    I feel like alot of people don't realize this, but when you see someone playing something hard in front of a crowd its only like half of their actual skill. in my room I'd say I'm a pretty good guitar player but in front of even 1 or 2 people I literally lose half of my skill.

      I think it's more that they play easier songs for them to avoid making too many mistakes in a public performance. But when they're all by themselves they can play harder songs without having to worry about making mistakes.

      Nah, I’m better in concerts than when practicing. It’s like adrenaline gives me a skill boost, or thinking of the people listening gives me strength. Except when I’m playing for a couple of friends, then it’s somehow worse lol

    Its pretty common etiquette to not clap before the performance is done in orchestra. I know hearing an anime song you know might make you wanna scream, but the crowd was actually very respectful to his playing and I'm sure it was appreciated. You can hear it at the end.

      It's common with most music performances, bands (school bands I mean) choirs, and orchestras unless there is a cool solo or something in the middle ( guitar solo for a song in choir) you don't clap until they are done and the conductor shows the song is over

    The fact that comments say "I wouldve yelled screaming hyping the man up" nah bro, just stay silent and admire the talent. You don't need to show your appreciation by being loud during a performance, it just ruins the whole setting if everyone was loud and screaming. A good performer cascades his audience in silence, and this guy nailed it. I'm 200% sure a good majority of the crowd knows what tokyo ghoul is. Good job to the performer, and respect to the crowd.

      @@Spoopball I mean even in America, in music settings, usually they ask you to leave you applause until the end or after solos. Its extremely impolite to clap or make noise during a performance because it interrupts and can distract musicians and cause them to mess up. Speaking as an orchestra musician.

      The fingering all by itself doesn't seem very hard, but playing clean with that percussive slap definitely adds a lot more difficulty. If you remove the capo then it would undoubtedly be a way more complex arrangement.

      @@Chop_stiX if we're being particular about semantics, I should prolly have said 'skill' instead of 'talent' but I do believe natural talent alone will not amount to anything substantial if one doesn't put in time and effort to polish it. A naturally talented person may require a little less hard work than others but they need to put in work all the same, so when I complimented this person's talent I didn't mean it in a "wow you were born talented, it must be nice" way but rather "you have really worked for this" way.

      As in natural harmonics or artificial harmonics? It’s very easy to do natural harmonics with pinky and artificial harmonics are on a whole another level. Also if u were talking about using his right pinky, I don’t think it’s possible. left pinky is definitely possible thou.

      I'd argue that that's not really true, if by play you mean sing, then they're probably not guitarists, they're singers, and if they sing bad I don't think people would really give too much attention either.
      Besides, there are so many famous guitarists in UA-cam, they play beautifully, look at Alip Bata, Tommy Emmanuel, Paul Davids, Sungha Jung, and many many more. I think singing and solo instrumentals like this should be separated, it's extremely rare to play an arrangement and sing at the same time.
