    Hi! UA-cam has deleted a lot of comments automatically from this video, I don't know why, but don't be surprised if yours doesn't show up!
    That being said I'd like to hear how you ended up here and any feedback is welcome. Thanks for watching!

      Hey man I'm gonna go to lowes or home depot tommorow to get everything I need to start building my glove.. do u have a list of supplies I need to get? Like what kind gauge steel sheet copper and steel and which gauge copper pipe? What kind of rivets? Etc..

    • @GarageKnight
      @GarageKnight  3 роки тому

      @@dylanjewell6512 Of course, here's what I used:
      - Wells Lamont Men's Cowhide Leather Work Gloves with Adjustable Wrist Strap
      - Copper plate 1,25 mm, I think that's 18 gauge in US. Check the templates to see how much you need (templates are in A4 format)
      - Saw blades
      - Silver solder sticks (and a blowtorch)
      - Leather rivets, like the ones in the video which you can sqeeze/hammer together
      - Roofing nails, for the handplate because I ran out of leather rivets
      - Metal epoxy glue
      I'm not from US, so I can't tell the exact product names, but I hope these help!

      @@GarageKnight i didnt understand the comma being used. i confused decimal point place with mm. i believe 1.5mm is equal to 1/16th of an inch so 1.25 would be just shy of 1/16th , but 1/16th is close enough. 0.049 is 3/64ths if that makes sense, and just shy of 1/16th. thanks again , i hope this makes sense and i am looking forward to trying to make this.

      Ah, yes we use comma to separate decimals. 0,25 mm means 1/4th of a mm. So 1,25 is 1 millimiter plus 1/4th of a millimeter. And the numbers are always divisible by 10 or 100 or 1000 etc. 10 mm is 1 cm, 100 cm is 1 meter, 1000 m (meter) is one kilometer and so on. And you use comma and decimals if you want to tell the fractions of a unit. Anyway hope the video helped you and have fun building!

      @@GarageKnight WellsLamont shared your video, and I'm part of an embarrassingly nerdy community that replicates the ElmStreet film gloves to OCD levels. The vintage WL1178 glove is coveted as part of authentic builds for some movie variants, and we sure would like to see it come back in a near-vintage form. I was shouting into the void more at WL than you.. sorry :D
