  • This is the best knot that I use for tying my magnet when magnet fishing. I also use this knot when bass fishing as well. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me in comments below.
    If you are interested in where I purchased my magnet, you can find it here:
    www.amazon.com...
    The music used can be found at bensound.com

    Thanks Zach. A friend of mine showed me how to tie this knot years ago but I had forgotten how to do it. You're right, great for fishing or anywhere strength is needed. Thanks again brother.

    I like how you used your middle finger to hold the loop. It's much easier than the way I've tied the Palomar knot for years. Zach your video was very helpful.

    To untie knots, they make a "marlin spike". It dates from a long time ago and was used predominantly with sail ships in the 1800s. You can still find them anywhere as a add-on to a knife. Hope it helps you untie knots later on. Thanks for the nice video.

    Watching thanks to Exploring Alabama. Watched Morgan dollar video first and wanted to suggest that tag found may be a slave tag that I believe was used during auctions. I apologize if it was already suggested, but because of the feeling you had when you talked about it, wanted to make sure that the possibility had come up. will subscribe and know I will enjoy your videos!

    What is the best rope to get (size - what it’s made of - how it’s made) know one talks about the actual rope?? Thanks

    • @ZachByrd
      @ZachByrd  6 років тому +1

      I use ski rope but I've seen others use repelling rope too. I personally don't think the rope is as important as the knot. I mean, you want to use something that's well made and durable but it depreciates with the wrong knot.

      +mattonthewater it is.

    • @mattonthewater

      Sweet deal! Amazing knot, the harder you pull the tighter it gets!

    • @ZachByrd
      @ZachByrd  7 років тому +1

      +mattonthewater it's the only know I use bass fishing so I figured it'd translate great to magnet fishing. The only thing I don't like about it is the size of the knot but that can be countered if you find a rope equal in strength yet smaller in diameter.

    • @ZachByrd

      As a bass fisherman who has tested this knot, I couldn’t disagree more. The knot doubles the strength of the rope.
