In Germany there is a new law, that allows drivers over 25 years old and with more than 5 years of overall driving experience to drive motorcycles with a max of 125ccm without a special driving licence . I am looking forward to buy me one of those since i drive almost daily 20km trough small country roads, and in summer i guess this bike would be perfect for my needs and as a Mechanic i can tell you that even Mercedes-Benz makes their parts in China so im not afraid of less than perfect quality. Thank you for the review, keep up the good work!
But you are not allowed to drive to other countries with this "permission". Its only valid in Germany which saddens me quite a bit. :( Also this "permission" doesnt "add" to your "experience". So you cant upgrade to the A2 licence. In my eyes this is bullshit. Why can I drive in Germany but not in other countries? I am 31 years old and a very experienced car driver. I want to travel the world by a motorbike, because of various reasons. I have to do the whole procedure with all the hours in driving schools and with all the tests if I want to do so.

And eventhough it isn‘t the most comfortable bike ever created, these trips were really nice and I enjoyed it.😄 So thank you for this review and I hope you have as much fun with your Brixton as I do. If you are looking for an all weather bike and lots of driving including highway, then this is not the right bike. Its a fun city bike and if well maintained it will last.
Do you know which Chinese factory produce the bike, must be on the vin plate I guess I'm curious because there are currently some very good deals here in the UK
Just bought one and surprisingly the prefix found on the vin plate is VA which indicates made in Austria? I know its a Austrian brand, part of the KSR group but the bike is clearly Chinese built. How this came about I've no idea
Brixton recent announced in my country bringing 3 variant of 150cc. What caught my attention is the Scrambler ver that comes with off road tires and Moto handlebar. Since I already have a sportsbike, I was thinking of getting a slightly off road machines to commute to work that is about 12km away and able to go off road but doesn't want to pay too much maintenance. Kawasaki KLX150 was my first choice but it is about 1/3 more expansive than this Brixton 150cc scrambler. May I know if the build quality is reliable enough for off roading occasionally and not fall apart easily?
yuunjac , that is a very good question. I have no idea , but looking at the cafe racer i would tend to say medium quality. But then again , that is not the same as a dirt bike. That is a bit more demanding. On that basis, i would opt for a more well known type like Beta. But i cant assure anything as i have not had the brixton long enough. I see negative and positive answers on the brixton quality. But often its more an emotional statement without facts. Maybe someone will answer
Will try to find sometime to go see the actual bike. I doubt they would let me rest ride it or even bring it off roading. My biggest concern is the reliability and getting replacement parts. I wouldn't want to strandle somewhere in the woods or waited too long to get replacement parts. Hope someone here who owns it and brought it off roading xan justify of it's capability.
yuunjac spare parts are easy. There is even a link in the comments as for off road. I have strong doubts that it is suitable. All depending how serious your off road. Is. Ask for a test ride all you can get is no. Good luck
D3Sshooter thanks for your reply, although it has comfy seat but since this is air-cooled, would it be overheating the engine to go for long distance and hours cruising?

Χαρα γ , as a first lady bike this certainly a good starter. As to the long livity of the bike, that all depends on how much care you take. Off course sea and salt are very aggresive , but with the need protection and regular washing. I would not expect a problem. Like any other bike, it must be maintained. . There are plenty of products on the market that provide good protection for the chrome. Imo, the chrome is the most sensitive part

Hi Sir! Whats your opinion about the scramber version? Is cafe racer more comfortable than the BX 125 Scramber Brixton version? I need a bike with a good solid look and enginge as well but the major factor is to enjoy the ride and I can't decide between the scrambler or the coffee racer. Maybe you can help me out,.
In essence they are the same, the cafe racer might be a bit more leaning forward , where as the Scrambler is a more upright position of the rider. That makes a difference in you hands will driving. Both have the same engine and ECU, its just the looks that are different
Hello sir, i have doubt about riding position because the cafe racer position should be more agressive than a classic bike but on this bike you actually dont lay to front side . What was your experience about riding position? Thank you already

Nice bike to set on your mobile home or set on your ⛵. Personal I go for a on off road . Cheap . Not Al lot of fuel. I own a Honda ns50f 2 stroke what a top of 115klm really the new stuff just sucks on top speed . But for days use for small roads and not highspeed roads it will be fine. And just set front teeth one smaller you have more power on the end. The engine just have not the power for the max RPM so with a small teets on the engine your Maxx wil be the same but will go faster to the max speed.
They may look nice. But as a dealer I can tell you quality isn't very good. We stopped carrying them in 2019, because of issues customers kept coming back with all the time.
Didn't gave a huge lot of attention to the chrome parts of my Brixton in the 3 years I have it. And of course after that time it started to show. But after giving it a fast and simple polish the parts with visible shortcomings (like front fender, chain protection, exhaust) looked like new. Other chrome parts on the other hand never had any "issues" at all. All in all I feel with a proper maintenance here and there the bike will last much much longer than one might think.
o0julek0o not that i am aware. But maybe if the owner cries hard enough . Then it will produce water, tons of tears of sadnesses or happiness who is to tell.

