You’re the best at swatching. I honestly don’t know how your comparison swatches show up on the camera where you can actually see differences but I could clearly see the differences between the primers. Your channel is my go to when I want to see a product in action and get in-depth information before I buy it. I use the original on my face & under my eyes. I use the matte on my eye lid, fore head, & chin. My skine is dry/oily T zone. This is how I work with Elf primer.

I really like the look of the luminizing primer! I don’t wear a lot of foundation anyway - just concealer- I think that would make my bare skin look nice.

Very strange... the matte primer looked more matte on your forearm but not on the face 🤔. Maybe that's proof that our face skin is truly different from our body skin.
I've got older skin and prefer the matte putty. There've been times where all I'll use is the putty because it does such a good job of hiding fine lines.

I like using the original on my eyelids because there so dry. I saw the illuminating and matte at my Walmart. Maybe I'll try the illuminating after I finish the original one.
I've been using this for a couple of months and love it. I apply with a sponge; not a beauty blender, but a square rubbery makeup sponge and it applies the correct amount quite nicely.
I personally love Estee Lauder's DoubleWear foundation for high-end and CoverGirl's Matte Made foundation for drugstore. I find the best weapon, though, is Coty's Airspun powder! It does have a fairly strong perfume-y fragrance, but it fades away. I live in southern Louisiana, where humidity and heat reign supreme, and this powder really helps.

I apply the original with a square makeup sponge. I buy these for cheap in a multi pack, so no need to wash, just throw away when too dirty. It applies the putty in the correct amount and works wonderful for me.

i heard if you have oily skin its best to avoid using matte foundations/primers because it makes your skin produce more oil..so it feels a bit more drier than usual..maybe thats why it appeared more oily than the original side
56 years old and I've had oily skin since I was 12. Always use a good oil free moisturizer EVERY time you wash your face. It truly cuts down on oil production.
Your foundation color is spot on maybe when doing stuff like this get a darker foundation to show better? Otherwise I think this is an amazing review(:
If this isn't thorough and comprehensive...idk what is!!? This is how all the reviews should look like...but, the sad truth is we've turned into superficial, "fast digestible and rejectable"(I doubt this "phrase" exists, but we all know what I'm talking about 😪) society and we want everything NOW and as short as possible! Sometimes it seems that our mental capacities are...almost non existent. Is it obvious that I'm a bit irritated with ppl?! Especially YT community, majority that turned into something so unrelatable- and those still enjoying making videos: for fun, love of sharing knowledge and meeting new people. Jeez, this sleep deprivation is killing those few brain cells I've taken care of, in order to function properly. I've been having issues with the original. first time I used it i loved it.... after that its like its terrible. after the first time, it no longer hides my pores at all, and anywhere I apply it, if I try to put on blush or anything over it, when I go to swipe it on even with a very fluffy brush, it just takes all my foundation off and i have a bare patch of skin. WTF is going on?

I notice a very subtle difference between the poreless and matte side or maybe not so subtle, but the matte side looks more poreless tbh

Allura do think the mattifying could be a dupe.or an alternative to the tarte timeless? Is there an airbrushed effect at all?
Meh, I've never tried Timeless but I'm going to say no since the matte one didn't appear particularly airbrushed.
Tarte timeless is amazing! It blurs your skin almost more than the tatcha one.

The original seems better than the matte side in creating a more blur and covering the brown spots on your face as what I can see
