Put the Tour Edge C723 in my bag a few weeks ago. It is as long as the Cobra LTDx LS that it replaced and as forgiving as the Ping G410 LST that the cobra replaced. The Tour Edge has a very deep face and is easy to align with the Ridgeback spine and Diamond Face logo. The Tour Edge C723 is extremely adjustable with the swappable front and back weights and hosel settings. I’m playing mine with the heavier weight in the rear. The driver heads in this bracket have a slightly different shape but the Tour Edge is smaller by volume at 445 CC while the TSR3 is at 460 CC. Tour Edge has a number of no upcharge shafts beyond just the few stock shafts and a great lifetime warranty and 30 day playability guarantee. The sound of the Tour Edge has a slight ting to it despite all the carbon panel construction. It is not loud, but it is not the typical carbon fiber softer thud. More of a Thwack. 20 some rounds in with it already and very few penalties off the tee. Don’t sleep on Tour Edge if you want good performance and a good value.
I still use my Bazooka 3 wood , and an older 7 wood 22'( still give me height and 187m+) and that's on a R shaft. hard to let go. My 3 wood some times out drives my XXIO driver, which also is a bit long in the tooth, Love the light shaft. 45g S looking at the cobra's at the moment, but you,ve given me food for thought.
I can’t wait to get that Tour Edge driver. I’ve played Tour Edge clubs for forever. My irons and fairway woods are an old set of Tour Edge Reaction II’s I’ve had since high school in 2006 or so and they still play great to this day. Very forgiving clubs and accurate as hell. Tour Edge clubs are underrated but a great value for the money and have better performance than the brand name snobs think. Don’t get me wrong I’ve played Mizuno and Ping clubs, but I can’t justify giving up my TE clubs.
It seems that the tsr is the top driver this year but the fact that you basically have to find a tiebreaker in looks, sound, feel between that and TE shows just how underrated their equipment is. Def best value out there.
Great job Brandon. Love the content. When you factor in price you can't beat Tour Edge imo. I play last years E722 and couldn't be happier. It goes far and is extremely forgiving. I'd like to see you compare the E723 and see if dispersion gets tighter and how far distance goes down. I understand you can't test them all though. Keep up the good work!
First time viewer and I must say that’s the smoothest 120 mph I’ve seen in a long time. No rush in your swing ,easy distance. At your level a 2x4 would compete in this competition.
I'm so invested in this series, excited to see which one progresses to the final! Also if you're open to doing course vlogs I'd definitely watch them, you're a natural on camera. Keep up the great work bro
Great video Brandon. I was actually also fit into the TSR 3 this Friday, and the dispersion was MUCH better than anything else I have hit. Got even better when trying the Tour AD UB6 shaft, so now I probably have to go and order it... 😅 And wow! The decision to (possibly) go pro should have it's own video entirely. But it was left as a cliffhanger, so OK I guess but still it would be a great way to have another video on the channel... 😊
December 2022 I traded in my Mizuno ST-Z driver, 3 wood, 5 wood for the Tour Edge E722 clubs. Gained several yards with all. Feel lighter to swing. Tighter dispersion. I never even heard of Tour Edge until last year. Happy discovery.
Just found the channel and its awesome so far. Once you find the winner will you put up all the numbers of each driver to see what came first and which one came last.
I bought the TEE C721 couple years ago after seeing video online of people getting good results. I have a net in my backyard so I do hit lots of balls swinging around 120-126 SS but I had 3 different shafts snap at the hosel with that driver and eventually had to sell it. TE had really good warranty sending a replacement shaft every time without hesitation though.. I've had the Nike Covert that's been used and abused never snap, and a Ping G425 that's been swung just as hard and at this point even more never snap. Wondering if the same sort of issue would happen with this new model.
Interesting. The C723 is actually the first time I hit a tours edge club but it seems really well built. I'm glad their warranty process was good for you though. I would hope they addressed those issues in this new club.
Owned the Titliest! However, just bought the TE at 8* hopefully I can get get 2 about 6 or 7 degree of loft? l'm 65 years old and NEED more roll! I tried the LA golf ball, did not like them, felt heavy?
Hey just found your site. Love the content. I’m from BC so fellow Canadian. I know it’s kinda been over done but curious your take on the Kirkland ball.
Saw many reviews on the TSR3. Tried it myself and I mustered up the 599$ and it's been the best choice I could of made. Very forgiving and super long. I've even had a few 300+ drives.
@@NewNineGolf I used the Srixon Z Star-XV white. They were long off the driver and similar clubs, for shorter clubs the felt soft for chips and pitches. did not feel any difference with the putter between the Pro-Vs and the Z Star. For someone like your self with the big swing speed, do not know. However for what it is worth. there is quite a number of tour pros on all circuits migrating to Srixon!
