great, putter like everybody else’s. Baggers are the worst. We all know several that put in 5 crap scores in 8 days before the tournament to increase handi by 3. Or the guy that carries a 24 handi and shoots an 81 then has the nerve to give a speech while accepting the trophy.
Srixon...you get Cleveland wedges and the new Never Compromise putters. They are all under the same umbrella, and they make the best irons right now for me.
Just saying by definition if you play one brand through the bad they have to make a ball too. I was saying this somewhat jokingly cause I know they didn’t mean to be that strict.
It’s Titleist. And not a close second. Sm10, GT3, Scotty, T-150, X5.
@@atamagashock Mizuno T24 wedges are superior to all.
Not to mention ProV1 / x

And if you guys wanted me to test anything since im replacing my whole set, I'm certainly open to that 👀
Ping. Easily. There’s a lot of Cleveland/Srixon stuff that i like but idk about their woods and driver.
cant ever go wrong with Ping
100% Titleist. That's basically my bag now minus a Ping putter but I'll put a Scotty in there no questions asked.
Same, except for my Stealth 3 wood. Love my Ping Anser PLD but would easily replace with a Scotty as well
1. Titleist - 14 clubs and the ball. Use mostly Titleist now anyway

Titleist.
It would be Titleist or Taylormade. But Titleist would be the main choice. The “twist face” tech doesn’t suit me. Just gross 🤢
😂
Killing me. PXG Black Ops fairway woods are best clubs they make IMO. Hard topic, but I’d pick PXG assuming I could find a putter I like. Titleist is number two, but not a fan of their irons.
Pxg woods are so good. Honestly pxg could easily be a pick
I play PXG with a sprinkle of Taylormade (MiniBRNR + SpiderTourPutter), I went on vacation and had a full Titleist setup and hit the ball so pure and clean I came home and started shopping Titleist immediately.
Definitely Ping. Callaway is in the no go category. Too much offset on most of their clubs and can't stand Odyssey. I've tried to like them.
Taylormade
Mizuno. I will have to mizuno

For $1M I’ll play any brand D to ball. I am too crappy of a player and too broke to be picky. 🤷🏼♂️
Been taylormade fan for years
Had all the best of 2014
Now its super cheap sticks and its gross
Im now TITLEIST
Titleist for sure including ball , right now I am driver, wood, hybrid titleist , PXG hybrid, mizuno irons , SM9 wedges and Scotty putter. Second would be taylormade , they suit me pretty well but looks and quality go to titleist when I compare the two.
Top to bottom of the bag, especially irons and wedges; it's Titleist.
Titleist naming schemes are so bad im a junkie and have no idea what is new or old.
If I were to play one brand of golf clubs, the answer would be Ping. As an aside, I do play all Ping in my current bag although not the same model or year of manufacture.
Titleist and has been for decades imo.
Ben Hogan Golf
Taylormade easily. Primarily their woods. Their shapes fit my eye better than all Others (except the Qi10 Max ). Don't like tbe looks or shapes of Pings woods and most of the Titleists and their irons offsets and sole grinds. Plus the TM wedges have become world class. Solid utilities.

Hogan for irons for sure, but a full set. Not sure about.
I started playing about 3 years ago, and I chose Cobra.
Good choice. Awesome clubs.
I already play one brand and it's Mizuno! ST max D and 3wd, Fli Hi 3hyb, JPX 923 Pro irons, S23 wedges...wouldn't change a thing!
Mizuno putter? They’re pretty good.
ping

SUB70. Easy. I have slowly kept buying a whole set- 4-G 699 V1, TAIII 56, 4 wood, and 3 hybrid. Just need that new driver to drop!

I give ZERO fuks about what brand is in my bag. If i can hit it consistently it goes in..
Edit-so titleist:)
One brand? Mizuno
My current bag is :
Cobra LTDx driver/woods & Stingray putter
Mizuno JPX irons & T24 wedges
I’m shopping an OMOI
Ping …. And I only have ping irons …but driver, woods, irons, wedges, putter .. it’s ping

Right now I'd go Taylormade over Titleist because of the driver
Taylormade driver issues kinda disqualifies them because of driver quality issues last few years. And I say this as a Taylormade fan. They just haven’t been on their game since original sim
I would have to base it on the putter, which would be PXG with the Allan!
Taylormade but I can hit the ball equally terrible with any brand.
Titleist just for the irons, wedges, and ball. Woods are just there lol
Callaway ❤ they own odyssey so for me great putters as well.
I play all Callaway!!!
Ping - Tour Edge - PXG -Taylormade
From top to bottom for a 12 cap like me it’s PXG.
Talyormade for me. From top to bottom they perform.

Mizuno

I won’t play LAB bc they don’t have any clubs besides putters
I have been Titlist full bag from 2008 and lam 62 years now . Gust up date to new full bag G T Woods iron S m 10 and putter painter black
Cobra is a hot freakin’ take through the WHOLE bag. Titleist is a runaway answer for me and it’s not even close…
If we're including ball then it's Titleist and only Titleist. Wilson could be an option if they sorted their driver offering.

Cobra for me. Only thing I haven’t tried from Cobra are the wedges and putters. But if other clubs are any indication those are probably great too.
