Layered string-bending, and genius chord-progression! Mr. Campbell didn’t know just how good he was, even in this early example from the early-60s! By the way, this is a compromised version of the tune. The full version is available, if you can find it, on the old LP version of “Pure Truck & Country” on the Nashville label.