Would be interested in your experience with the CS X LS. I'm not at 122 driver but closer to 110-112 most days. I like to play a slight fade for accuracy but I don't want tons of spin. I also hit the ball really high, so wind has a big effect. Considering CS X LS or B X this year.
TSR drivers are hands down the best. In Feb I was custom fit for TSR2, outperformed my 2016 M2 by an avg of 5 yards carry and also outperformed G430 max and Paradym. Best sound/feel, highest ball speed and smash factor. Won’t be leaving my bag for at least 5 years
I play the titleist tsi 3 and love it . Considering getting the C723 only because cancer took out my wife 7/23/18 . I was going to get the Mizuno 223 irons because her birthday is 2/23/71 but I'm a blade player and got the 221. Ever since she passed away I see those numbers everywhere. Its very spiritual. What should I do?
Try the Sugar golf ball. You can compare it with the ProV1 from a distance, feel and spin perspective. Instead of $5 US a piece it is about $3 a piece.
so some how after owning and playing at least 20 rounds with and much more with tsr2, tsr3, g430lst, pxg gen6, aerojet ls, tour edge c721, and now finally tour edge c723 ive landed on what i am going to stick with for awhile. simply the best for me. if the aerojet ls wasnt open at address or offered a 8 deg i could have kept that setup. but honestly with the weight forward the c723 has the best all around performance for me. sits square, adjustable, no additional lead tape needed anywhere(tsr2), bombs and forgiveness. but the weight had to be forward, back was still good but introduced a bit of lefts even in the toe setting. now perfect. 16 gir yesterday, 2 3 putts, 2 missed greens on par 3s. great driving day. much better than c721
Good question. I just check the data and nothing looked out of place. I had 179 before the ball broke and had one that was 173 after. So I think it was just strike location.
Awesome content. Maybe there was something wrong with the ball when hitting the TE driver. Your spin number is cursived to 2235, which in trackman means it is trackman's estimation and it did not read the RCT-ball correctly
Thanks! I just checked the numbers. There was 2 drives that the spin was cursived or italic.. I've had it on other sessions too. It just does that out of no where. Lol I wish I had better lighting to get club face data too. Working it on.
Sorry to comment twice. In terms of balls, definitely recommend giving the Bridgestone tour b xs a run. Feels so good and if tiger woods endorses it then it must be at least half decent!
I don't fault your methodology but the reality is that almost no one playing non-tournament course layouts would be bothered by the wider dispersion of the Tour Edge. Dispersion would be more of a concern for approach shots.
I know you have been using the HZDRUS black shaft in x flex but would definitely like to know your thoughts on that shaft in comparison to a few others such as VENTUS, or the Tensei shafts ?
I got pretty similar results with the tensei. I didn't feel like it had as much pop tho. Now the Ventus is a different story, that is is a beast and I'm actually looking to pick one up. The black or the TR black or blue. Not sure yet. Still have to do more testing vs my LA golf DJ shaft. That thing is also a beast.
I never got along with titleist drivers until the tsi line up. I got both the tsi-1 and 3. The tsi-3 is ridiculously forgiving for a players head. Not to surprised the tsr is such a power house with great control and forgiveness.
Great driver battle. The one thing I would like to see in ALL UA-cam driver battles is to include in the calculations where you hit it on the club face and develop a formula to take that into account, for example for every 1 mm you miss the center of the face you add 2 yards to the distance and subtract 2 or 3 yards from the dispersion. It is not the clubs fault if you have a bad session and miss the center more. Nor another way would be to compare the drivers by looking at the data on all shots that you missed the center by 2mm high toe or 3mm low heel or 4 mm high center etc. This would be the absolute fairest and most accurate test and you would BLOW AWAY all other UA-cam driver battles
@@NewNineGolf trackman shows impact position on the club face in mm from center to toe or heel and height. So you compare all the strikes between drivers that for example were 6mm toe and 2mm high, then compare all strikes 3mm heel and 1mm low. Because if you hit one driver with 1mm of center on 10 shots and the other driver only 6 shots it skews the data by a large margin. You are only measuring 2 pieces of data, (overall distance and distance from center line) but there are many more variables that affect your 2 criteria. For example with the Tour Edge vs TSR3, the Tour Edge had longer distance but was also further offline than TSR3,. BUT did you strike the Tour Edge further from center of clubface than TSR3 because that will account for dispersion as well as club face path and angle of attack etc. I would just like to see some UA-camr do a more detailed, scientific, fair comparison and Trackman gives all the data you need, BUT it will require more time to analyze and present the data. Just think if you did this that your channel would be the GILD STANDARD for driver brackets. Appreciate your replies, says a lot about your character. Cheers
