Dear lord, people. Does everyone have to criticize everything? Who cares about her accent! I think she sounded perfectly intelligent and I could understand every word. I love to see ladies that are into motorcycles and living the motorcycle life! That should be enough. All the haters are most likely jealous because they probably couldn't pass the motorcycle safety course riding test on a 125cc.
For me, the best bike presentation from the Bike Shed. It might not be an impressive build, but there is so much love and passion coming from Kristen towards her little CD 200. Seeing this video just always makes happy and i wish the owner a ton of safe rides in the future with her daughter. Awesome bike, awesome person.
That is one excellent looking, tidy little motorcycle. The thing that people don't get about smaller bikes is just how much you can do with them. If you took a liter class superbike to its limit, on a public road, you're asking for trouble. With a small bike, you can easily take it to its limit, and it won't be the death of you if you know what you're doing.

So, first off, she is what being free in the wind is about. And though here inside my own head, big displacement has become necessary for the experience, I am easily realizing through this particular you tube page (it has everything to do with content and presentation) that it is the individual that makes the experience. AND, many of the other places in the world are not a 2 mile ride on the freeway away. The rest of the world is a more "roads connecting towns" method of getting there making a bike like hers perfectly suitable. Plus, I have come to really like this channel and the inclusive nature that should be common EVERYWHERE though in places it's not 😔. She and her build are just what I want to see more of! Good going rider, you rock!👍

Nice to see a women with true passion...in 1985 I built a 72 cb 750 into a cafe racer...thing screamed...loved it ...sold it for twice what I had into it...
I absolutely love everything about this bike, especially the proportions. Sometimes with cafes, the smallest thing can throw off the lines of this bike but this is spot on. The patina on the original tank is fantastic. Oh, and such a lovely lady as well.
That is a killer bike. I am currently working on my Honda 350F which I bought crashed when I was in high school and made it into a little cafe bike in the 80s. Its still in good shape and ran ok when I parked it 25 years ago. Can't wait to hear it run again which should be very soon:) I just wanted to say I enjoyed the story about your bike, good luck and be safe from the US!

I passed my test back in 1995. In the training centre before I went up to the test centre, there was an old bike tucked away in the corner. Got talking to the instructor about it and it was his, and it was up for sale. Only spent £200 on it, and my first "big" bike after passing my test was a Honda CD200 Benly. The only thing that killed it was electrical issues, so yeah I feel your pain. The first thing I remember about it after years of riding a Honda CG125 was the extra grunt on pull away. Back then it felt like a huge powerful bike to someone who had never ridden anything bigger than 125.

Lovely bike Kristen, so much character! Great job! BTW, I noticed the preload collar on the rear shock was on its stiffest setting. Not sure if the other one is, too, but adjusting the spring preload might improve the ‘hard tail’ like ride you mentioned. Cheers and stay safe!
I've always been a fan of bikes, old road racing mostly, been thinking about getting myself a first bike after spending too many years in fast, sporty four wheel machines rather than two.. I've been looking something I could get a retro look and good sound from while not costing the earth and not being a huge cc. This video has definitely inspired me to look at these CD200.
My first 'real' bike in 1991/2 was a 1978 Benly, and I still have it. Got a few more since though, in boxes. They're a lovely gentle bike and easy to work on...
My first proper bike was a Honda CD175 in 1976. Great little engine. I admire your ability to ride your 200 with that seat. I rode mine everywhere including Wales and Devon as well as every race meeting I could. Ride safe.
I admire these people. They really know what they want. They doesn't care about comfi or somethin. What important for them are the excitement of they can ride what they love. Respect.
Unique! I had a 1975 CD175, and once got electric shocks down my legs while riding in heavy rain, as the metal plug caps short-circuited. The bike ate tyres, chains, sprockets and exhaust pipes, but was great fun to ride. Except two-up, when the brakes faded instantly.
I was given a blue one with the curly mudguards as a courier bike for a company in Queen's gate mews. I thrashed the gonads off that but it stayed strong. This is a great job at keeping one running. They are actually quite rare now.
Love it. I built a very similar about six years ago. Don't tell everyone how much fun they are though; I might want another one. Everybody's doin it now though. Glad to see another one keeping the smiles on faces. Good call with the tank. They never look any good painted unless completely original

To be honest , CD 200 is one iconic 2 cylinders motorbike . You are so lucky to have one Honda should make this one again, sure with many upgrades , such as CDI , injection system and LED light
For some reason, those 80's Honda bikes just do NOT die. I've owned a few throughout the past 10-15 years, but my favorite was the 82 CX500 Custom. That engine was absolutely impervious to anything and everything that threatened to take it down. Case in point, I crashed into the back of a box truck because some knob in the next lane sped up ("get in front of me?? not on my watch!") so by the time I realized I couldn't move over, I was speeding towards a box truck (stopped at a green light of all things, I only claim partial fault) and locked my brakes trying to stop. The front wheel hit, flexed the forks so much the wheel crushed the radiator and was leaking everywhere. Bike still rode straight, and didn't overheat.
The springs are set in the full firm position for the rear. That't probably why she has issues with it being too stiff. You have to adjust those for lighter riders.
That's a sweet ride. My first bike was a 200 Benly. Bulletproof engine. Absolutely loved it. Sadly it went when I bought my first Harley Sportster. But I'd love another Benly.
Nice looking machine. Last year I bought a honda cb200. Beater. Just got a titled frame this morning so into the garage to do a swap and maybe in a few months I'll have something similar. Love the knobbies. Probably be ok off road. 200 is a great size bike. Just enough power but light enough to be manoeuvrable. Great video.

I agree. Having ridden long trips around Europe one knows you wouldn't get far on one of these so what's the point. But that is precisely the point methinks. When you feel like a stripped down ride, this ticks the boxes even if you are just heading to your local bike meet.

I own the same bike in American Trim. The CL200 twin here is the "Scrambler" version and I'm in the process of turning it into a Brat. I purchased it in baskets with a seized piston, but the engine is shaping up from the bottom up. Your bike looks Amazing Kristen! Keep the rubber side down! Cheers from the States! (I own 8 bikes currently with 6 being all 1975 or earlier. Gotta love these old Honda's!) Zip~
I love it! Nothing wrong with the owner either 😍
I'd surely look funny on it with my 1,96 metres (a bit over 6ft 4) :-)
My daily ride is a 1983 BMW K100, completely stock. I love that thing to bits...
It's a nice bike. I can't imagine what they thought when it came out. Aggressive but sleek at the same time?? I really like it.
Cool bike👍🏍️, nice to see a lady loving her bike.
