God this brings back memories, not because I had this crazy contraption, but because back in the late 90s, I brought a roller Banshee and found an RZ350 engine to fit in it(better than the no power valve stock 350 twin), had it bored, stroked crank, 521cc's, widened A's and axles, and ran Hoosier flat track tires on it....god that quad turned out nasty, would literally smoke 3 gears on the streets with ease.... fastest "off-road" bike i ever owned or built, way faster than my old, built CR500R even with the weight disadvantage 😅
I love it when the owner actually took the time to do it himself. He's there just chatting away and you can tell he sweated every single detail on that bike to get it just right. Top bloke and the results speak for themselves. It sounds and looks awesome. Proper machine.
Nice build brings back memories . Unfortunately Ive only got 2 photos but 45 years ago I bought in a closing down sale for £80 TZ350G Barrels, pistons, rings, carbs, head, exhausts. I put them on a RD350 bottom end with home build water pump, radiator, clutch, box section mono shocked rear swing arm and modified frame with full TZ bodywork n fairing, seat and tank in bright yellow with black Kenny Roberts block work. It ran Castrol R was 70 HP. A TZ with a kick-start! It kicked up and even ticked over! Was faster than Kawasaki 900 and at at time there were no water cooled 2 stroke twins with mono shock on the road, this was unique and pre LC years. MOT was a little difficult, Id put additional temporary baffle cans on the spannies hoping the guy would be OK but he says " is this a TZ? Come on get them daft cans off lets here it" ..........it passed!
WOW that wonderful RD sound brings tears to my old eyes. My favorite bike of all time was and still is my then-new bright orange 1975 RD350. My older brother had a 1974 RD350 and talked me into going the 2-stroke route and so glad he did. I still remember it had 40Hp @315 lbs, a fantastic power-to-weight ratio. Today I ride a 2014 Ninja 300 SE. It's smooth and dependable but heavy at 379 lbs and IIRC 34Hp. Yep, sure miss my RD!
My father raced a custom built 2stroke in a champion flatrack frame in the early 80's. Love the two strokes. Especially when they share the track with 4strokes.
I have a Ducati 748 with a very tired engine. For a while now I have regularly dreamt and lightly planned how to install a two stroke engine in the chassis. A 350 twin would be great but a triple like an H2 would truly be amazing. Stellar video guys and amazing work by the bike owners and builders!
@@Vicscustommotorcycles it was worth every minute spent building it then. Cannot put a price on opening the garage door and smiling when you see what you've built.
Fantastic machine. I'm currently building my own Frankenstein machine.. A 1980 zundapp ks50-529 model which will be married with a Yamaha rd200 engine. The engine hangs inside the Fram now, but has to be rebuild (waiting for parts). And it needs some extra rigidity. Hope to go from the original 2,5 HP to something between 25 and 35... On a 80 kg moped...
Shame I never had one of those big bore kits on my F2 from 89 to 93, and I might have got better times & speeds than my GT380 did. The mutant is a Cafe style work of art ! Great video
Yessss! Sounds VERY healthy. ...and revs quite a bit higher than my old RD 350 did. Of course we're talking almost 50 years difference in technology and between air cooling and water-cooling.😄 I'd love to give 'er a rip!😃👍
there are so many hot parts for that motor because it came in the banshee but no powervalve. rz350 frame is no up to our modern handling expectations so its cool to see conversions.
Can't say I'm a fan of custom bikes but just figured out why I like this... no stickers, no lights, no plates, no mirrors. Makes such a difference. Now I see why some manufacturers leave the mirrors off bikes in the sales brochures.
Stroken, the more you have the more u want to Chuck in it,lmao. He's right, try to make it better. Awesome build. Rode dunes with built it490. Built a Red Baron in 88 only had 2 days snow,Good Friday, Saturday. Smoked a new cat ,with 2 people, it ain't strong if you don't need the weight.
A popular swap is the Yamaprilia. Its the RZ350 (usually punched out to be MUCH bigger) in a modern Aprilia RS250 frame. I'd build one if I had the time and funds..
The GPS speedo reg 125mph on a private road....at 8k revs, still a few revs left..its not mental quick but I didn't build it for that, it handles and accelerates well, makes me smile, job done

The crispy sounds coming from a banshee hearth at stationary rpm. Best 2-stroke ever made in my opinion
Two stroke content is best bike content.
It comes into power really smoothly by the sound of it.
I too love creating my own stile of modifications and improvement in bikes
Outstanding build. I especially like the centrifugal clutch behind a transparent cover.
Thank you very much!
the coolest looking and sounding bike ever
My father raced a custom built 2stroke in a champion flatrack frame in the early 80's. Love the two strokes. Especially when they share the track with 4strokes.
Grew up on 2 strokes still sends a tinge down my spine
Unique, hats off to the guy. I miss my 2 stroke years, I was lucky to own a few (RD350 N2 YPVS, NS400R and a TDR 250)

If you fitted an H2 engine you could call the bike a Kawaducat.
@@nightjaronthegateor a Ducazaki...
An rg500 engine I reckon.

great to hear motor with no wind noise awesome job
Such a beautiful build, and I’m sure is a blast to ride.

Any two stroker l love rode them in the 1970s and loved every minute of riding and any water cooled two stroke so much better more like this please
the rd 350 is a great bike ! the rd400 aircooled was a legend as well. never seen an mz scorp though
kinda funny that MZ 660 went in a production ATV and the RZ 350 also went in a production ATV
great new direction for the channel max theres so many strange and wonderfull shed builds out there for the road
You gotta love a machine that blurs your vision as it's coming on the pipes. This bike could be hard to beat on a tight twisted road.
Always something different. That's why I love this channel
Thanks for tuning in :)
Awesome Motorcycle I love the way those two stroke sound👍👍👍

That is fantastic , the sort of thing I would dream of building , if only! The fit and finish look first rate . I bet it is fun to ride .
Thanks for watching Dave
90hp 100kg that's pretty sick, 🏍🏍
That bike is absolutely inspiring and gorgeous!
Couldn't agree more, Thanks for watching
That tuned RD350 motor sounds crisp. I bet that powerband is fun. Its putting out similar power to an RG500 but I bet it handles better.
I had a 350RD in the 90s. That Engine is so crazy.
Ypvs
Beautiful. 100 hp 100kg 2 stroke, nothings better, surely
Love 2 strokes 💯 beautiful machine
In my opinion the only thing missing was drone footage.
That looks awesome.
Very nice and the sound
What a lovely build. Awesome engine for us old boys 💪💯🔥
Thanks for watching. The Yamaha 2 stroke twin is a sweet engine for this type of bike
Nice video Max, the bike is a real head turner , and sounds great powering along.
