    Learn to use your looper as a song player. Add accompaniment tracks easily to your live performance.

      If I connect my tonex pedal to this pedal, can I use the aux input of this pedal to play guitar and jam without using a mixer? I want to use it only for aux. I don't need the looper feature

      @@Berk-tm5zx Page 2 of the manual says "Sound from a digital audio player connected to the AUX IN jack can easily be recorded." I don't think your tonex peadl will work as you described. Let me know if I'm wrong.

    Hi Jim , can I also record a track off my iPad into the boss rc 3 ?
    I no longer have my Beatbuddy, and wish to incorporate drum tracks I’ve made in GarageBand with my gigs .
    Can you easily recall these on the fly with the looper , which I don’t own by the way .
    I’m just looking for options, and to be honest not that great with new tech .
    And lastly, can you import drum tracks off something like Karaoke Custom backing tracks?
    Cheers, and happy to sub too …. Great content! 😊

      Thanks for the great question! Basically any track can be loaded onto the RC-3. There is a jack in the back of the peddle similar to the jack for headphones that can be used for this purpose. To recall a track on the fly you would BOSS software to create a phrase on the looper first. Then just dial up the track number, 1-99 and the track can accompany you. This words for any track you can convert to a .WAV file. Even Custom Karoake will work as long you convert the mo3 to a .WAV. Hope this helps!

      Hello @gerardvinar ! The iPad transfer would be a problem because it lacks USB which is needed by the RC3. You could do it easily though from a computer. I have used GarageBand to do what you are proposing. Thanks for the sub!

    Hi, is this possible to do - I go on youtube or wherever and find a piece of music or a drum beat and literally just via a phono cable record a piece of that music/beat to the rc3 by the AUX socket, save it and then use that as the first layer of a memory and then i could over dub it as required? For example, the rc3 drum options are basic, so if i found nice drum beats on youtube on my phone, plugged a phono cable into phone earphone socket to the aux socket on the rc3, and recorded it? Could
    I then use this as the base layer on a memory and overdub it with guitar etc as required. is that possible to do with the rc3 aux socket? Cause that seems really great if that can be done
    - i have the rc5 and its great but the simplicity of the 3 (ie no deep menus- sometimes to many options is a bad thing!) with the AUX if it can be used like i mentioned above, would almost make me get rid of the 5 and get a 3!

      It does seem quite doable. What a great tip you offer here too. You would need to use a DAW like Garage Band, or your preference to build the track before you move it to your looper.

    How about how to load wave files into phase slot unto the pedal. When connected to my computer and I drag and drop a small wave file from my desk top onto an empty slot it doesn't seem to transfer after i disconnect the pedal from the computer. Thx!

      @JimSnedekerMusic  Рік тому +1

      Did you write the track after your transferred it? For some reason drag and drop still requires that you write the track after moving it to the RC-3.

    Jim,
    I think you could possibly pick it up a bit in the video. You could possibly have shown this video in a matter of 30 seconds and been able to complete what you were ultimatel;;y trying to achieve here. Seriously....that was painful in a small type of way. lol
    Thanks for the upload though. I STILL have no found my answer on this pedal! Anyway! Have a good day sir.

    why not simply transfering a wav file?

    • @JimSnedekerMusic
      @JimSnedekerMusic  Рік тому

      Good point. Of course you can do that. This video shows the steps if you want to remove some tracks from the file BEFORE you transfer it.