thanks for the great video! do you think this (or the Felsberg) would be suitable for a 1.53m beginner female rider? It's hard to find a bike small enough especially since I'm a beginner looking for a light one
Yes, absolutely
I am about to get 1 with Scrambler version tks for a nice review .
Bảo Long Nguyễn , great. And good luck with it. Let us know how it goes.
Tậu em nó về chưa bác? Em cũng đang tò mò dòng này :))

Txs for the comments, indeed
Hoping to get the 500cc brixton soon at Malaysia
Thanks for a great review!
Gpovanman Gpovanman txs for your comments
Really nice review, thank you!
After 2 years of posting this video, do you still have the Brixton? How is it holding up? I am considering buying a used one with 4k km on it. Anything to look out for?
Thanks for the comments, I have sold it about a few months ago. the reason was the max speed . On the highway overhere , I got stuck inbetween trucks and that is not a nice place to be. If you are looking for an all weather bike and lots of driving including highway, then this is not the right bike. Its a fun city bike and if well maintained it will last.
Do you know which Chinese factory produce the bike, must be on the vin plate I guess I'm curious because there are currently some very good deals here in the UK
Thanks for the comments, that I do not know but its build for an Austrian company
That is a great bike for beginners. Excellent presentation.
Highly aprreciated the video and review ,I'm interested to buy one of this, nice retro looks, but a bit skeptical with the engine quality and spare parts b'coz have an experience with other chinese made bike that giving me a headache, anyway thxs for the input and pls give an updated on this bike
great review, awesome guy. Thank you for this video 👍
Thanks for watching! Thanks for the comments
how would be for a woman's first bike? For the city and during the summer in Mykonos( wind, dust, sea would destroy it?)
@@D3Sshooter thank I for your advices ☺☺
Hi sir. I got one question bout how do i can adjust the timing on this bike. While riding the timing was quite high and my ride seems like not very smooth. Please do some review sir. Thanks. Big fans from MALAYSIA 🇲🇾
Txs for the comments, you cannot its all electronic sensors unless you can write to the ECU
I really couldnt figure it out which exact model of brixton is this
125 BX
@@D3Sshooter there is no such model here in Turkey.Appreciated sunray 125 R looks like this
Salut ,
Merci .
@@D3Sshooter thank you!
Hello sir, i have doubt about riding position because the cafe racer position should be more agressive than a classic bike but on this bike you actually dont lay to front side . What was your experience about riding position? Thank you already
Yes, you are right, the riding-position is for me just right. but I am only 1.68m
@@D3Sshooter I am 182cm and i am not sure that i fit on that bike.Do you believe that the other bx 125 x model might be better option for me ?Did you have any chance to see the other bike
Bonjour ,

Que conseillez vous pour le rodage svp ?
Merci ! ✌
Great review! I think I've decided to go with one of these for my first bike (though the standard BX 125 model rather than the Cafe Racer version).
As a side note, what is the song you use in the intro/near the end?
SawsAndSquares txs, as a first bike , and considering the limitations as i indicated is a very choice. I have had honda’s before ( 900 Bol d’or) but enjoy my brixton very much . Enjoy yours.
Was looking at them again today... I like the look but ideally minimum 250cc is required
Are you still happy with this bike? Problems with rust or something? Can't decide if I should buy it
Thanks for the comments, I have sold mine as I had to drive longer distances and highway... but for the time I had it , it was ok... about a year or so
Trying to find a low cost new cafe racer since all the honda CBs from the 70s and 80s are rough condition
Thank you for the comments
seat height?
Not reported in the company's site
Alex Bougias in my case that is 76 cm
5:02 Is or Isn't built for it?
Isnt
Hello, could you do a video on how to change the oil and airfilter ?! Thank you
I will do one very soon, txt for the comment
D3Sshooter thank you mate. You are a gem of youtube as there are jot many videos explaining how to mantain the bike.
Eddy Pizzini txs
Can this bike use e10 fuel? If not, why? Many thanks.
yep
Would you give me an idea, how much would it cost for mentainance?
That depends on how much you drive it ,, but I would count 20 euro a month
Thanks for this great review and good continuation 😀👍👊

