- This khutbah was recorded at the Bayyinah Foundation Musalla on Oct. 27, 2017.
In the Quran, Allah uses two words to refer to anger: ghaydh and ghadab. While ghaydh describes rage that is brewing inside the heart, ghadab means anger that lashes out, unrestrained. Allah teaches us that in some cases anger can be overwhelming and justified. In Surah Al-Fath, revealed after Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) signed the Treaty of Hudaybiyah, his companions refused to obey him at first. However, they did so calmly at a moment of extreme frustration. Yet Allah does not reprimand them; on the contrary He praises them for their restraint. In one hadith, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) compares anger to a lump of burning coal that scorches all the goodness we have in our hearts. It is a disease that, if uncontained, will take away our peace of mind. We must never let anger overtake us because it is the work of shaytan.
When my dad used to get angry, he used to take it all on me. Verbally and physically. I am 16 now and yet this continues. I feel as if nothing will make him happy. I hope that allah makes life easy for me and make me understand why this is happenings

I am so sorry that you're going through this. I pray that Allah heals your situation and protects you from harm physically, mentally or verbally. I was going through really tough time almost every day, month to month, and I felt depressed. Two very dear people told me to read Baqarah every single day and shaytaan will not come near the person/place that baqarah is read upon. If you cannot read it, please listen to it everyday. Inshallah Allah will help you with your concerns.

Hi Kawsar I will pray for you and make dua I was in the same situation as you and it was both of my parents because they both have addiction problems but god makes things better you have to keep praying and remembering Allah

I have major anger issues to the point where i was even going to seek for professional help.
I always seek Allah’s help and Alhamduli’Allah i feel peace but i wanted something more to keep me calm or help with it.
But after watching this video, all i need to do is contain myself and keep being patient and always do Istighfar and Dua’a.

I wish Ustad Nouman Ali Khan were my uncle. I'm having anger problem since the age of 13. Now I'm 17 and trying a lot to control my anger. Nouman Ali is a very good guide for the youngsters. Let's try to follow the footsteps of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (sm) like this and surely we r gonna shine.

Also, the Prophet said that women will move in ways that will seduce men, and today there is a very disguising movement: twerking, and other forms of movement. Indeed there are many more signs of the end. Now you might reply with: "Why would these be signs of the end anyway?" I'll tell you. Because at this point, the world will be so corrupted that the righteous people cannot revert the evil ones. You might now be asking, "why are you telling me this junk if you can't change the 'evil'?" Well, yes I said the righteous people will not be able to revert the evil ones, you could become a righteous one before that time. You could ask me all the questions that you could muster and I, or any Muslim could answer you till you're speechless! You could ask, "why would God end it all in the first place?" "Why would God make us his slaves?" "Why would he create such imperfections?" These are all questions that I could answer if you seek knowledge.... but now, all I can do is advise you to at least learn more about this religion before you make haste to judge it.

Mashallah. He is a truly blessed. I have major issues with anger. My Mom and few my siblings have done me and wife wrong. I have forgiving them. But sometimes, I lose control and lash out. I feel horrible after and promise to keep my cool. It doesn’t always work. I know it Is wrong and I pray to Allah to help me keep my anger hidden. JAK.
