Stanley’s resigned “I’m going to die” is so depressingly hilarious.
this makes that episode so much more understandable. No wonder everyone was so stressed out by Michael, he was playing around with a defibrillator which can actually kill someone.

Actually, defibrillators that are available to the public e.g. as part of first aid kits are designed so that they first measure when the electrodes are on whether there is even a need to shock, and only then will even allow it.
Defibs don't kill.
Seeing all this bullshit, Stanley's outburst was completely justified and you don't feel even a tiny bit sorry for Michael.

They have another interaction that’s, really not an interaction…on the episode called “the list” (season 8 episode 1) when Dwight separates the people from the list and he says “ATTACK” Kevin attacks Stanley and is shoving him down on his desk 😂
There's a small one in Conflict Resolution where Kevin is wary that Stanley might steal his Miracle Whip
When Kevin was the receptionist & didn’t know how to transfer calls Kevin finally gets to Stanley phone & he tells him just transfer the call 😂😂

Fun fact: An AED will only administer a shock if the victims heart rate is irregular. In the hope that the heart will beat normally after a hard reset. If the victim suffers from cardiac arrest where the heart stops entirely, or if the heart rate isnormal, the AED will not shock.
A lot of AEDs have voice guidance, and it will tell you to keep clear from the victim for a few seconds. During this time the AED is checking the victims pulse. If anyone touches the victims body during this time, their own bioelectricity will disrupt the reading.
Update: the latest AED's are so advanced that they can scan the heart while people perform CPR.

@@napalmtree745 In that case: chest compressions, chest compressions, chest compressions. Untill the ambulance arrives. Although im not entirely sure what they do in the hospital to be honest. But the increased presence of AED at workplaces and in public has increased survival rates of heart attacks by 30% in my country of the Netherlands.
I did a first aid course and we got shown how to use them. They're crazy straight forward, if you ever see someone have a heart attack and ones there you should get it, they talk you through the standard first aid steps and even give you a timing for chest compressions

AEDs can absolutely administered a shock to someone who doesn’t need one if there is enough motion artifact. For example, in the video, if the AED were on, it would have most likely administered a shock with what Michael was doing with it. Also, it’s not about the regularity of the rhythm, it’s about the type of rhythm itself.

Ya gotta feel bad for Michael’s disappointment at the end when he didn’t get to “defridulate” someone after being so excited to do so, yet at the same time, Michael always abuses Toby in some way so ya gotta feel good for Toby that he lucked out.