Does this bike have these "combined" brakes, as in you press one brake and both brakes go off?
No it does not

"If you're tall guy or heavy guy this bike is not for you." What is the max height for this bike?
The saddle is about 76 cm and max weight 135 Kg
@@D3Sshooter tq. So its suits for 180cm guy?
Imran Azmi i saw a comment below of a man that said he had no problem (1.87m)
P.s sorry for my english😅
Is it possible to modifie the bike to make it higher?
Leander Baltha , very limited. The back springs allow for max 20mm. So not a lot.
D3Sshooter ok i will Try it👍🏽 Thank you!
Leander Baltha
- Take a look at the AJP PR3, PR4, PR5 or PR7.
totally different style but curiously even the seat height can serve many "tastes". ;-)
Cheers
@@D3Sshooter can you explain more please ?
Nice review. One question: what means if you are a tall guy this is not for you? Is 182 cm ok, or this is too tall? Thx
Thanks for the comments, might be on the edge
Thanks for the video it was informative and entertaining- oh and glad you're a Nikonian too :-)

Do you already have a new reprogram the fuel for the Brixton 125 For more power?
No I have not work on it since a while, to many other projects at the moment
Hi sir, should i buy italjet buccaneer 250i bike? Please review it.
If I could my hands on one , I would... TXS
A good honest review - as with everything in life, you get what you pay for - that's all.
Mister Jones txs and indeed
Lol Brixton isn’t a city in the UK... it’s an area (district) in London...
Thanks for the correction...
Hello, I'm 6'2 feet and i would like to know if it will be a problem for me to drive this bike ?
Thanks for the comments, you are a tall person and the bie is fairly small.. I would think that its on the edge ... I am 1.68 m a shorty.. Try it out firts good luck
I am 5'11 and in UK, bargains to be had here right now! just bought one and I have plenty of room
So, how's the motorcycle right now sir? I'm planning to get one next month, do you recommend it? Btw im Malaysian, thanks.
Hi, its still working fine and no issues .... IMO , a great bike for a small price.....
Thank you for this awesome video

hello , were you ever a mechanic for Ari Vatanen ?

Anders best ok
Hi Sir, what a great review. I'm 1:77 and 77kgs. What do you think about that size on this bike? Thank you so much from Spain!
Thank you, I don't think that its an issue.. but note that its a small bike... It all depends where and how long you will drive it. 1.77m is no issue nor is he weight. I am 10 cm shorter and 64Kg... my feet just touch the groud
@@D3Sshooter Thanks for the quick answer. I would use it to go to my job daily and maybe for some routes in the city outskirts. Best is to go and see one, sure.
@@johnhf84 , indeed go and try it out. Its no good for highway use due to its limited max speed 90-100km. So , in Belgium you are stuck on he truck lane... not ver pleasant. For city rides and smaller roads its great. I have sold mine recently and only because of he highway issue ( but that is the same for all small engine bikes).. Today I ride the 1200R BMW as my daily commuter. That commute is 180Km per day.
Thanks for the comments, and indeed playing with the teeth ratio is always an option
Great Review. May I ask you where you bought your jacket?
Thank you, sure RICHA
should i buy iut?
16000 RPM Rev counter??
Thanks for the comments... yep runs upto 10.000 RPM
They may look nice. But as a dealer I can tell you quality isn't very good. We stopped carrying them in 2019, because of issues customers kept coming back with all the time.
Thanks for the comments, and indeed you get what you pay for.. several small issues are not uncommon.
Insightful review, thanks!!
Glad it was helpful!
How's the chrome keeping up after those years?
Didn't gave a huge lot of attention to the chrome parts of my Brixton in the 3 years I have it. And of course after that time it started to show. But after giving it a fast and simple polish the parts with visible shortcomings (like front fender, chain protection, exhaust) looked like new. Other chrome parts on the other hand never had any "issues" at all. All in all I feel with a proper maintenance here and there the bike will last much much longer than one might think.
I’m 1,78 m would I be comfortable?
Yep, but maybe on the small side. try it
D3Sshooter thanks :)
Don't they make water?
o0julek0o not that i am aware. But maybe if the owner cries hard enough . Then it will produce water, tons of tears of sadnesses or happiness who is to tell.
Thank's man👍
Any time!

can i know your height sir ?
That style of motor bike originated with the "Ton-up" boys ("Ton" being a 100 mph or faster) in London and is just a "Caff" racer As working class rockers back then wouldn't have been caught dead in a "Caf-fay"
