Found your channel when I hooked my peepers on this classy Eldorado Brougham. 1957 & 1958 were the nicest years. Graduated from Putnam High School when Governor Dempsey was in office. He was a former mayor of Putnam and spoke at our graduation. We own a 2008 DTS (85,500 miles) in White Diamond Tricoat with a burgundy canvas roof covering. Where in Ct are you located?
In 1965 my family had a 57 Eldorado, factory dual 4 barrel carbs, leather inside, canvas top. It had had 2 not 4 headlights 2 door hardtop. Sure wish I had it now
What an absolutely stunning example. You have every right to be justifiably proud of this very fine motor car. I have never seen one in this particular color, Maharani Maroon, and it is exquisite. You even have the vanity set! Awesome. Congratulations and thank you for the wonderful video, Randy!
@@ride-ct-classiccars thank you very much for responding. Thought maybe it could be since there were only a very small number of these models built with this specific paint color.
@@robbernath Just heard back from the owner. The car you saw on a Mecum auction wasn't his. He said he has no plans to part with his. "It is just too unusual to sell," he wrote in an email, adding that his interior is beige while the one on the auction was gray..
@@ride-ct-classiccars OK - thanks for the follow-up reply. Pretty unusual to have two rare classics in that same exterior color choice survive, albeit with different color interiors. Would have to believe the car you featured in this video compares very favorably to the example that sold, so valuation would be about the same, in my opinion. Take care.
The 58 had 335 hp via 3 2barrel carbs vs 57 325 hp via 2 4barrels. The only change in two year models. No options, just choice like paint and interior colors and materials.
My great-grandmother had one in gunmetal with a white top. The first day she moved into her new house, her Dagmars put two puncture holes in the front of the garage. She quit driving after three years , so it never accumulated over 19,000 miles in the twenty years she had it. I was only 8, but she'd have me start it and run it for a while to ensure the battery stayed charged since I played in it constantly. Boy, I was heartbroken after she died. I was too young to inherit the car, and some college-age kid bought this pampered piece of automotive art and parked it in a field.
unbelievable car ✌️✌️🚗🚗
You said it!
Really a dream car !! 👌👌👍👍Beautiful color ! I have a 1:18 scale model

Was this the car that sold recently at a MECUM auction for $200,000 or is this another example in the same color?
Let me contact the owner and I'll find an answer for you.

Take care.
A work of art.
Gorgeous.
Yes, it is.
What a beautiful car
It's even more gorgeous in person!
Beautiful Cadillac, beautiful color !
It sparkles in the sun!
I heard the air ride was optional and i think you forgot the magnetic shot glasses that came in the glovebox
He has the shot glasses. I know I included them in the print story.
The dagmars at the front bumper will do some severe damage to alot of today's automobiles in rear end collisions
But they look good on it!

Ours only got 7 MPG in the city. I learned to drive in it
Spectacular Cadillac 😮❤
Glad you like it!
