Substance of the poem:A river flows down the center of a small green valley.From the mountain stream sun shines come out and fill the whole valley.Next to a river lies a soldier open mouthed.A pillow of fern is under his head.He is peacefully sleeping there in the sunlight.The valley is covered in trees of all kinds and large stretches of green grass.Flowers and herbs bloom there.His feet are among the flowers.His smiling face looks like that of an innocent infant.The poet prays to Nature to keep him warm.The humming insects do not disturb his rest.He is one with nature.The sun still shines upon his body, warming it.He has his hand down on his chest.He sleeps at peace.In his side there are two red holes of shell. He is dead.
