    From 02:04 to 03:35 - ABSOLUTE truth ... You have to motivate yourself. You do everything yourself, and you report to yourself. That's all there is, and that's just ... it. No one gets after you if you don't record your metrics, and know your numbers. You are unto yourself, and everyone thinks they want that, until they are actually in the position to do it ...

    • @mixerD1-
      @mixerD1- 4 роки тому

      When they were first devised they were seen as the purest of innovation... something that created billions overnight from nothing or even from negative money...they completely imploded though because they became so successful they canabillised everything around them they were so completely unregulated...because the banks didn't know how to regulate them, that they needed regulation and because the ratings firms didn't understand them and were afraid of the damage they knew they were going to do. But yes, the guy who invented them, Michael Milken or something like that his name was...he was seen as a magician for fabricating them.

    • @ChesterGorski
      @ChesterGorski 6 років тому +3

      Ro SJ
      hedge funds make money by either going long on a position or going short. Meaning they either make money off the stock going up or going down respectively. When he said you could be trapped in a short while the bigger funds go long, at that point in time the market had lower volumes so large institutional buyers could force price changes easier. Regulations make that hard to do on anything but penny stocks now, and those are terrible investments in most cases due to their lack of fundamentals. I didn't bother explaining some of those terms because watching a video would probably help you more.

You have a guy who’s been there and done everything there is to be done in the industry and most of ‘em look bored out of their minds. And when they DO come up with questions they’re going with the ones an A levels student who aspires to get into the finance world, would be ashamed to ask.
