My AU happens after a Neutral Route in the normal Undertale where Frisk spares everyone, but at the very end of their journey, they kill Asgore without mercy. After this, the whole underground is sent into disarray, and just about every monster now despises humans. So now even Alphys, Papyrus, and even some more interesting cases like River Person hate humans. Seeing his brother turn from wanting to capture a human to hating them caused Sans to become sorts depressed. After a long time, a new Human child falls into the underground, with a gray soul (Representing Fear). Flowey is surprisingly one of the only remaining Monsters who doesn’t want to kill you because and I quote: “I can’t cause misery if everyone is already miserable”. In this AU Sans doesn’t really care about the Human’s presence in the Underground. He often talks to himself, and tries to convince Papyrus to go back to how he used to be, but to no avail. Even if the Player decides to go for a Genocide Route, Sans won’t try to fight. In this timeline, Sans truly is the weakest enemy.
More about this AU aside from Sans, specifically Genocide. Upon reaching the end of a Genocide Route, you’ll be met with Flowey. And as an encounter begins, you get some interesting Dialogue. “So. I guess this is the end of your journey. Congrats. You killed everyone in the Underground. You’re officially the worst human to ever come down here. Proud of yourself?” “I joined you to try and give these Monsters some hope again so I could take it away, but seeing you mercilessly kill them all while they were already miserable made me realize something. These Monsters didn’t deserve this. I’ve killed them all thousands of times over, but this outcome in specific was too different. They didn’t deserve that, but you know who does? You.” Suddenly the 6 Human Souls break free from the tubes they were contained in, surrounding Flowey. The souls grant Flowey all the strength they have, transforming him into Omega Flowey. But this time, things are different. The Human Souls are no longer here to help you. This time? They’re here to break you.
Just realized I gave no context on the pacifist route. THIS MAY BE AN OLD COMMENT BUT I SHALL EXPAND FURTHER! During the Pacifist Route, the progression is mostly the same near the start. However about halfway through the Ruins Flowey warns you that Toriel may be patrolling around making sure the monsters inhabiting the ruins are ok, and if she spots you things won’t go well. So you need to go around the ruins while making sure not to get spotted by Toriel. However if you are spotted something odd happens. Instead of being attacked or entering an encounter, an odd voice fills your mind and you are brought to your last Save (this is important). Once you make it through the Ruins and reach the exit, Toriel comes up behind you. This time an encounter does begin. Toriel is substantially stronger than in the base game, utilizing orange and a new attack type being Red. Red attacks deal double damage and are often a bit harder to dodge. A little thing about the combat, you cannot “Spare” monsters. The Act option is replaced with Guard, and Mercy is replaced with Subdue. In order to win fights peacefully, you must last long enough for the enemy to get tired (this can be sped up by attacking) and then you can attempt to Subdue them. Subduing works kind of like the mercy mechanic in Deltarune, with different actions working better than others. Once they are fully subdued, you can then flee. There is no winning for a pacifist here. Only surviving to tell the tale. Now back to story. The Toriel fight (as stated) is much harder than the base game. Not like “last breath” hard, but hard. Toriel will give some dialogue about the plot and upon Subduing her you must make a choice. Fight or Flight. This branches from the character’s soul representing Fear. If you pick fight, Toriel dies. Sooooo, connecting the dots…something happened with photoshopped Flowey which concluded in him basically having ptsd from that. BUT, in another video sans still had anxiety when Papyrus was a child, so it took place before frisk and when Flowey could reset! If I’m wrong please do correct me, but this is the best I can guess with what I have :)
