I love this bike, but yeah, those handlebars make my shoulders sore after a long ride. Thanks for the video! I will be looking for risers.

Great video…I’m going to leave my handlebars right where they are now. 😀

Hi, Mark - I have the same problem with the sore back from too much forward reach so I purchased a set of Rox risers although with the extended stem - and from the scratch and dent section for $50.00 - their aluminum scratch and dent are really nice finish with very small imperfections.
A couple of questions and an observation - do you remember the length of the front brake line that you custom ordered??? I measured mine on the bike at 42" minus the banjo fittings so expect to be around 45" if 3" extra is enough or is it a bit too much??
The throttle cables can be disconnected from the throttle housing and rerouted without having to move the fuel tank - it looks daunting at first but is nothing once you get into it.
The Yamaha risers could be reversed front to back just by loosening the retaining nut underneath the triple tree and turning the risers 180º and then the Rox will fit down over the riser without having to replace them - makes the Yamaha risers look like snake heads point forward.
Again thanks for the effort in doing that really informative video.

use locktite people, I didn't and they slipped forward and I flew over the bars , my hands/arms broke at every joint.

Thanks Mark for the video. Just curious why you needed risers? I would like to bring my handlebars back about an inch because I'm on the short side but not sure if those risers would make the reach worse.

I need the pullback risers so I don't get a stiff neck and shoulders from leaning forward too much and these worked great!

Concider 1" risers and use stock cables , you may have to cut some zip ties and redo em but no big whoop.

God video, so you extended the brake line, clutch cable and throttle cable? The rest of electrical cables were ok?

My understanding you can go up to 10in bars without changing out cables. I am not sure that is true if you put in a riser which i believe is not larger than 4in and having to do all that movement to loosen up cables.

So do you prefer this to the ctx700? I am struggling to decide myself. Returning rider. What do you think?

I bought another CTX700 to replace the V star 1.5 years ago, smoother, easier to handle around town better fuel economy 60mpg vs 40 V star.

Any reason you chose the 2” risers instead of 3”. Regardless I appreciate the info!

The more you add the more issues you may have to deal with and the 2" riser is all I needed.

@@marcbee1234 thank you for the reply. I still haven’t added risers… yet. Altho it snowed today so riding season is over
