Thanks for a very informative video. But I wonder (and please tell me if I am wrong) if you have missed stressing the importance of the one feature of the WT2/edge that is unique to this device. That feature is the ability when using the device in Speaker Mode to do simultanous translations without needing to have another person wear an earbud or for any need for button pushing.
You mention lectures, etc... Would you recommend this for a learning environment with background noise for audio into a phone mic translated into the earpiece to only you?
I have watched a handful reviews on his product and I understand they work decent for a person to person conversation when you’re both wearing earbuds. What I want to know is can I have one earbud in, have the foreign language set appropriately, walk into a shop and when that shop owner starts to talk to me will it translate in my ear?
No, you'd need the smart phone & app to do the listening with the wt2. Or give the shopkeeper an earbud. Which I think is fine bc if you're the only one who can understand the other, then all you can do is nod yes or no. Putting the phone/app in front of them would allow them to understand you as well.
So is the offline version better if i only want Spanish and English to talk with a tirl i met who is from nicaragua and we are starting to talk to eachother and see eachother more are these good for that?

So what's really the difference between mode 1 and mode 2 of the two-people conversation? The 1st one is just picking up all the noise around and doesn't need the phone, while the 2nd one does?
I am am instructor. I have a student that speak another language would I be able to use it for that student or even multiple student using two different sets one for each student

Hello, like you, in the street, i prefer something like the fluentalk or the vasco v4 (a comparison would be helpful). The situation i would like the earbuds is when i'm alone, trying to have a conversation on the phone. Are there some earbuds capable of that ? speaking with a foreign person on the phone ?
Do you have a recommended device for listen mode? A lot of the time I just want to chill and listen to what my wife's family is talking about and if I have something to add I can tap in through her. It's kind of an odd set up but I basically want real time meeting notes being transcribed and translated 🤔

Google translator is my best buddy. Along with a translator app from the play store that works wonders and does the dual conversation as well. It even saves the conversation you had with the person. I'll stick to that, it's free lol

Be sure to try the existing FREE Google translate with just your Android phone and with your ear buds first. it maybe all you need.

Well its a step forward but its not suitable to ask a stranger to put a earpeace of you in their ear.
You can just hold your phone out to pick up what they're saying and translate what you're saying.

Absolute waste of money. Anyone pushing these is a shill who's getting paid to sell glorified TWS earbuds. These things don't work, and are super laggy. Google Translate is INFINITELY better...and it's free.
I jus saw a guy review the other model about an hr ago and then I see this video..I.just went to Colombia and was like "hmm, these seem interesting"...then I said to myself, I just used Google translator and was fine the whole time lol. Their nice but, I'm out
